CLUB DIRECTOR’S LETTER

Dear Whitetail Club Members, We are overjoyed to welcome you back to the summer season here at Whitetail Club. For me, this time of year is one of my favorites – catching up with returning teammates and showcasing ‘WHY’ Whitetail Club is so special to our new ones reminds me that hospitality isn’t just a job, but a lifestyle we get to share with you. The continuous training is well underway across the property, and we are eager to showcase the little details we have been working on all winter.

One of which connects us with our roots. Whitetail Burger Company was established in 2019. Over the years, the menu has evolved to the point that last season we were offering only one burger option. That said, we connected this off-season on what, why, and how we would like this space to evolve and landed on a reimagined brand of Fish & Swim Club. Per Chef Marcus, “it starts with the menu, we are retailoring our offerings for flexibility while curating our personal, high-quality touchpoints on club classics and fresh, local favorites. The expanded menu at Fish & Swim Club, the specialty offerings like Southern Fried Sundays, and converting all our fryers to Beef Tallow are details we know you’ll enjoy.” This season, Fish & Swim Club will operate seven days per week from May 22nd to September 7th from 11am – 9pm. Complete hours of operation are listed on page 10.

We touched on it last month, the million-dollar question: when does the course open? We’re close!

Andrew will touch on it on page 6 and clear the street for the ladies as we open registration for the Mardi Gras-inspired Ladies Member Guest. One detail around the course we want to mention are the range balls. This season, we’re introducing real Pro V1’s on the practice greens. The true ‘feel’ and touch around the greens is where it matters, and practice makes perfect. No, these aren’t for your bag, but rather to share with your guests as to ‘WHY’ Whitetail Club. Also, remember the rough river crossings on 4, 6 & 16? We built bridges. Finally – number 4 is hard…We’re removing the creek on the left green and reshaping the front for a player-friendly approach, while also giving you the choice of which green to play that day.

The trend continues with our lineup of new events and small twists to our Club favorites. We kick off the season with a community-inspired Memorial Day BBQ on May 24th and share our gratitude for choosing Whitetail Club on June 24th with the bi-annual Member Cocktail Party.

The unofficial start to the summer season begins this month, marked by the golf course opening on Memorial Day weekend. To add to the fun, we incorporated a new event, the Memorial Day BBQ hosted at the clubhouse, complete with a family-friendly buffet and lawn games.

This summer, annual favorites return and new events make their debut, including the summer Member Cocktail Party & Concert by Nashville-based country artist John Hollier & The Rêverie. Don’t miss out!

Tee Time Whitetail Club Members,

May is here, and we are getting close to the start of the season. This is always the point where things start to feel real again as we get ready to open the club.

We will open the golf course on May 22nd (weather dependent). Our Season Opening Tournament is slated for May 23rd with a 1pm shotgun start. The format will be a four-person scramble to help alleviate the winter rust on your games. Don’t have a group? We’ll pair you up.

As Max alluded to in his letter, we’ve had a very productive off-season and made several enhancements to our golf experience, but none of this is possible without our fantastic team. It is with the utmost excitement that we welcome back 1st Assistant Professional, Jeran Lofto, after spending his winter at The Quarry in La Quinta, and LPGA Professional, Patty Gordon. We also introduced an internship program and partnered with the Professional Golf Management Program at the University of Idaho, and have four aspiring PGA Professionals joining our team.

Ladies, this month is for you! Registration opens for the Mardi Gras inspired Ladies Member Guest on May 10th. Tournament dates are July 8th – 10th. We have a full calendar this season, with a great spread of new and traditional events as well as plenty of open play. Whether you like to compete or just get out with your group, there will be plenty of opportunities to stay involved.

Nick Korthals and his team have a wonderful start on the golf course, and it will continue to improve as we move into the latter part of the month. Despite the lack of winter, they have faced several challenges, and we appreciate everyone doing their part to keep our conditions as pure as possible, especially with our new shared cart policy. As always, adhere to signage and always use the 90-degree rule whenever possible.
