“WHAT’S YOUR STYLE” Foreword Growing up, I lived among my two older brothers and our beloved Mother. I was fortunate enough to spend a lot of time just my mother and I. Some of my favorite moments involving the two of us were trips to her favorite clothing spots — she was a simple Ross & TJ Maxx kind of woman who hovered the clearance areas and got the name brand goodies for cheap. I recall the car rides to-and-from the stores and how she would play the best music that we would sing and dance to all the while. What I’ve come to understand now about those golden times is my Mother was picking the radio stations that played music which matched the vibes of her outfits or clothing style she was looking for on the way to the store or had just bought. Little did she know, she was subliminally letting me know how much music inspires fashion; what one person is heavily listening to, they will most likely begin to wear the clothing styles to fit that genre at some point in their life and usually for a long period of time. Over the past few years as my music career progressed, I began to realize the biggest impacts and influences on the many different cultures in the world are music — and its inspiration on fashion. How we initially connect and seek friendship at the most innocent level is merely based off the tunes we listen to and the clothes we’re into.

6

“What’s Your Style” is a vessel to better expose intimate, fun, and fascinating fashion stories and conversations shared with musical artists who wholeheartedly represent the equation of how their songs influence their styles, thus how the two have impacted the cultures around them and continue to. This is something I’ve prayed on, dreamt about, and spoken into existence, and I’m elated to dive into the narrative of personal style and to be able to style these artists at the end of our encounter. Give and Give Thanks, - Evan Taylor Jones

Hungry For Hulaween? Exploring Suwannee Hulaween 2019 Lineup

Suwannee Hulaween dropped a monstrous phase one lineup once again which includes a ton of strong up-and-coming artists as well as some of our favorite big-time national acts. This Beast of the Southeast will cater to fans interested in Dance, Bass, Bluegrass, Funk, Rock, Jam, Reggae, and more! Here, we will try to digest this behemoth collection of delicious talent by identifying each artists’ background, style of music, and ways to find more information about them.

THE STRING CHEESE INCIDENT — Assembled in 1993 in Colorado, this 6-piece force is the nations premiere progressive bluegrass jam band. Every show is a spectacle with top-notch lights, performers and special guests. Prepare yourself for 7 stellar “incidents,” including one theme set at Hulaween this year! BASSNECTAR — DJ Lorin Ashton became ‘Bassnectar’ in 2002 and has been climbing to to top of festival lineups ever since. Now headlining wherever he appears, this polarizing DJ/producer hypes his loyal fans with extreme bass, dubstep, and breakbeats with hip-hop flare. Bassnectar has 10 studio albums under his belt and is now hosting his own festival: Deja Voom. Although his fans tend to get a bad rap, they were without conflict during his last visit to the sacred lands of the Spirit of Suwannee. Bring your positive vibes for this electrifying set!

ANDERSON .PAAK & THE FREE NATIONALS — Singer, songwriter, rapper, multi-instrumentalist are all great words to describe this 33 year old phenom. Hailing from Oxnard, California, .Paak released his debut album in 2012 called O.B.E. Vol. 1. Now an extremely popular artist, .Paak has championed the neo-soul sound movement in addition to his hip-hop, R&B, funk, and jazz offerings. Anderson recently released a solo album titled Ventura in addition to his viral collaboration, Yes Lawd!, in 2016 with L.A. producer Knxwledge as NxWorries. And we think he had one of the best NPR Tiny Desk performances ever.. JASON ISBELL & THE 400 UNIT — A former member of the Drive-by Truckers from 2001-2007, guitarist Jason Isbell has won four Grammys. His latest winning in 2018 for Best Americana Album, The Nashville Sound. After leaving the Truckers, Isbell 14 released his first solo album in 2007, titled Sirens of the Ditch.

14

JAI WOLF — New York’s Sajeeb Saha (Jai Wolf) released his 2019 album, The Cure To Lonliness in April. His Indie Chill-Step has fans falling in love with his vibes like hit song, Indian Summer.

Photos by: Chad Pearce /// @chadapearce /// Full gallery at — showsigoto.com/hulaween-live-review-2018

In 2009, Isbell joined the 400 Unit to release his second solo album, self-titled Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit. Americana, Alternative Country, and Southern Rock are all on the menu for Isbell’s tasty Hulaween set. BIG WILD — Formerly a hip-hop beat producer, known as J Beatz, Jackson Stell produces electronic music with roots in indie and pop. FLYING LOTUS — No doubt he will be spinning his new album, Flamagra, which features huge artists like Anderson .Paak, George Clinton, and Little Dragon. Founder of the record label Brainfeeder, FlyLo hails from L.A. Check out “Black Balloons Reprise” featuring Denzel Curry on this brand new shit. I can best describe his sound as dramatic Psy-Trance music with both Hip-Hop beats and lyrics, although it really is a changing work of art from song to song. Visit this set and expannnnnnnnnnnnnnnd your horizonsssss. GREENSKY BLUEGRASS — These bluegrass mavericks from Kalamazoo, MI have figured out how to blend the culture and sound of stomp-and-strings bluegrass with a rock-n-roll, break-the-rules attitude. They have 10 offerings for their fans and committed to making music for a very long time to come. TOM MORELLO — Guitarist from the massive rock band, Rage Against The Machine. Get ready for the wildest guitar sounds to ever pierce your ears along with some classic hits.

JOE RUSSO’S ALMOST DEAD — Joe Russo is the best drummer on the planet. Formerly of the Benevento/ Russo Duo, that pianist and drummer are now pushing the classic songs of the Grateful Dead to the limit. JRAD also includes Tom Hamilton (guitar), Scott Metzger (guitar), Marco Benevento (keys), and Ween’s Dave Dreiwitz (bass).

SNAILS — Puke-Step. SOUND TRIBE SECTOR NINE — After 11 albums (2 remixed) this six piece Live’tronica band from Georgia is a hell of a good time. Constantly pushing the boundaries of electronic music, STS9 will help this festival to “Get Loud,” and make the “World Go Round (live).” TCHAMI — Martin Joseph Léonard Bresso (France) is a DJ/producer of Bass centered House music. He has an undeniable European flare causing his blazing fast rise to the top. Recently CRUSHING at Ultra 2019, Tchami is the future of the ever-changing sound of EDM. DOOM FLAMINGO — Take it from Matthew Wright, who saw them in Denver a earlier this year: “I have to fully admit that my preconceived notions of this Umphrey’s McGee side project were entirely wrong. Let’s set the record straight — this is NOT a side project. It’s a different band altogether. It is its own machine and a sexy one at that. It stands on its own. It’s got one (pink) foot planted deeply in the sexy sands of an 80’s beach while looking omnisciently into our present times.” UMPHREY’S MCGEE — A Progressive Rock band at its core, Umph has been rocking the festival jam scene for 20-plus years. Fans are encouraged to wear sunglasses and sunscreen to this FACE MELTING set and lush lighting landscapes. 15 15

I have to fully admit that my preconceived

notions of this Umphrey’s McGee side project were entirely wrong. Let’s set the record straight — this is NOT a side project. It’s a different band altogether. It is its own machine and a sexy one at that. It stands on its own. It’s got one (pink) foot planted deeply in the sexy sands of an 80’s beach while looking omnisciently into our present times. Imagine that Dennis Reynolds never peaked but instead the world remained in that moment together. Forever. That soundtrack would be performed by Doom Flamingo. Smooth and sexual with guitar licks as sharp and chiseled as Dolph Lundgren’s jaw. Wait, is that a young Dolph playing those licks?

Doom Flamingo is a sextet which is able to

fully penetrate all aural sensations at once. The sweet synth sounds tickle the ears so sweetly that you just may think John Oates’ mustache is caressing your lobes. At the same time you cannot help but realize its 2019 and this is here and now. The Doom is here to stay. And I CAN go for that.

Kanika Moore’s presence steals the air

from the room. I felt as if I was in a hot yoga studio with oxygen all but depleted. Good thing, too, because if any O2 were left it would be a catalyst to set the room on fire. Her theatrical

Matthew travels the world working for an airline and goes to shows wherever he lands. This show was in Denver, Colorado. Follow his adventures on Instagram @the.flyin.fotog and wright to him at matthew@showsigoto.com

performance will capture not only your breath but your eyes as well. Kanika Moore leaves you wanting more.

The DOOMed set intertwined originals

with covers. But the covers were done their own way. They played my heart strings as precisely as they played their notes. They pulled me “Closer” as they covered Nine Inch Nails. Then left me deserted on a beach wishing I had never fallen in love as they played their “Wicked Game.” ... just me on the beach with a pink lawn flamingo, please?

The Roots of Rock room on the second floor of the restaurant. While you’re up there, peep the ceiling of the Woodstock Room!

DID YOU KNOW? The chandelier is made of Saxophones!

DID YOU KNOW? That’s Bob Dylan’s 1990 Harley Davidson It’s a Softail Custom and sits atop the bar.

DID YOU KNOW? The stage at Hard Rock Live is raised by a giant hydraulic lift system.

It can easily handle the weight of a car or two.

HIDDEN GEM — There is a secret (now-not-so-secret) room in Hard Rock Live — The Lennon Room. When it’s open, you can take the elevator from the main floor up to the largest Beatles memorabilia collection of any Hard Rock on earth.

DID YOU KNOW? The best [purchasable] seats in the house for sound are upstairs. They are the best acoustically designed seats you can purchase. It’s the back row, center of the balcony (crazy, right?) You’ll also notice once you’re up there, aside from the best sound you’ve ever heard at Hard Rock, there is a bonus level of big comfy seats. These are the VIP-You-Can’t-Buy-Them seats, and those are truly the best seats for sound..

BEERS I GO TO INTERVIEW /// Avid Brew in St. Pete, FL by Randy Cook /// I sat down with one of my longtime friends, Jeff Keller, Owner of Avid Brew in St. Petersburg, FL. Jeff and I go way back as friends for over thirty years! RC: So tell me a little about how music plays into the themes and atmosphere at your brewery? JK: Our tasting room has kind of a dark atmosphere, in fact I have a black dripping blood heart that hangs on the wall. It goes with my love of crunchy heavy riffs like from Tool or “Zombie Eaters” from Faith No More. To me, heavy metal and beer go hand in hand. But it is not like back in the day where every day was a big party, now I am more of a connoisseur of good riffs and solid stouts. RC: What was the first concert you went to? JK: Ozzy Osbourne with Queensrÿche opening at the Bayfront Center, 1986. RC: What was the last concert you went to? JK: [laughing] That YachtRock show at Jannus. Holy Tangent! RC: Do you remember taking me to my first ever Genitorturers concert? JK: Oh yea man for sure. That was the night down in Bradenton/ Sarasota when Gen [lead singer] was putting little tomatoes in her ***** on stage! RC: Yea in addition to other things … I remember from our friends in Disfigurehead (opening band) asked if we wanted to go party with the Genitorturers afterwards and I was thankful we didn’t because when I saw them at work the next day they both let Gen pierce their nipples! JK: No way! RC: What is something you want to share about Avid Brew that people can’t find on their own via Google or social media? (Hidden Gem) JK: A lot of people forget or don’t know that we also sell hydroponic products and that we are a retail supply store for home brewers. We also have classes for both home brewing and home gardening so we are a one stop shop for any and all of those needs. INTERVIEW

Mitch Foster, Founder, Shows I Go To (SIGT) — It’s been great to watch SuicideGirls.com grow as a brand and touring now (BlackheartBurlesque.com) where you’re able to get in fan’s faces and meet people. It’s such a cool idea. How did you come up with the idea of the “Blackheart Burlesque Tour”?

MISSY SUICIDE

SuicideGirls Founder

Missy, Founder, SuicideGirls (SG) — We did a burlesque tour from 2003-2007 and it was more punk rock, free form, and fun. It really embodied the punk rock spirit. It was amazing — the girls toured Australia and hit Reading & Leeds Festivals in England and opened for Guns N’ Roses and Courtney Love. It was a really fun time. In the years we took time off, the Burlesque world had really upped its game. We knew we had to do something more innovative than our whipped cream punk rock burlesque. SIGT: It’s so rad to start out doing something you really love and it might only be just for you and it grows into something beautiful. When you started SuicideGirls, what part of it was just for you?

SG: It was a leap of faith project. I created it because I wanted to be able to use it. I wanted to believe that the girls I knew were the most beautiful girls in the world and that other people would appreciate them if I put them out there. It was entirely for me at first. I thought it would be popular in Portland, maybe Seattle. People agree that girls with piercings and tattoos and have unique outlooks on life that don’t want to “fit in,” and girls who are uniquely beautiful are appreciated and there IS an audience for them. People really connected with our community. They needed a place where they could be appreciated for themselves. People from all over the world had a common experience. SIGT: That’s beautiful. Starting something can be very lonely at first. You think that you’re alone then all of the sudden you start getting these surprises, where you find all these people, in your case around the world, where they do connect and they do feel the same things. SG: The best part of starting Suicide Girls and the Burlesque tour is being able to make a difference in people’s lives and to have it really mean something to people. SIGT: It can save lives, too! My little thing saved my life. And I’m sure some of the people you’ve connected with, maybe even yourself, it’s saved their lives. SG: Yeah! I have women from around the world that have emailed me and said they never felt beautiful until they saw a girl that looked similar to them on SuicideGirls.com. Yes, educational YouTube videos, TED Talks, inspirational IGTV posts and anything like them are great, and they should be exploited. But even in this hectic day and age, there’s still nothing like taking time out of your completely nuts schedule of touring, doing interviews, practicing, selling merchandise, and answering questions on social media to READ. After all, this is your career, and if you really want success, you have no choice but to be open-minded and educate yourself. Here are a few book titles that can get you started--

RON RON GRANT///@bald_black_bookworm GRANT///@bald_black_bookworm

3 BOOKS THAT WILL GET YOUR INDIE MUSIC CAREER GOING An indie artist has pretty much everything at their disposal these days to gain attention, get people listening to their music, and build a solid career. Social media has democratized music in a way like never before, where artists can put out small snippets of videos and songs, sell products, make beats, and even promote their own shows. YouTube has made it so that any artist of any genre and any agecan make and post video content of their own music. Even Twitch allows for artists to create a community around gaming and the things they love. So, truth be told, there aren’t any excuses for artists to not work hard making the music they love and building a career out of it.

The Indie Band Survival Guide by Randy Chertkow and Jason Feehan

But in the midst of using all of these tools, an artist needs a strategy. A plan of attack. A way of becoming noticed in a world where music, art and entertainment are so many more things than they used to be. Besides, the average consumer gets flooded with messages and advertisements about what entertainment they should spend their hard-earned moolah on. And, let’s face it — if you’re an indie artist trying to make it all by yourself, you don’t stand much of a chance against the entertainment behemoths that are both merging and popping up every day. So, what’s an independent artist like you to do? Well, for starters, you need to educate yourself. What better way to get started than by reading?

The Art of Asking by Amanda Palmer

Russian Circles – Blood Year

Without a word, Blood Year succeeds fantastically at being an evocatively visual listen; tidal waves, distant sirens, a forest fire… you pick the sounds as it plays, and enjoy the scene as it unfolds between your ears. Masters of the atmospheric chug, princes of cinematic doom, like tectonic plates or the risen dead, Russian Circles march on in the Blood Year. FFO — Pelican, This Will Destroy You, Mogwai

TOOL – Fear Inoculum

Perhaps the best praise this album can receive is that it made me get Tool more than I ever had previously. It’s incredibly well realized in an era where being enigmatic is so often a cop-out for quality. The album retains every thumping, post-industrial, psycho-mystic hallmark the esoteric outfit is known (and loved) for. For technical prowess and quality of art alone, the ten track opus amounts to essential listening for any fan of metal in 2019. FFO — Deftones, A Perfect Circle, The Mars Volta, TOOL

ALBUM REVIEWS

Ceremony – In the Spirit World Now Thirteen years post Violence Violence, genre-hopping punks Ceremony cut a very different shape; it’s smooth and hip, flamboyant and catchy, and despite piles of oblique pining by aging punks, it’s fucking good. This time they take us on a decidedly dancey jaunt (just over 30 minutes) through smart, bass-driven new wave, undercut with lyrical wit and clever pop-haunted synth. Spirit World is a statement which warrants listening – and that statement is that Ceremony isn’t an endpoint, but an evolution. FFO — Joy Division, Fugazi, & New Order

PERRY’S GOLD

Category / Title

BY PERRY GOLDMAN Reviewing Daniel Meron’s new album, ‘Embracing Wild’, comes as a pleasant surprise. Mitch had been in NYC and caught Dan and the band’s set at Mezzrow Jazz Club. The band made quite an impression on Mitch. After listening to this newly released album, they have on me as well. ‘Embracing Wild’ is intellectual, stimulating, and soothing all at once. I suspect for many of you S.I.G.T. readers, this CD will be somewhat of a departure from what you might typically gravitate to in your playlists. However, I am confident you will be very pleased to have discovered this wonderful endeavor by Meron and Company. You will likely hit replay over and over. danielmeron.com

Perry Goldman is a musician/ drummer/singer. Over 50 yrs performing Rock, Blues, Jazz, Swing, R&B even country. Studied at Philadelphia Music Academy and is a father to the frontman of Orlando punks, TEEN AGERS. 58

LOCAL

LOVE

Zap Dragon – Attacks At 4 songs and 14 minutes, local indie-crooners Zap Dragon cut a promising and catchy-as-hell appetizer of raucous garage-rock ditties with Attacks.

With this group’s obvious love of world music, they incorporate deep, infectious African and Latin rhythmic elements. What is at first very obvious in this collection of tracks is the high quality of the collective musicianship memorialized in this lush and successful collaboration. Each musician brings a clear intensity to the project that just works so well. Meron’s piano chops are stellar and there is a satisfying depth any Jazz enthusiast will enjoy. There is a complexity in the music that evokes the stylings of iconic Jazz pianists like McCoy Tyner and Jazz/Latin pianist/composer Chic Corea. Most noteworthy are the silky vocals of Keren-Or Tayar. Her beautiful voice tones soar above the instrumentation yet also integrate seamlessly within the arrangements. On “Darkness and Light,” Keren shares with us lyrics in Hebrew (a very cool surprise). Her airy melody, the time signature, and rhythm transport us to another time and place that’s both exotic and mysterious.

Sounding like equal parts Reinventing Axl Rose and The Mountain Goats, the album is fraught, but unvaryingly poppy. The hop from dreamy, almost folky “Make it Seem” to the gravel-throated “Coming or Going” is jarring, but it paints an appropriate portrait of a band who is best understood as a lark (or maybe not intended to be understood at all). Surfy undertones and nostalgic folkpunk hooks delivered straight from the early-aughts flesh out Zap’s character on the unapologetically brief, but lively EP. “Cannonball” feels every bit like careening through a cartoonishly cloudy sky, and “Lemon Flavored Water” is a strangely welcome, wonderfully psychedelic ballad which builds into something that just might make you swoon. At its best, Attacks is just plain fun, with an apparent focus on the experience over “art” which, frankly, describes the soul of music itself. At its worst, it doesn’t achieve much more than being a chaotically toe-tapping 15 minutes. If you like this — Against Me!, Woolly Bushmen, FIDLAR — you’ll like this. ARIES: This will be a very social and

romantic month for you, Aries. You will find that your social abilities increase in exciting ways, especially around the 7th. This is because the ruler of your horoscope, Mars, has his solstice during this time and it will highly impact you (in lovely ways!) Do keep in mind that you should take extra good care of yourself up until the 23rd. Consider detoxing! You have very exciting things ahead and your body needs to be in optimal condition. On the 13th, the Full Moon falls in your zodiac sign. This should be a great money day for you. Towards the end of the month you may find that you are super busy in your career. This will be a wonderful thing, as you are entering the beginning of your yearly career peak. Allow Scorpio season to keep you driven and motivated! Circle the 24th in your calendar as it should be a particularly good career day.

TAURUS : Health and career will go great

for you the first half of this month, Taurus. It is likely you’ve been working on improving your health routine. This has been causing you to excel at work and it feels great. This month, your love planet finally goes direct (it has been in retrograde for months!) This doesn’t necessarily mean you will find new love this month but it does mean you will gain clarity around what it is you want in a relationship and who you want to be in one. If you are already in a relationship, expect to gain new perspectives that will be very helpful in growing your partnership. On the 23rd, the Sun enters your 7th house which ignites your yearly social peak! This will be a fascinating social peak, as you are likely to find yourself forming entrepreneurial ideas with friends and perhaps even beginning a side hustle with someone you get along with. Go with it! The season of Scorpio is highly supportive of this. The 15th and 16th should be particularly great days for you this month.

AQUARIUS: This is a huge career month

for you, Aquarius. Many of your career houses move into powerful placements, advancing and enhancing your career endeavors. This month actually initiates a yearly career peak for you. Expect things to really kick off around the 8th. You should find that family and friends will be very supportive at this time, which is not always the case when you get consumed by work. This bodes well for you. After the 23rd, take time to focus on health and relationships. You may clash views with someone close to you, but this won’t last long if you take the time to slow down and

communicate with those around you.

PISCES: This month is a total glow up for

you, Pisces. Health has improved tremendously from last month and you are in the process of recreating yourself. Personal growth and transformation are big themes for you this month. Now is a great time to get into some new spiritual practices. Release what is no longer serving you! You know what it is. Focus on spending time and sharing joy with others and your finances will increase. Surprises are around the corner. The 12th and 13th will be particularly good days for money. Romance is also in your favor this month. The 28th and 29th are specifically good days for that! Go with the flow (like you’re ever so good at) and focus on yourself this month, Pisces. You will be rewarded for it.

GEMINI: This is meant to be a very fun

month for you, Gemini, but you must allow the fun. You are great at socializing and you are also a very hard worker, which is admirable. However, you may harm yourself and your relationships if you obsess too hard over work the beginning of this month. It is time to take a break from personal desires and indulge in the presence of others around you. This will have a great impact on your mental and physical health, but again, you must allow it to happen! From the 23rd onward, work will pick back up and you should find that you have many more creative ideas since taking a break to simply enjoy life for what it is right now. You are about to enter a yearly peak in love and work, so allow yourself to have some free time to enjoy this month.

CANCER: It’s time to put your day to day

work routine on hold this month, Cancer. This is necessary in re-creating the life you truly desire. Focus on family more than anything else this month. You will learn a lot from them and this will help personally excel you in the months and years to come. Instead of putting your head down and working in the days, get creative at night. Scorpio season particularly encourages this. After the 23rd, take time at night to visualize what it is you really want from life. Now is the time to get creative and re-create your life from a place of inspiration and true desire. The 30th and 31st should be particularly good career days for you.

LEO: It is time to shift from career focus to family focus

this month Leo, especially after the 23rd. Everything should become more personal this month (in a

good way!) You have had a great year in career and not much is going to change in that aspect the rest of this year. That is why now is the time to focus on family and self. Shift your focus from financial goals and set your focus on personal goals. Think about what you want for yourself and your family. Visualize it and take note of how you feel when you picture it in your mind. If you can work on manifesting these things, they should easily unfold in the beginning of next year. Your love planet is currently in retrograde so whether you are single or in a relationship, not much is happening. Don’t try to make any big decisions in love right now. Get extra rest on the 23rd, as the 22nd should be a very exciting, yet tiring day!

VIRGO: Your focus should be on

finances above all else this month, Virgo. There are many different avenues that can lead to extra income this month, but you must be focused and on the lookout. Expect money to come from unexpected places. The 11th through the 13th should be particularly good money days for you. Emotional wellness should also be a core focus for you this month. It is time to take a break from overworking yourself and really get back into a place of feeling centered and whole. Love is harmonious this month. Practice communication skills! Particularly in the workplace.

LIBRA: October is going to be one of

the greatest months of 2019 for you, Libra. You are currently in a personal yearly peak and things should feel really good. You will find your friends are more supportive than usual. This is a great month to splurge on yourself. A new relationship to finance will present itself to you and this is big! You are entering a whole new relationship with money. Mercury enters your money house on the 3rd of this month, initiating this enhanced relationship. Finances will be particularly great on the 21st through the 24th. Love will also be very good for you this month but it is important to remember that doesn’t always mean romantic relationships. You are a lover of many things in life, Libra. Allow love to come to you this month in numerous forms. It is important you do not go seeking it. Allow all good things to come to you these next few weeks.

SCORPIO: This is going to be a very

pleasant month for you, Scorpio. You will find that your self confidence is close to an all time high (it will get even higher next month!) and you find that

you are comfortable setting boundaries in your life. This month is a power move for you. Your finances look good for the month ahead and with Venus entering your sign, you will be glowing all month long. Your biggest theme this month is spirituality. You will find that you are thinking a lot more about career than usual this month and it is likely you will feel the calling to pursue a spiritual path. If you can understand that your current career is simply just to follow your spiritual path, you will create wonders for yourself this month. You love the witchiness of the season. The 19th and 20th should be particularly great days for you. Embrace it and live it.

SAGITTARIUS: This month is all about

friendship and personal growth, Sagittarius. Your main area of focus has to be on yourself and the friendships that help you grow. On the 3rd of this month, your spiritual house goes direct, leading you to have a big month of realizations and breakthroughs. But you need to tap into it! Focus on growing as a person and allowing your greatest friendships to hold you up during this time. If you allow yourself to dig deep and explore your emotions, your career and external world will follow along. Pay attention to your dreams this month! They will be highly intuitive. Pay super close attention to what you find yourself thinking about on the 2nd through the 4th. As far as finances go, don’t sweat it. They are improving even if it doesn’t feel like. You don’t have time to worry about those this month! Be smart with your money but focus on yourself.

CAPRICORN: Get ready for chaos but success,

Capricorn. You are in the midst of a yearly career peak which is fabulous, but you’re really going to be feeling the demands of work this month. This is something you actually live for, as you love to work for your status. Your close loved ones are likely to be very supportive at this time as they know your hard work pays off. Be sure to block off time to really take care of yourself this month. Maybe that means getting a massage or taking a nap, maybe it means going out to dinner with your partner or friends. Whatever lights you up! After the 23rd of the month, things will begin to shift and you will find yourself feeling much more social. Interestingly enough, you will attract a lot of spiritual people into your life this month. Listen to what they have to say, they have messages for you during this busy time!

ROXIE

11 ½ Years Old

Roxie was originally a PRBJ dog and adopted when she was a puppy. Nine years later, we got a call that she was turned into a high kill shelter. The owner had told the shelter to euthanize her and that she did not care. Thankfully, because of microchip technology, the shelter called us right away and we rushed to pick her up. Roxie would be great in a house with someone who is more mature in age so she can relax, take long naps, and watch tv. She walks well on a leash and takes it slow. If you are interested in Roxie to either foster or adopt please fill out an online application for this sweet senior girl at PetRescueByJudy.com

AMORA 3 ½ Years Old

Amora was surrendered with her 10 puppies. We feel Amora did not get the best start in life. For the past year and a half that Amora has been with us she has blossomed into a friendly and well-adjusted pup. She is fearful of men at first; it took her extra time to warm up with our male staff. Her pretty red coloring glistens when she is in the sunshine. Amora is here patiently waiting, but gets overlooked because she doesn’t seem to like other pets. If you’re seeking a lovable dog to protect and grow old with, please submit an application at PetRescueByJudy.com

CINNAMON 4 Years Old Since 1992, Pet Rescue By Judy, a non-profit 501(c)3 “NO KILL” organization, has been dedicated to Rescuing, R e h a b i l i t a t i o n , ResSocializing, and Rehoming companion animals. VISIT 401 South Laurel Ave, Sanford, FL 32771 CALL (407) 302-4497 PETRESCUEBYJUDY.COM

Cinnamon and her family of 4 babies were rescued from a kill shelter where they would have euthanized this healthy family. Cinnamon is definitely one of the staff favorites here at the facility. This gentle girl has a very calm, quiet demeanor and loves nothing more than to take naps and cuddles. Since her puppies have all been adopted, Cinnamon has been able to relax and let her sweet personality shine. She is crate trained and very well behaved. If you would like to take Cinnamon into your home and your heart, please submit an application!
