Shows I Go To Family, I have thoroughly enjoyed writing the GlowScopes for you for months now. They are so fun, true, and dear to my heart. A few weeks back, Mitch and I talked about turning the GlowScopes into ShowScopes and both of us were (and are!) so stoked to do it. For a glimpse into the future — ShowScopes will be your monthly horoscope that recommends what music and live shows you should listen to/attend based on your horoscope for the month ahead. I will continue to include what energies the New Moon, Full Moon, and Zodiac Season are bringing for the month ahead as well. When I went to write the first premiere of ShowScopes a few days ago, a wave of sadness came over me when I realized that actually, there are no shows to suggest to anyone at this time due to the current circumstances of our world. Writing the traditional GlowScopes felt like a cover up to something that actually really needs to be addressed. So this month I’m here to address this and share some words: Keep playing the songs that make you feel alive. Play the songs that bring up the past. Play the songs that bring you to your knees. Play the songs that make you remember looking over at your friend while they were playing at a festival and you’re probably laughing because of too many mushrooms (maybe that’s just me but I doubt it). Play the songs you were counting on hearing at that upcoming concert that was cancelled or (ideally) postponed. Play the songs that make you laugh and dance and remember amazing times.

Sing them out loud. Get the fuck down and dance. Mix up the tunes. Play the hard rock, the jambands, the funk, the EDM, the blues, the rap, the bluegrass, the whateverthefuckitis you need to play. Pass out naked in your living room. Wake up peacefully in your bed. Wake up in your hammock in the yard because the night got cold but Keller Williams radio is still playing on the porch and your joint just burnt your hand...I could go on. The point is: Keep music in your life and keep finding YOU in all of the notes. You’ve always had you. You know what I mean? Like in the best friend way of, “I’ve always had the best freakin times at shows because I always show me who I really am and that’s the me I’m obsessed with.” Yeah. That “show you” is with you now and is wondering what song you’re about to turn on and get down to so you can reconnect. It’s showing up so you can change your path towards more music. These are some weirdass times. But no one from the Shows I Go To Family is alone. Call a friend, share some music, look up at the moon, boogie the fuck down... Do what you need to do in these times. Maybe do all those at once. Just know — You are not alone. No one is alone. We are going to get through this. Breathe. I can’t wait to see you at the next show...we will RAGE. In the meantime, Be well. I love you. As the Grateful Dead say, “The music never stopped...” -RW
