1. THESIS DESIGN Hemp research and development center: The project was an attempt to use a new building material to build a relatively technical building such as a research center, with challenges of span and height.

Consideration was given to the main functionality of the structure, and its amalgamation with hempcrete, timber and steel.

2. INTERIOR

This interior design project was done in the elective course, which required to design the layout and urniture of a service apartment that had two studio apartments and 2 flats. The concept taken was homeliness. Opposite to pristine and sharp edged features, a soft environment was attempted with pastels and warm spaces.

WORKING DRAWINGS The apartment is of 1995.48 sq ft area. and has with central staircase and lift.

It is assumed that ventilation is accessible from all sides. Two studio apartments on either side of the staircase and two flats adjacent to each other are placed.

3. INTERNSHIP I worked at Karu architects for 6 months in my internship period.

There I was involved in working drawings, municipal drawings, facade design and interior design projects. With my supervisor I also got the chance of site supervision and attending cliental meetings.

4. CONSERVATION I worked at the open street map project: ‘Mapping for sustainability’. It was a conservation project to outline and place, historical and culturally significant areas on the map correctly. It also catered to making a 3d roof plan map for Haadigaon area.

1. HAADIGAON MAP: All elements of a temple were documented, their roof plans made and added to the KVPT map for further, which would then be updated on the site.

2. CONSERVATION STUDIO: In a group project, we documented the ‘Tu nani’ area with detailed measurements regarding stone sizes, slope angles and drainage method of the courtyard. Details of chaityas, wells and special windows were also taken and digitally preserved.

5. COMPETITIONS Throughout my school life, I have tried to participate in as many design competitions as possible.

Revitalizing Tankeshwor-Unalome we secured 1st runnerup an in arc asia 5 mins park we managed to secure 3rd position nation wide.

UNALOME THE PATH OF EXPERIENCE The concept is derived from the Buddhist word ‘Unalome’ which depicts life from birth to death and nirvana, corresponding to the site which was a scarcely used ‘ghat’ near the Tankeshwor temple. To build anything in the land had to respect the culture of the place while giving solace to grieving family yet still infuse the liveliness of a park. As such the park was designed such that it respects all its existing traditions. Thus, it is divided into three transition zones Eye of energy Winding paths Area of solace

SCHOOL STUDY AND PLAY SPATIAL LINKAGES

Designing a school in a small singular building often means, adding as much classes as possible. Taking this challenge, a school was designed in such a way that every classroom had a open space of its own, which serves as an interactive area. With the simple concept taken from Jenga blocks, an effort was made to break the monotony and introduce singular large areas private to every storey yet open enough for adequate survelance from the teachers

5 MINUTE PARK

In the ARC Asia design competition, We tried to design a 5 mins park taking a practical approach on the design with what really was required for the neighborhood around it.

Adding elements like solitary spaces, long paths and shortcuts, sensory park and nursery, we tried to design a wholesome space with users at its center.
