Director’s Note Dear Whitetail Club Members,

Calling all pickleball players! There are still spots available to participate in Whitetail Club’s annual pickleball tournament, scheduled for Saturday, June 11th. All skill levels are welcome. Sign up as a team or single, and we’ll partner you up. Guests are welcome. We’ll celebrate all participants and our tournament winners that evening during our June Member Mixer. We’ll be making some improvements to the clubhouse dock over the first two weeks of June. The clubhouse dock and the lakefront access point (the Narnia Door) will be closed during this time. When going back and forth between Shore Lodge & the clubhouse during this time, you’ll need to use the gates located in between the Discovery Cottages. Let us know if we can provide any clarifications. The lakefront hot tubs should be available for use during this time. Should this change, we’ll update the membership accordingly. The golf course is open for the season. Adam, Nick, and the team have done a tremendous job getting the course ready for play, and Eugene, Patty, Kevin & Diana and the crew are looking forward to seeing you. With the course now open for play, a reminder that the golf course cart paths are now restricted for use only when golfing. For those looking to enjoy

a walk, run, stroll…etc., please make sure to stay on our paved trails. If we can provide a distinction between the two, don’t hesitate to reach out. The Whitetail Burger Co., Boathouse, and other summertime amenities are now open for the season. Please pay attention to the weekly eblasts and your monthly Trailblazers for updated days & hours of operation. You can also refer to the Whitetail Club app for quick and easy access to this information. We’re just a few weeks away from some of our favorite events of the season, including our Fishing Derby, annual 4th of July BBQ, 9 & Dine, and much more. Warm weather brings the ability to open the outdoor kitchen and have access to locally grown seasonal ingredients, making summer an exciting season for foodie experiences! With a bounty of self-proclaimed ‘foodies’ at Whitetail Club, we wanted to share where to experience great dining when you are not grilling at home. With the new and exciting menus created by Chef Marcus and the Whitetail Club culinary team, we are confident that the forecast ahead is predicted to be delicious.

The Clubhouse Restaurant

The Steaks Are High In June, we celebrate both Father’s Day and National Steakhouse Month! Two perfect reasons to try our new, limited offering at the clubhouse restaurant: a 32oz. Dry Aged Buffalo Tomahawk. Only available throughout the month of June, this impressive cut of meat is served with bacon-wrapped asparagus and butter-poached Maine mashed potatoes with three of our signature sauces. When you are ready for ‘seconds,’ spend an evening at The Narrows Steakhouse to experience a rich, buttery, and tender 32oz Bison Tomahawk Steak. These dishes are dad-approved and limited menu items for this month only.

The Fish & Swim Club is home to Whitetail Burger Co. & Coffee Bar, offering All-American favorites all day long. Tee Time

Dear Members, Our opening day for the 2022 season was Saturday, May 21st. Although the weather did not fully cooperate, we had 33 players brave the elements and enjoyed the opening day. The golf course is in excellent condition once again for the start of the year. Adam Lott, Golf Course Superintendent, and his team have done an amazing job after a tough month with challenging weather. We all thank the entire Turfgrass Team for their efforts. At the time of this writing, we have 68 players registered for the Season-Opening Tournament set to take place on Saturday, May 28th. This turnout would be the largest field to date. We are expecting a wonderful day! June is here, and we have all our weekly events on the schedule. Starting on Thursday, June 9th, at 11am, the Ladies Clinic will begin. This is a complimentary hourlong clinic devoted to all aspects of the game. Patty will once again be ready to help all that would like to participate. She does and has done a wonderful job with the group. Thursday and Fridays starting on June 9th, we will once again offer the Junior Golf Clinics from 10 to 11am. We will host a one-hour Men’s Clinic on Friday, June 10th, starting at 4pm on Friday afternoons. These clinics are complimentary, and I hope to see you take advantage of these offerings to learn more about your swing and improve your already stellar game.
