Hosted by a Champagne Ambassador, guests will taste a selection of the World’s most prestigious Champagnes. The Ambassador will discuss the unique characteristics of the Champagne region, share a brief history of each Maison and what makes each Champagne special. Celebrate with Chandon Moët & Chandon are a Champagne house who ask ‘what’s next’? G.H.Mumm Experience As far as Napoleon was concerned, the only way to celebrate conquests was with a glass of bubbles. The quickest way to open the Champagne was with a sword.

Hosted by a G.H.Mumm brand ambassador, this is a unique and interactive event that introduces your guests to the art of sabraging – using a knife or sword to open a bottle of Champagne. Guests will try G.H.Mumm macarons, G.H.Mumm Cordon Rouge NV, G.H.Mumm Brut Rose NV & G.H.Mumm Vintage. A few lucky guests will have the opportunity to show off their blade skills and sabre under the guidance of the expert ambassador.

Champagne Discovery While a Champagne house may release a handful of exceptional vintages every decade, it is their non-vintage expressions that define the house’s style and cements their reputation. Considerable time and effort are expended in ensuring the consistency of these wines; the non-vintage expressions form the basis of the house’s legacy and are usually the most accessible to the public. G.H.Mumm and Perrier-Jouët are two of the oldest and most prestigious Maison’s in the Champagne region, each with a distinct non-vintage style. WHISKY GIN Chivas Regal & Chocolate Matching In the early 19th century, Scotch whisky was a far cry from what it is today. Crude distilling techniques produced a rough and angry spirit. Many grocers of the time were able to use their skills as tea blenders to mix different whiskeys and create spirits that were far more palatable. Two such grocers were the Chivas brothers; the quality of their product reflected by the royal warrant they received in 1843.

Hosted by a Chivas Ambassador, this fun & informal tasting will give guests the opportunity to compare whiskeys from the Chivas range, complemented by matched chocolates to create a truly epicurean experience.

Four Pillars Range Tasting & Cocktail Batching Nowhere in the world is there as much unique plant life as in Australia. Acutely aware of this, the cunning distillers at Four Pillars take inspiration from the flora around them to create their superb Gin. Each of their spirits offers something different and enticing, perfectly showcasing the exotic native botanicals that grow around the distillery. The Four Pillars Gin Experience begins with a palate-cleansing G & T, before moving into a series of tastings where guests will be able to compare Gins from the Four Pillars range. Ben is an Australian Sommelier with over 20 years of industry experience. He has worked with restaurants in both service and consulting capacities. He has trained staff and helped construct wine lists across Sydney. He has amassed accreditation the Court of Master Sommeliers, WSET and has even earnt the coveted Lens Evans Tutorial. His talents and skills have been recognised not only by the industry but by his peers; Ben is a past president of Sommeliers Australia.

Hewitson Blending Masterclass Blending is a vital skill in the creation of world class wines. It allows for Bordeaux to have their characteristic roundness, balancing the size of Cabernet Sauvignon with the body of Petit Franc and Merlot. Closer to home, Hewitson has been amassing accolades; their exceptional Rhone style GSM one of several wines to land in Halliday’s top 100. In this experience, Ben will guide guests through the art of blending. Guests will create their own blend and compare it with an award winning example from the Hewitson winery.
