By Kelly Cherewick, Makeup Artist + Owner of The Artist Groupe

veryone wants to look their very best for their wedding, and this year’s couples are more than ready to be front and centre on their big day!

After picking out your wedding attire, it’s time to start looking for your wedding day makeup inspiration. Look no further, as The Artist Groupe has done the work for you. Every year, a new trend pops up for wedding makeup looks, and 2023 is going to be amazing! Book a trial with your makeup artist and have fun!

1. Blushing Beauties. Rosy cheeks and weddings go hand in hand, so it’s no surprise to see lots of blush on the runways during New York Fashion Week. Pinks, corals, bronzes in creams, sheer powders and liquids, are the go-to this season (but be careful not to overdo it). Applying the product with a brush to the apples of the cheeks and sweeping it up towards your temples will give a natural finish and instant face lift. My faves are NARS liquid blush in Orgasm, and Huda Beauty in Rusty Red.

2. Bronze Coloured Lids. This year, the eyes will be the focus with bronzy colours for a goddess-inspired look. An over constructed eye is no longer the desired look (think a cut crease), but rather, a gentle sweep of gold or bronze to the lid that’s defined with liner and mascara. My faves are Amber Lights by MAC and Kitten Karma by Stila.

3. Luminous Skin. No more matte foundation, it’s all about the glow! To get that luminous complexion, use a cream on the high planes of your face underbrows and cheekbones, and carry it onto the decolletage and shoulders. My faves are Strobe Cream by MAC and Face and Body Illuminator by TAG Cosmetics.

4. Gloss. Glossy lips are back, baby! Juicy, kissable lips look amazing in photos and in real life – they give your pretty pout an instant plump! Pinks, peaches and bright reds with a lip liner are this year’s must haves. My faves are TAG Cosmetics' gloss in Heartbreaker, and MAC’s Lipglass in Nymphette.

5. Fluffy Lashes. Complete your look by adding extra false lashes and watch your eyes pop! Individual lashes are fun, or add a whole set to give a more dramatic look. My faves are MAC's #7 or KISS' So Wispy.
