LAST CALL WINTER FOR

Tom, myself, and the entire Whitetail Club team are incredibly thrilled to announce to the membership that we have secured our new Head Golf Professional. Phil Goodson, PGA, an Idaho native, has been in the golf and hospitality industry his entire professional career, and we have no doubt he has the skillset as well as the personality to take the Whitetail Club golf experience to the next level. We’ll give Phil time to get his feet underneath him but stay tuned to future club communications for a more formal introduction. We’re confident you’ll enjoy getting to know Phil as much as we have!
This past month, we welcomed new members, Jared & Andrea Wheeler, to the Whitetail Club family. A sincere thank you to you both for choosing Whitetail Club, and we look forward to seeing you and your family around.
For the men interested in participating in the 2023 Men’s Invitational, keep an eye out in your inboxes in early March for an email outlining how the lottery/ field selection will be determined. For a general timeline, refer to the Take Note section of this edition
of the Trailblazer. This also might be a good time to look at your directory listing in the Member Portal to ensure your contact information is correct. Contact the Club Concierge team for assistance if any revisions need to be made.
The Cove Spa will be closed for renovations starting March 20 until April 19, 2023. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause but look forward to showcasing a few exciting upgrades, including additional treatment rooms and an improved locker room experience.
Spring is on the horizon, but luckily for us, our most recent forecast shows that winter plans to stay – at least for a little while. Taking advantage of the lingering snow, we’re bidding farewell to winter with these action-packed, family-friendly winter activities.
WITH MOTHER NATURE ON OUR SIDE, INDULGE IN OUR LAST CALL FOR WINTER. WHETHER YOU’RE SEEKING DOWNHILL THRILL ADVENTURES, A SOOTHING SOAK, OR A CROSS-COUNTRY CRUISE, WE’VE OUTLINED THREE ACTIVITIES THAT THE WHOLE FAMILY CAN ENJOY, EVEN WITH THE WELCOME OF A NEW SEASON ON THE HORIZON.
Due to McCall’s high altitude, avid ski enthusiasts don’t have to bid goodbye to Brundage Mountain on the first day of spring, as snow can fall through March and into April. Typically open during the first months of the season (weather permitting), skiers and snowboarders can chase downhill thrills at one of their 68 trails. Or join one of their famed events, including their Night Tubing Sessions, Bear’s Den Snowcat Dinner, or Beer Relay & Crazy Costume Contest! For more information on Brundage Mountain’s calendar of events, please visit https://brundage.com.
Soak your troubles away with one of the hundreds of natural hot springs throughout Idaho! With temperatures reaching 110°F, the Gold Fork Hot Springs is less than an hour’s drive from McCall. Offering six crystal clear pools, including one with a sand bottom with shallow water – perfect for the kids – take a dip or slash around for a soothing afternoon.
Enjoy a crisp afternoon while overlooking beautiful snow-covered terrain without leaving Whitetail Club! Suitable for nearly every skill level, explore 20 kilometers of private groomed trails throughout our property on our Nordic Skiing Trails. With all necessary equipment available at The Trailhead, contact a Member Services team member to get you fitted and off to find your next snowy adventure.
Launching in April
As Whitetail Club continues to grow, so has the number of members who have joined our community. With some members living on the property year-round and others only seasonally, it can be challenging to get to know everyone. A goal this year is to foster more connections.
Discover who else loves pickleball, meet new neighbors for cocktails at the clubhouse, or know your go-to person for a good book recommendation. You get the idea!
To kick this off, we developed a list of questions for those interested in sharing about themselves. All members have the same questions and must only answer those with an asterisk.
What are we doing with this intel?
Starting in April, we will feature a new Member Spotlight section on the Member Portal where the members, who choose to participate, will be showcased with their responses. The Trailblazer and weekly email will also include a monthly feature to share who’s been added to the Member Spotlight.
Stay tuned for an email in the coming weeks to get this kicked off! Don’t hesitate to contact the Club Concierge with questions. Here’s to making new connections!
“I like to play pickleball too!”
“Want to meet up for cocktails?”
“Let’s sign up for the cooking class together.”

This collection of 34 transitional-styled townhomes appeals to those seeking a balanced tempo amongst sweeping meadows, towering ponderosa pines, placid trout ponds, and 7,200 yards of one of Golfweek’s “Best Resort Courses in The Nation.”
Because your home reflects your distinctive way of life, The Fairways at Whitetail Club offers buyers two luxurious interior styles that captivate and provide unsurpassed elegance. From Mountain Rustic to Mountain Modern, your home will serve as an ideal complement to your style and the natural setting. We will share a new brochure later this month that takes you through the fixtures and finishes of what each interior design style promises. The high-quality selections will be the same, such as the Thermador appliances in the kitchen, but have slightly different applications, such as the stainless-steel finish in the Mountain Modern style and a covered paneling in the Mountain Rustic design.
The new brochure will outline the lighting packages, carpet, paint, flooring, mirrors, and everything in between, custom designed by our professional interior design team. While the decision for interior finishes is always customizable, we are confident that the selections will be well received.
Take a sneak peek at what The Fairways might bring you.
