Trailblazer - July 2024

Page 1

Dear Whitetail Club Members,

We hope this letter finds you well and gearing up for a fantastic summer at Whitetail Club. It’s an exciting time as our team has the opportunity to welcome you back to the most vibrant of the Whitetail Club seasons. Along those lines, I very much appreciate the warm welcome as your new Club Director. I enjoyed meeting many of you at the Season Opening Member Mixer out at The Golf Grille and look forward to meeting more of you at one or more of the myriads of summer events.

The Fish & Swim Club renovations continue as we await the new furniture. What a remarkable space to relax - maybe catch a ballgame or have some fun in the pool, at the beach, or on Betsy's Pond. If you get hungry or thirsty, the Whitetail Burger Co. & Coffee Bar. team is there to ignite your taste buds and serve refreshing summer cocktails. Chef Tyler and the culinary team will be offering a themed menu (in addition to the regular menu) every weekend through July, so after you work up a sweat on the brand new outdoor tennis and pickleball courts, enjoy a fun dining experience at Whitetail Burger Co. & Coffee Bar.

Speaking of the fast-growing game of pickleball, we hope you enjoyed the clinic we hosted with our guest pros, Susannah Barr and Dominic Catalano. We are excited to see your families at The Fish & Swim Club for the Family Fishing Derby on July 2 and the 4th of July BBQ at Whitetail Club Park.

The Marina will be hopping this summer, with a fleet of six boats available for member rental, including two new pontoons (one with a Skydeck) and a new Malibu speedboat. Holly, our Member Services Manager, has assembled an eager group of Marina staff to handle your boats. The concierge team, led by Amanda, will be here to assist you with your boat rentals or anything you may need while here.

If golf is the game that excites you most these days, we welcome you back. Our new Head Golf Professional, Andrew, has put together a great operations team that is excited to serve you and your families. The July events calendar is full, with the inaugural Season-Long Member Match Play tournament first off the tee. The 9 & Dine event on Saturday, July 6, is sure to be a hit, and we look forward to the Ladies Member Guest event on July 10–12, as we have amped up the offering based on your feedback.

As someone who has been around the game of golf for a long time, I know firsthand the many reasons to love it – the history/tradition, the opportunity to spend time in nature, and the challenge of the game. But one of golf's sometimes forgotten-about treasures is the camaraderie that it brings. With this in mind, we have provided some Whitetail Club Golf Course standards for which we appreciate your cooperation.

For those of you who own a private golf cart, please take the opportunity to partner up when possible, and thank you in advance for signing our Private Golf Cart Agreement, as well as your continued cooperation throughout the summer months. Adam, Nick, and their team have put a massive amount of effort into providing a remarkable playing experience with the goal of pristine course conditions. Those who prefer to walk the course will notice clear-cut walking paths coming off greens and tee boxes. Additionally, the team will push the morning dew aside when mowing isn't on the daily task list, making for a pleasurable walk in the park. Thank you in advance for playing your part in alleviating the wear and tear on our beautifully manicured golf course.

Your safety and that of your family are always at the forefront at Whitetail Club. Please adhere to the speed limit (max of 20 mph) while traveling within our community and spread the good word with your family and any guests you may have staying with you. Speaking of guest privileges, we would ask that you review the Membership Plan and Rules & Regulations as we move into the summer season, and please reach out with any questions or to register your guests. It may be a good time to refresh yourself with the General Club Rules as well, in particular the pet policy as outlined in the Rules & Regulations.

I'm elated to be a part of the Whitetail Club team, this community, and the McCall, ID community. If you ever have any questions or feedback, please feel free to drop me a line. My door is always open, and our commitment to excellence and continuous improvement will remain at the forefront as we aim to deliver the best club experience imaginable.

It's summer. It's Whitetail Club. Let's go.

Best Regards,

07.20-07.21 | 8:30am | $140*(2-Player Team) | rsvp 07.08 | 208.630.0211

Outdoor Courts are Now Open!

Ready for Action

This summer, we will be adding a total of (6) new outdoor courts to our community!

The pickleball craze is here to stay and we took notice! That's why, (5) out of the (6), will be pickleball courts! With this change, our members will be able to enjoy even more play and hone in on their skills. This will come in handy as we prepare for our August Pickleball Tournament!

The remaining court will be solely for tennis. It'll serve as another outlet for our tennis connoisseurs to improve their swing while staying active this summer!

Court Reservations

Our existing Court Reservations found in the Member Portal and app will soon feature these new outdoor courts as options to reserve.

An email will be sent to notify you once they are live and available!

Who Can Join?

This trip is an excellent opportunity for beginners. The only requirement for participants is to weigh 75 pounds or more due to life jacket requirements. Safety training will be conducted before the expedition. The rapids are weather-dependent, but they will be monitored. The rapids are expected to be Class III, providing an exciting yet manageable experience and an excellent opportunity to navigate splashy waters.

What to Pack:

Whether it's your first time or you are an experienced rafter, here's a recommended list of essential items to bring:

Pack quick-dry clothing such as moisture -wicking shirts and shorts and a swimsuit that can be worn under clothes or alone. Bring sturdy river shoes like Chaco, Teva, Keen, or old tennis shoes you don't mind discarding after the trip.

CLOTHING

ACCESSORIES

Sunglasses with straps, a bandana, insect repellent, small towels, a water bottle, and toiletries will keep you comfortable. Don't forget a hat, necessary medications, large Ziploc bags for wet gear, sunscreen, lip balm, and moisturizer.

Our day will begin bright and early as the shuttle will depart from the clubhouse at 7:45am. Relax and enjoy a convenient to-go breakfast the Whitetail Club culinary team provides as we head to the outfitter's loading zone in Riggins.

Return 6:30pm:

During the excursion, savor a delightful riverside lunch provided by Drift West Outdoors, complete with scenic views of the Salmon River.

After a day of exhilarating rafting, the shuttle will depart Riggins around 5:30pm and aim to return to the clubhouse by 6:30pm, giving you ample time to unwind and reflect on the day's adventures.

Tee Time

Greetings Whitetail Club Members,

July has arrived, and the golf season at Whitetail Club is in full swing! The course continues to showcase its pristine conditions, offering an exceptional playing experience for all our members. Your enthusiasm and participation have made this summer truly memorable so far.

We're thrilled about the upcoming events this month. First, mark your calendars for our 9 & Dine event on July 6. This casual evening combines golf and dining, providing a perfect opportunity to socialize with fellow members in a relaxed setting.

We also eagerly anticipate two of our most popular tournaments: the Ladies Member Guest and the Member/Member Tournament. These competitions are the highlights of our July golfing calendar, fostering connection and friendly rivalry. If you haven't already, be sure to register soon via The Golf Shop as spots are filling up quickly. RSVP by calling 208.630.0211 or send me an email!

The Season Long Member Match Play Tournament is well underway, and we're seeing some fantastic golf being played. For those participating, keep up the great competition!

As always, our team is committed to ensuring your golfing experience at Whitetail Club remains second to none. We appreciate your continued support and look forward to seeing you out on the course.

Thank you for making Whitetail Club such a special place.

Here's to another month of great golf and lasting memories.

Sincerely,

Dear Whitetail Club Members,

The 2024 summer season is off and running. The golf course continues to improve from winter damage and the hard work of our staff. We have a great team this year and are excited for the season.

We’ve been over-seeding the vole-damaged areas with a sand, fine mulch, and seed mixture. Golfers, please avoid driving in those areas when possible. It will help those fragile areas recover more quickly.

We have been lightly top-dressing greens every other Monday. This helps control thatch and makes for a firmer and smoother putting surface. As we prepare for tournament season, this schedule will change around tournaments.

Lastly, effective June 25, the peak season is upon us. We have moved to 8am starting tee times, which we will carry through the summer. We look forward to seeing you all on the golf course this season and appreciate your help and support with course etiquette.

Sincerely,

THIS MONTH

LEGACY RANCH HOMESITES

Last month, we were thrilled to officially introduce Legacy Ranch!

Today, we're pleased to highlight two out of our thirty-six Legacy Ranch homesites uniquely poised to reflect the estate home you've dreamed of.

As mentioned, fourteen of these sites lie on Red Ridge with western-facing views. The lower hillside location nestles eight homesites into the sloping terrain, while the remaining fifteen sites are spread over the valley floor, offering wide open skies and towering granite neighbors.

For more information about Legacy Ranch, please scan the QR code. You can also contact our sales team today by calling 877.634.1725 or sending an email to realestate@whitetailclub.com.

Located in the southernmost section of Legacy Ranch, this spacious homesite is a mostly clear location with a grouping of mature Ponderosa Pine trees along the western edge. With broad open-sight lines, there really isn't a bad view from this site.

To the east lies Red Ridge, providing an enveloping slope where your morning sunrise breaks. Occasional outcrops of granite boulders add to this site's natural beauty. A perfect setting to build the family home you've been thinking of.

This diamond-shaped lot holds more treasures than just its form. This ridgetop homesite may have one of Phase 3's premiere views.

Idaho's famed Seven Devil's Mountain Range sits due west of this location, providing a view for the ages. This relatively flat site, with over 5.07 acres, offers buyers the ability to build multiple home types surrounded by ancient native pines. In the northern corner of this homesite lies the single-track, 10-kilometer mountain bike trail that runs throughout Whitetail Club, making it the perfect site for fitness enthusiasts.
