Director’s Note
Dear Whitetail Club Members, Happy New Year! We look forward to a fantastic 2024 and are excited about this year's events and programs. We're thrilled to announce an addition to the printed calendars. We've partnered with Master's ski coach, professional athlete Barbara Kreisle, and former US National Biathlon Team Cory Corbet to offer two halfday skate ski clinics. The first clinic on February 3rd is for the ladies only, while the second on Feb 10th is open to all Members. These Member-Only clinics are designed to make you a more efficient skier for where you are in your own practice, all while keeping your respective styles in mind. Please note that these clinics are not for newbies, or as Cory & Barb affectionally call those fresh to the sport, the 'never-Evers.' Basic skate ski experience is requested. But don't fret; if you fall into this category, we look forward to arranging one-on-one lessons with Cory or Barb to ensure your introduction to Skate Skiing is positive and encouraging. Thank you to all who stopped by our first-ever Whitetail Club Winter Retail Pop-Up. The response from the membership was better than anticipated, and because of this, we plan to incorporate this retail opportunity into our winter offering moving forward. Thank you again to those who shopped with us. The membership department remained busy through the end of the year, welcoming Diane Thomason and Chris Morrison to the Whitetail Club family this past month. Thank you to the entire membership, long-tenured or new, for your continued support and participation. It's nothing short of amazing to see our Whitetail Club community continue to grow and thrive. Please note that due to the city's decision to move Winter Carnival dates to the last weekend of February, we have followed suit and moved our annual Winter Signature event to Saturday, February 24th. As featured in this issue of the Trailblazer, we'll be hosting a thrilling Masquerade-themed Murder Mystery dinner party. We look forward to seeing you there. Unlike in years past, winter has yet to really show up in McCall. I urge everyone to collectively get your snow dance 'on' and stay tuned to your regularly scheduled club communications for updates on when we'll safely be able to open our winter amenities.
Thank you again for a fantastic year. Happy New Year to you and your families. Sincerely,
Jocelyn Kidd, CCM Club Director | 208.630.0216
