Dear Whitetail Club Members,

To create an equally enjoyable club experience for the entire membership, this summer, we will be implementing a cap on how many guests a membership can bring to the club at one specific time without receiving prior approval from Club Management. Moving forward, we ask that you bring no more than three guests to the club facilities at one time.

However, as with most rules, there are exceptions. Examples of these exceptions would be reservations at a club restaurant, tee times approved by The Golf Shop, attending a club event that permits over three guests, or filling one of our rental boats for a day on the lake. But in general, when visiting the beaches, park, workout facility, reserving the courts, or enjoying the hot tubs or pools, please do not exceed three guests and, as always, sign in your guests when applicable. If you have any thoughts or questions regarding this new policy, don’t hesitate to contact a Team Member.

Our summer amenities are open for the season, including Whitetail Burger Co. & Coffee Bar, The Boathouse, the marina, the golf course, The Golf Shop, The Golf Grille, The Fish & Swim Club pool, and the Whitetail Park. For the first few weeks of June, the hours of operation for these amenities will be modified. Make sure to reference your weekly emails for these specific details.

The annual update and reprint of the member directory has been completed, and you’ll be receiving the inserts in the mail in the coming weeks. A reminder that just inserts are provided. Please keep and reuse your existing binders.

We know that lake life is an essential part of the Whitetail Club experience, and because of this, I’m excited to be able to communicate that we have added a second Malibu LSV surf boat and another pontoon to our existing fleet of boats that are available to the membership for reservation. Contact the Club Concierge today for information on available boat rentals.

The Concierge Department has transitioned into summer hours and will be staffed seven days a week through Labor Day weekend. The team looks forward to hearing from you.

Speaking of our team, you’ll see many familiar faces in the club restaurants, at the marina, and at the golf course, but we’re also proud to welcome many new members to the Whitetail Club Team.

Here are a few that I would like to highlight:

• Amanda Callahan has accepted the position as our lead Whitetail Club Concierge. Amanda has been with the company for six years, most recently as a Shore Lodge Reservations Department Member. Many of you have already had the opportunity to work with Amanda, and I can say without hesitation that she’s eager to meet you all.

• Abby Milburn, a recent graduate of Baylor University with an already impressive resume of relevant experience, will lead our marina team this season. Make sure to introduce yourself next time you find yourself on the docks.

• And last but not least, Alex Schwartz, who worked with us in 2018 and 2019 as a Member Services Attendant. After four years with the United States Air Force, he’ll return to assume a position with our Member Services Management Team.

The future has never looked so bright.

Catching Up...

With Tom Garcia

Dear Whitetail Club Members,

As the warm embrace of summer approaches, I’m thrilled to welcome the commencement of another remarkable season at our esteemed club. The summer season is a time of boundless opportunities, where cherished memories are forged, and new experiences await us. Our dedicated team has been working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure this year will be exceptional. With utmost gratitude and admiration, I extend my heartfelt appreciation to every member of our staff for their unwavering effort, drive, and commitment to making our community well-rounded and vibrant.

Many of the staff who have previously worked at Whitetail Club in the past will be returning once again. Through their genuine interactions with you, they have come to be true ambassadors of our establishment. Your kindness, warmth, and engaging conversations with our team create an environment where our staff feels truly welcomed. They share that enthusiasm with their industry colleagues from other clubs to join us at Whitetail Club For that, I cannot thank you enough. Your willingness to make each individual feel valued and special contributes immeasurably to the overall experience at Whitetail Club. Through your collective efforts, we have cultivated an atmosphere of camaraderie and inclusivity, making our club experience both fun and robust.

As we welcome back some returning seasonal employees, I’m excited to welcome two professionals joining our established team. With utmost delight, I welcome Phil Goodson, our new Head Golf Professional, and Gordon Douglas, our new Catering Manager. Phil Goodson comes to us with a wealth of knowledge and experience in golf. As our Head Golf Professional, he brings a fresh perspective

and a deep passion for the game that will ignite a new level of enthusiasm amongst our golfing community. We look forward to an elevated golfing experience where expert guidance and impeccable service merge to create unforgettable moments on our links.

With his extensive background in catering in Boise, Idaho, Gordon Douglas is poised to take on the role of Catering Manager. While he is stepping into big shoes, I am confident that Gordon will not only meet but exceed all expectations, leaving an indelible mark on our events, whether it’s weddings, corporate gatherings, or parties, it’ll be a true reflection of our commitment to excellence. I have no doubt that Phil and Gordan will make outstanding additions to our community.

In response to the soaring popularity of pickleball and tennis, I would like to share that construction will start in late June for two outdoor courts near The Fish & Swim Club. One court will be dedicated to tennis, and the other designed for two pickleball courts. We are also going to replace the current park’s pickleball court and add an additional one. These enhancements will not only provide our members with fun-filled opportunities for friendly competition and leisurely pursuits but will also take advantage of the stunning nature that surrounds us. Due to contractor availability, we anticipate courts to be ready by mid-August.

With so much underway, I eagerly look forward to welcoming you all back for the 2023 season.

Sincerely,

4.

We are off and running! It’s a pleasure to have our beloved golf course open for the season. The agronomy and maintenance team applied a full-court press to tackle the remnants of an abundant winter. As perfectionists, the team is focused on the tasks at hand to get the course to the conditions we all love to showcase. The work they have accomplished thus far has been nothing short of fantastic. They deserve a “tip of the hat” from us all!

For June, we will have our classic series of clinics start, as well as some specific golf groups that will both occur weekly throughout the season:

• Crew Games every Saturday starting June 10 at 9am

• Sandy Beaches every Saturday starting June 10 at 10am

• Jr. Clinic* every Thursday and Friday starting June 22 at 10am

• Ladies Clinic* every Thursday starting June 22 at 11am

• Men’s Clinic* every Friday starting June 23 at 4pm

• Couple’s Golf * every Sunday starting June 25 at 11am

*Reservations requested.

New this year, we would like to invite our Social Sport Members to try out a clinic or two. This will be based on availability only. The member must contact The Golf Shop the day before the clinic. We will do our best to accommodate. If a spot is available, we would love to share our top-notch golf instruction offerings.

It would not be June in McCall without the RJS Invitational Golf Tournament. The momentum and trajectory of this event and its philanthropic history is a cornerstone to the community of McCall. We are honored the foundation has included Whitetail Club to host for what will indeed be another record-breaking year of fundraising.

As we head into the golf season, I want to briefly remind you what is considered appropriate golf attire. For the gentleman, shirts with collars and sleeves, mock turtlenecks and slacks, or Bermuda shorts of midthigh length are considered appropriate attire. For the ladies, dresses, skirts/skorts, slacks, mid-length shorts, and sleeveless shirts are permitted if it has a collar. Shirts must have sleeves if there is no collar. No denim is allowed, and if you’re unsure what might be considered appropriate attire, don’t hesitate to reach out and ask.

Here’s to long summer days chocked full of greens in regulation!

Sincerely,
