Hi, my name is August and I’m going to tell you about the history of Thailand.
Thailand's date of founding was in 1238. Thailand was founded by two Thai governors, Sri Inthrathit and Khun Pra Muang who rebelled against Cambodia and gave independence to the region.
Sukhothai was the first capital city of the kingdom Siam. The kingdom was founded by Si Inthrathit in 1238 and was the capital of Siam in 1238 until 1438, when it fell under the influence of the neighboring Ayutthaya after the death of king Maha Thammaracha the IV. After the reign of Ram Khampheng, the kingdom fell into decline. In 1349, during the reign of King Li Thai, Sukhothai was invaded by the Ayutthaya.
Thonburi was founded in 1767 and ended in 1782. Thonburi was the shortest capital city of the Siamese kingdom. It only existed for a short 14 years. The kingdom was founded by King Taksin the Great, who reunited the Siamese Kingdom following the collapse of the Ayutthaya kingdom which made the kingdom separate into 5 regional states. Thonburi kingdom end in 1782 when King Taksin was deposed by a major Thonburi military commander named Chao Phraya Chakri, who founded the Rattanakosin kingdom (Bangkok), the fourth capital city in the Siamese history.

The Ayutthaya Kingdom was a Siamese kingdom that existed in 1351 to 1767. The Ayutthaya kingdom was the second capital city of the Siamese kingdom. It flourished in the 14th to the 18th century. In 1767 the city was burned by fires of the Burmese and now the remains of the city are for visitors to walk and stay for a few nights.

In 1782, King Rama I re-establish the capital city and moved the capital to the east bank of the river and relocated the Chinese settled area between Wat Sam Pluem and Wat Sampheng. First, the outline! Just go over the lines in the photo and it should look like this
There are many ways of sketching people but the most common way is lightly making small
We should use the most lightest pencil we have when we’re doing a design because it will be easier to erase
Next, color it in. You can do that by dragging the color from the right side but make sure that there are no holes in the line or else something bad will happen. Do the face and then weʼre done! We could use dots as eyes too!
When you’re really good you may add some more details and learn techniques like smudging some parts.
Last term CITY LIFE caught up with Prasit Hemmin and author Scott Riley. Prasit was one of the boys who inspired the incredible floating football pitch of Koh Panyee Floating Village in Phang Nga Bay which became the subject of Scott Riley’s book. 5JT posed the questions.
What made you think of building a floating field? Since there is no place to practice at all, we were inspired by villagers who made fish farms and floating cages. The idea of making fish cages helped us dream of a floating training ground for football.
Did you have to ask anyone if you could build the floating field?
I don’t think we asked anyone. We just thought about how to do it so that we could practice all the time.
Were you happy that you got third place in the league tournament?
It was amazing, and we were very happy to be able to reach third unexpectedly.
Before you built the floating field, were you a more sociable kid or a more keep-to-yourself kind of kid?
I am a person who likes to have fun with friends. I like playing sports with friends, I like to socialize with friends, and when we played together, it was easy to get along with each other.
Fremantle Prison is a tourist attraction. It is near the Fremantle station. There is a café called: no escape café.
Perth is the west part of the country Australia (WA). On this page, I am going to introduce some places in Perth. I will also write some facts about Perth.
Perth is the west part of the country Australia (WA). On this page, I am going to introduce some places in Perth. I will also write some facts about Perth.
- Perth is the capital city of Australia.
- Perth is also the sunniest capital city in the world.
- It is the only place that we can see Quokkas in the wild.
- There is a pink lake in Perth.
How did you feel when you finished building the floating field?
We had a great sense of pride in being able to do what we wanted like playing football every day even though it was not very big.
How long did it take to build the floating field?
Fremantle Prison is a tourist attraction. It is near the Fremantle station. There is a café called: no escape café.
It took us a long time to build the football field so we asked for the help of wood scraps from villagers who were no longer using it after changing their homes.
Are you still friends with the boys?
Friends in our group at that time still love each other today. We continue to do group activities as before, and we still play football together as before, but now we’re in the age group of 50 and up.
What football team do you support?
In the past, I really liked the Brazilian football team and the Thai national team whose players were my idols.
How does playing on a grass field compare to the floating field?
also a tourist attraction. It is about 165km from the Perth station(It is quite far but it is
Pinnacles Dessert is also a tourist attraction. It is about 165km from the Perth station(It is quite far but it is exiting).
It’s very different, grass is a field where you can play without hurting your feet, but a floating field is a field where we have to control how we play.
What did you learn about community spirit when you were building the floating field?
This is Rottnest island.
You can take a ferry from Fremantle to go there. You can take some wonderful pictures! Also there are some Quokkas(also known as the happiest animal in the world)! There are a lot of them!
What surprised me most was the community’s sense of surprise that this was not expected to happen in our island community. Also we brought good things to their quality of life, both children and adults.
What was the most challenging part of building the floating field?
It was difficult to find equipment in the community to build it. Also there were some who did not support us. They did not understand what these children were thinking of doing, but we showed them through our actions..
How did you find out about the floating field?
I first found out about the floating field from a news article I read online back in 2017. Since I live in Singapore, I’m always reading about interesting places and people in the region, and if I’m lucky, I get to go visit and meet them. With this story, I just had to find out more. I read all that I could in articles online and guidebooks, and I found some videos too, including the Thai bank commercial on youtube that recreated the story of the Floating Field. Along the way, I learned about Prasit Hemmin, one of the boys who became a soccer coach later on. I didn’t know if the floating field still existed or if Prasit or any of the other boys were still on Koh Panyee. So in 2018, I decided to go to the island to find out.
Why did you want to write this story?
When I first read this story, I was amazed. I wondered how a group of boys could build a floating soccer field on their own. I wanted to know what happened to the boys after. And what happened to the field. I thought that if I was so surprised, curious, and inspired by the story, I bet others might be too–especially kids. There’s another reason why I wanted to write this story, and it’s something that Prasit told me. If you look on the first page of the book, there’s a quote by him that says, “What’s most important is that anything is possible. And as a community or team, you can overcome incredibly impossible odds.” Most of us don’t live on an island or want to build a floating field, but we all have challenges. Prasit reminded me that when we work together, we can overcome nearly anything.
Why did you only write the story about Prasit?
The Floating Field is a narrative nonfiction book. That means that everything in it really happened. I would have loved to include details from some of the other boys, but I didn’t have any information about their experiences. Prasit told me some of them still live on Koh Panyee, but I didn’t get a chance to meet them and interview them, and since I don’t speak Thai, I couldn’t communicate with them. Luckily Prasit speaks English. I also learned that he was their leader and went on to become the coach of the Panyee Football Club. He was the right person to be the main character for this story.
How did you feel when you first saw the villagers?
When I first walked through Koh Panyee, I saw all the different jobs and aspects of life on the island that I couldn’t read about in articles or see in videos I researched. There were shopkeepers, food stall vendors, men fixing boats, and women tending to the day’s catch. Others were chatting on their front steps, listening to their caged songbirds hanging nearby. At certain times of the day, villagers headed to the mosque at the heart of the village right beneath the cliff. At lunch time, boatloads of tourists arrive at the restaurants lining one of the edges of the village to enjoy a delicious meal of fresh seafood, caught and cooked by the villagers. Later on, after they all have left, the village quiets a bit and readies for dusk. Fishermen return home. The Football Club practices near the school. And families gather for dinner. I felt a sense of peaceful rhythm on the island, much like the ebb and flow of the tides beneath the village.
How did you feel when you were writing this story?
One of the things I love about writing is how the process always surprises me. What I mean by that is when I sit down to write, I don’t expect my first draft to be any good. Or even the second. Or third. In fact, for this story I wrote over 40 drafts! On some days, I was frustrated when writing, but on most days I felt excited especially with those “ah ha” moments when I felt I got the wording just right or when I decided to repeat some lines intentionally. Can you find them in the story? What I realized throughout writing this book is that I probably experienced the same emotions that Prasit and his friends experienced while building the floating field. In both cases we were trying to do things we hadn’t ever done before, and with persistence and hard work, we overcame what we initially thought was impossible.
What did you learn about community from the villagers on Koh Panyee?
For hundreds of years, the families of Koh Panyee have lived and worked together to build a thriving community. Every time I walked through the village I couldn’t help but think about how strong they have been to build their village in such a unique place and base it on shared values of family and faith. Over the years they have been tested with weather conditions, connections with the mainland, and even a global pandemic, but they know who they are, and they are proud of it. The Koh Panyee Football Club is one of their proud accomplishments. Thanks to Prasit and his friends’ dream, they built something together that no one thought possible. And since then, the Football Club has become known throughout Thailand as one of the best local clubs. They even hosted their first soccer tournament with over twenty teams coming to the island to play this past January.
What was the most challenging thing for you when writing this story?
For some reason the ending was a bit challenging for me to get right. In some ways, the fact that the boys didn’t win the tournament helped emphasize that winning really isn’t everything, but it took a lot of drafts for that last page to sound right. It reads, “As the boys drifted back to the pier, their laughter echoed off the cliffs once again. But this time, they didn’t have to dream about when they’d play next. They had their floating field where they could play the game they loved, whenever they wanted.” I wanted to lift the reader up a bit after having read about their exciting semi-final loss. Hopefully this paragraph does that.

A usual theme park with roller coasters, and other attractions. And peoples’ favorite attraction, the Snow-Skiing 1town! I’ve honestly never been in there before, but it will probably be quite freezing! There’s also a delicious-dishes food court and KFC!!!

Great place for some active activities, and not to worry about food, since this attraction is located in a highway rest stop! This attraction is about riding ATVs and having a fun time! It’s quite pricy though, 400-500 baht for a 10-15 minutes ride. But, I did enjoy learning and driving ATVs.

How to play
When you start do a quest (the quest depends on your team) until the compass tells you to go to jungle. Note for jungle:this is where most people quit and start spamming plss fruit in the chat and stop progressing but don’t do this continue doing quests and moving islands till level 700 to get to second sea
My opinion on fruits I used
Kilo
Don’t use it if you even get it yoink it in ocean unless it’s your first fruit.
Spring
Very decent damage and pvp use (3rd most knock back in the game).
Spin
Pretty bad unless you started and needs transportation.
Chop
Very good for starters since most enemies use swords(its immune to swords but not bosses).
Bomb
Pretty good for long range attacks and amazing AOE but if your play style is fast pace this fruit does not fit you because it has long charge time to get full damage.
Spike
It’s a budget dough fruit very similar moves to the awakened version but the fruit itself has a balance of ranged and melee moves very good.
Smoke
Smoke is very similar to magma because of after effects (puddle for magma and bomb/ smokescreen damage for smoke) for the fruit itself is very solid, it has a damaging transportation move and very fast range moves.
Flame
Flame is so good when you started, it’s wide variety of ranged and close attacks are great for pvp very good.
1. try to glitch through the door under snow island (you’ll get a key later in the game)
2.fight higher level NPCs
3.do the 1st sea puzzle before level 200
4.Try bounty hunting early in the game
5.do shanks’s puzzle before level 199
note:by the time the magazine is done some updates should have been released so this page might be outdated
Ice
Ice is amazing if you click fast since it has a passive ability of a frozen trident and all moves has stun.
Light is basically faster ice and the best fly in the game.
Barrier
Barrier has amazing troll potential because nothing can go past the barriers even range attacks.
Magma
Magma has the best damage in the game as I said earlier the moves create lava puddles that damage enemies .
Buddha
The only thing I want to say is that this fruit increases range to insane levels(melee/sword).
By MaekShank’s quest
Also known as the saber expert’s puzzle is a challenging one to do as it requires LV:200.
First, activate all 4 hidden buttons on the jungle island. After that, go under the quest giver’s platform and you would see a small hole when you go in it you should get a torch
After that, travel to the desert and you would find a house in the sand. When you enter the house use your torch to burn down a curtain and get the cup.
When you get the cup, go to snow village and in a cave, fill up the cup by standing below a dripping icicle and give it to the sick man.
After giving the cup to the man, travel to pirate village (not starter) and talk to the rich man which would give you a weird relic.
Finally, go to the jungle and unlock a now visible door. Now you have unlocked the level 200 boss shanks/saber expert.
Note: if you are not level 200 and completed the quest you could always talk to the rich man to get back the relic.

Hellooooooooo. My name is Stitch. You might have seen my Stitch’s Words Of Wonder page at the- uh oh… I can’t say any more! You need to see for yourself! Anyway, on with the information!
My Mummy (Emily 6KH) asked me to say some things about stitches, so I agreed, becauseHELLO? I will be famous!
So, there are different dimensions for stitches, and in this one there are nine stitches. The red stitch (Ruby), the orange stitch (Dynamo), the yellow stitch (Sunny), the green stitch (Sopie), the blue stitch (ME, STITCHIE THE MASTER), the purple stitch (Soda), the pink stitch (Angel), the black stitch (Midnight) and the brown stitch (Mung). Each one of these stitchies has a different personality. Take Sopie, for example. If anything, and I mean anything is even the slightest bit dirty, she will go crazy and start scrubbing it! Or Dynamo. Dynamo likes… BOOM BOOM! hehe. In other dimensions, there are different colours of stitches. Amazing, right?
Now, another awesome thing about stitches. Each stitch has an X-word. An X-word is a particular word that a particular stitch cannot and MUST not hear. Here is a useful picture explaining Xwords in more detail.
Each stitch has a special power that they unlock when they are older. Sometimes the powers can be incredibly dangerous, so the stitches need to be raised and trained properly. Ruby’s power is controlling people and stitch’s emotions, Dynamo’s power is explosions (hence the name), Sunny’s power is light (Midnight and Sunny don’t get on), Sopie’s power is cleanliness, my power is flight (I fly with my ears), Soda’s power is water, Angel’s power is love, Mung’s power is… toxic emissions let’s just say and Midnight’s power is death…

What’s the first game that comes to mind when someone asks you to name a fighting game that had more than 20 trailers, got two waves of dlc( downloadable content) and was almost cancelled multiple times, that’s right, Smash Bros Ultimate. Smash bros ultimate was the fifth game in the smash bros series and ended up being the most popular in its series. Currently, MKLeo is the world’s greatest smash bros player winning many tournaments and being in the finals of many tournaments. Knowing all the moves your character is capable of will give you the upper hand in most battles, however counter picking can negate this.
Adventure mode as you go round freeing spirits and saving fighters from Galeem’s control. There are multiple ways collecting spirits, and if you have strong ones you can create spirit teams to use in battle.
In classic mode you go through six fights as one character, the fight a boss character that is stronger than a usual fighter. Each character will have different fights all of them with a theme.
Thank you for reading my Stitch page! Again, make sure to check out the Stitch Words of Wisdom page at the back of the book! See you!

Located in the well-known Pak Chong district, I’m sure all of you folks reading this are already familiar with the attraction, but to summarise it for those of you who don’t know, it’s a large national park with the most natural & mountainous landscape and is also a habitat for lots of animals such as elephants, snakes, ants, types of birds, and much more as you can imagine on the hiking trails. There will also be a future motorway connecting to the attraction!
The fascinating Nintendo switch is an amazing gallery of a new world. Loads of peculiar characters (like me Mario) and fun games! Each are unique in their own way! But this one, I shall discuss with you today, is a game very old and yet still popular to play. Can you guess what this game might be? If you guessed Mario Kart, then you are correct! If you don’t play Mario Kart, then get your switches and load the Mario Kart game right away!

Last term we were lucky enough to welcome the hugely talented poet Simon Mole to City Campus. He was kind enough to take time out of his busy schedule to do an interview for CITY LIFE.
How many years have you been a poet?
Oh! That’s a good question! It’s been my job for about ten years. I think you guys are poets, so I think I’ve been a poet since I was a child. I used to have fun with words and my mom would make up stories and silly rhymes. You change the words to a song. And I think that is poetry as well. So I’ve been a poet all my life, just like you guys.
So it’s your job? So you get paid?
Yeah. Yeah. Well, not always. Sometimes I just write a poem because I want to write a poem. Sometimes it’s quite tricky because I will be getting paid to do some writing. But sometimes, when I sit there, I don’t know what to put in a poem. Sometimes when you’re writing, you’re not quite sure what to say and that happens all the time to me as well.
Tell us about some of your hobbies!
I like to go walking, hill walking in the countryside. I like to ride my bike. I have two children I like to spend time with. My son is eight. He loves football. I like to play football with him. My daughter is four. She also quite likes poems and stuff at the moment. So spending time with family. I have a lot of food sometimes, cooking at home. Great question though.
What was the first poem you remember writing?
I wrote one poem about having a very, very bad haircut. I went to the hairdressers and they gave me a haircut and it was very bad. I am very polite and he asked, Do you like it? And I was like, Oh yeah, yeah, it’s great. But really, I knew I was rubbish. And then I went home. My friend was like, Oh my gosh, what’s wrong with your hair? So there’s a poem about being you know, too scared to say. I should have said, can you change it a bit? It’s a bit like a story and poem mixed together Great question.
Where do you get your ideas?
Oh! That kind of links to the one before because that was something that really happened to me. So I just wrote about something that had really happened. So sometimes I write about stuff like that around me in real life or sometimes like we did in the assembly. I just come up with some more unusual ideas you think it’s a bit crazy or a bit silly, and sometimes an idea comes because it flies from another idea almost by accident. You know, you are writing and then you say, oh! Now I could say this guy. And then you start with one thing and then that leads to
What were you like at school?
Oh, these guys are putting out some good questions. What was I like at school?
I was a very well behaved boy at all times, and I always. Mostly always. I was quite well behaved. I was a little cheeky with words, but that is exactly what my job is now So maybe it’s okay. I used to be a bit... I like to make jokes with my friends, do you know what I mean? And most of the time I did this at play time, so it was okay.
Why do you write poetry?
Oh, that is a really good question. So I think that what I love about a poem is this it’s a strange answer but i find it helps you to say something which you can’t say otherwise. Yeah, there’s something about the sound of the words. So, you know, to say you could set up a rock and a stone. Yeah. Now what do you think? is shaper out of a rock or a stone? Stone... a stone. What do you think? Oh, know. Sure. So some people say that because the word rock has That sound at the end, they think that it has a sharper sound a stone is like a smoother sound in the middle. Okay, So they mean almost the same thing, but they sound different and what I like about poetry is that the sound of the words or the shape of the poem? tell you what it means.
So I’m also sometimes I like it because it just helps me to feel good. You know, if you are like a bit sad or you’re feeling a bit annoyed and you can do some writing, even if it doesn’t, it’s not a poem I do in an assembly. Maybe it helps me to feel nice because it is on the page. It’s gone from my head, you know? I mean, some poetry can be healthy as well.
Which poet or author inspired you and why?
Ah it’s someone who has done an online visit here. Michael Rosen is someone I’m very inspired by but I love some of his earlier poems for children. There’s one called bananas in your ears. We talked about bananas in assembly maybe that’s why thought about it But yeah, he’s just talking about everyday stuff and that’s what inspired me about it
Favourite book? Ooh that’s a very tricky one. There are so many favourite books. Maybe I will go with that Michael Rosen one Bananas in your ears, I think it is called. It’s poems but has some cool pictures as well
What kind of music do you like?
I like a lot of different music. I quite like rap music probably because it quite a lot of poetry. So I listen a lot to the lyrics. So to be honest, I like any kind of music, but I’m always listening out to see what the words are.

Hi, my name is August and I’m going to tell you about the history of Thailand.
Thailand's date of founding was in 1238. Thailand was founded by two Thai governors, Sri Inthrathit and Khun Pra Muang who rebelled against Cambodia and gave independence to the region.
Sukhothai

Hello, I am the beautiful and courageous Stitch. This magazine is a thing of wonders but it wouldn’t be complete without words from the glorious me. I will leave you with a quote:
It’s nice to see you again, humans. You should be very grateful, as I am here and your purpose in life has been fulfilled. Congratulations. Moving on, these are my words of wisdom for this magazine (that is only good because I am in it):
“If you’re having a bad day, eat some ice cream!”
“When you’re feeling a bit blue, make some cheese on toast!”
See you next time! Stitch
PS, please read my Stitch page!! Stitchie, OUT.
