Whitetail Club Members,
Hard to believe it’s July! The Club is bursting with activity this month with a plethora of golf and social events for your family’s enjoyment. See pages 11-12 for more details on upcoming experiences as well as the wide array of complimentary clinics available to you. Ladies, we still have space in this year’s Kentucky Derby themed Member Guest from July 9 – 11, so grab a partner and join us on the course! The event is open to all ability levels.
On that note, our golf professionals recently introduced Golf Genius as another convenient online tool for tournament registration. If you have any issues utilizing the new platform, please see Andrew or Jeran. We’ve also recently updated our waiver process for rental equipment – Yes, you no longer have to fill out the paper for every paddleboard rental! Now, through our Member Portal, waivers have become a digital once/year process! Boat rentals will still require an in-person signature, for now…contact the Club Concierge for more details.
Adam and his team are delivering our mountain bike trails ahead of schedule! The Lupine, Hollow, and Lower-Traverse are all re-opened after last year’s closure for phase 3 construction. The team is now actively working on reestablishing Adam’s Decent – we anticipate having all trails available for your enjoyment before the end of summer. See progress photos on the left.
Culinary experiences are now in full swing across the Club. We have a new event this year on July 29, Members Grilling Challenge – if you watched Chopped, Marcus has a special evening prepared at The Yurt. Whether you want to judge and enjoy your fellow Member’s cuisine or test your culinary skills, this will be a wonderful evening up on the ridge. The Whitetail Burger Co. theme nights are listed on page 9, and if you haven’t had the opportunity to enjoy a tableside steak carving at the Clubhouse – you may want to try it. We’ve also highlighted this experience on page 9.
We all know the hustle and bustle this time of year brings, so please help us maintain a safe atmosphere for all to enjoy. Please obey our speed limits of 20mph throughout the Club and yield at all crossings. Smoky The Bear is also becoming more active around trash days so please ensure trash is secured in your bin and locked. Our Member Service Team will assist you in replacing the bins from off the street on Tuesdays. Family and friends will be visiting this time of year, and we kindly ask that we place the extra vehicles in the garage and/or in our designated lots to keep our streets and driveways clear for access.

The thing about McCall and Whitetail Club is that when you know, you know. Lucky for us, we know how special our corner of the world is. The natural wonders that surround us provide a playground of adventures just waiting to be experienced. Our calendar of events is packed with opportunities to connect with all McCall has to offer; don't miss out.
Last month, members experienced a Jet Boat Fishing Tour, navigating through one of the most scenic and best places to fish year-round in Idaho, Hells Canyon's Snake River. Our captain guided us to various fishing holes for the chance to catch rainbow trout, smallmouth bass, and one of the largest prehistoric freshwater fish in North America, the white sturgeon.
On July 15, we host Trout Unlimited for a hands-on workshop to deepen our knowledge of cold-water conservation and enhance our fishing skills. Participants will engage in interactive sessions guided by knowledgeable instructors to practice skills like fly tying and casting.

This seminar series is not just about fishing; it's about fostering a community dedicated to conserving our cold-water resources. The workshop will take place at Whitetail Park from 9am to 3pm, and lunch will be provided.
Then, on July 17, we head out to Riggins for adrenaline-pumping Whitewater Rafting excitement as we navigate through Class III and IV rapids over 20 miles, guided by our experienced instructors. Open to all skill levels and limited spots available, secure your spot, learn what gear to pack, and all the fun that awaits. This exclusive event is with limited spots available!
Toward the end of the summer, we head out for an unforgettable evening trail ride and BBQ at Ya-Hoo Corrals for our Horseback Ride & BBQ experience on September 5! We'll arrive at our local outport to greet out horses before embarking. The corral offers flexible ride options and knowledgeable and friendly guides that will lead us on a scenic ride through various terrains perfectly tailored to suit all abilities. After the ride, gather around the campfire for a delicious BBQ buffet featuring mouthwatering chicken, juicy steak, fresh fruit, salad, and much more.
The final warm weather excursion is a return from our 2024 adventure series, the Fall Canoe Ride, on September 20. In partnership with Driftwest, we will take a guided scenic canoe adventure along the North Fork of the Payette River. This afternoon is spent on the river, giving ample opportunities to spot local wildlife such as eagles, ospreys, deer, and elk and spot all the colors of fall. We will stop mid-journey for a glass of wine and small bites. This is what life in McCall is all about; don't miss out!

The tournament consists of two-player teams on 36 holes (18 per day), played over two days and open exclusively to members. Two-person teams will consist of two Men or two Women, as there will be respective divisions/flights for both Men and Women. Handicaps will apply.
Both days of competition will include a buffet-style lunch after play, served at The Golf Grille. The awards ceremony will be held on the patio, followed by lunch on the second day.
Prizes and awards will be given to the overall winners, both gross and net, as well as the net winners for each flight. Individuals are encouraged to sign up, as the Golf Team will pair them with

It’s all about the grill this summer at Whitetail Club. From special theme menu on select weekends at Whitetail Burger Co., to the first Members Grilling Challenge in July, to tableside activations at the clubhouse, there is a lot to get fired up about.

The sizzling showdown takes place on July 29 at the Yurt for the first Members' Grilling Challenge! This unique event invites you to sign up as a competitor, judge, or spectators – and unite for a day of mouthwatering flavors and friendly competition. Grill masters will showcase their skills as they fire up the barbecue, vying for the title of the ultimate grilling champion.
Four teams of two will compete as grill masters to showcase their skills. Then a lucky twelve spectators/judges, we'll have the opportunity to sample a variety of delicious grilled dishes, from juicy steaks to mouthwatering veggies.
The winning team takes home a prize and gains bragging rights for the year! Whether you're here to compete or enjoy the feast, it's a day you won't want to miss. Join us for an unforgettable celebration of grilling and community spirit.

Summer Concert with
On the final evening of our Men’s Invitational, we celebrate – in true Whitetail Club style – at our summer concert under the night sky as country-artist Niko Moon takes the stage. Moon’s chart-topping blend of country and pop melodies have been bringing a feel-good positive vibes message to all that listen since his first single “Good Time” went #1 on country radio.
Beyond singing, Moon has written eight #1 songs and over 40 major record label cuts for artists such as Morgan Wallen, Avicii, Dierks Bentley, Pitbull, Zac Brown Band, Rascal Flatts and more. He also co-produced the Zac Brown Band albums, Jekyll+Hyde and Welcome Home, and was recently named a SESAC country songwriter of the year.
