Happy 4th of July! It seemed to take a bit longer to get here this year, but summer has finally arrived in McCall… And it is spectacular! A few reminders; The Boathouse is open daily from 10am–5pm, seven days a week. When you find yourself in need of sunscreens, logo’d wear, or other summer must-haves, head to The Boathouse. Located next to the clubhouse and just up from the lakefront hot tubs, Levi and Max look forward to taking care of you. New this year, Whitetail Burger Co., located at The Fish & Swim Club, is now where you’ll want to head for your morning caffeine fix. Serving espresso and breakfast pastries, open at 7am, seven days a week. We are adding a third pontoon boat to our fleet of available boat rentals for you to take advantage of. We intend to have this new boat into rotation by early July. Stay tuned to upcoming weekly communications for reservation availability. Though July is packed full of events and programming for you and your family to take advantage of, I would like to highlight a few events that should, without a doubt, have made it to your personal calendar.

The Member Services team will accompany you on a moderate hike that will allow you to get your blood pumping for a bit but not too much that you won’t be able to enjoy the gorgeous scenery surrounding you. Pair that with a relaxing lunch and a glass of wine if you’d like; it’s an excellent way to spend the afternoon. Catching Up... With Tom Garcia
Dear Whitetail Club Members, Greetings! I hope you and your loved ones have been enjoying your summer by venturing into McCall’s great outdoors and joining us at one of our many member-only events. This summer season is particularly special at Whitetail Club as we have been able to hire what we needed to ensure the utmost quality of service. Since my arrival back in 2019, I am proud to say that we have exponentially grown our year-round staff by over 30%. And this year, many of our seasonal team members are in their second or third season with us, which allows for the familiarity of our operation and enhanced personalized service. This year, we have also experienced high growth in membership. It’s been an absolute pleasure getting to know what’s important to all of you and to see you develop lifelong relationships with each other. Your remarks, concerns, and questions have been insightful for our continued development. Please do not hesitate to connect with me at any time through email, text, phone, or in person. My door is always open. In addition, we have been working on some enhancements to our club amenities. We are expanding our clubhouse lakefront deck for mixed use of casual dining, hanging out after a fun day on the lake, or other activities. We have replaced the deck in front of our lakefront hot tubs and are adding walking pavers from the front of the club to the back decks for ease of mobility. We decided to upgrade our transportation fleet, to get you to and from your destinations in style. On our golf course, we are adding
a wooden bridge on number six to keep golfers off Whitetail Drive for safety and aesthetic reasons. Given the membership growth we are experiencing, I’d like to mention a few tips that will maximize your experience with us this summer, including: • Plan ahead as best you can – Make your dinner, pickleball, and golf course reservations ahead of time. Walk-ins are always welcomed, and our team will handle them to the best of their ability. • Cancellations – If you find that you won’t be able to make any reservations you made, please be sure to cancel them. It’s not a problem if your plans change, yet by letting us know ahead of time, we can offer your space to others. • Adherence to speed limits – Please drive under our posted speed limits of 20 mph. Safety is our first concern for you, your family, and friends. Unlike Top Gun, there is no need for speed. During the offseason, my entire team and I took the time to restructure our workflows with the goal of strengthening our services. We look forward to providing a remarkable summer season and seeing you out and about in our community. Best,

Tee Time Dear Members, Happy July! Finally, good weather!! What a challenging June weather-wise. The Golf Course is in excellent condition thanks to Adam, Nick, and the Turfgrass Team who are doing a wonderful job. Our opening day tournament on Saturday, May 28th initially had 68 players registered to play, but due to challenging weather, only 52 played. I want to thank all that played for sticking it out and not one group quit: amazing. Congratulations to all that played and to Heather & Larry McMahon and Staci & Jake Smith for shooting a net 60 to take the title in the Couples division. In the Men’s Division, Brian Donaldson, Whitey Baird, Marty Dougherty and Greg McMillan shot 59 to capture the men’s title. After the golf, we all met in the Golf Grille for the Member Mixer and awards. What a wonderful evening. Our weekly events started in June, and all have been well attended. As a reminder, the Junior Clinics are on Thursday and Friday at 10am, Ladies Clinic on Thursday at 11am with Patty, and the Men’s Clinic on Fridays at 4pm. All four sessions are one hour in length and complimentary. Each week we change the lesson topic. Please sign up in The Golf Shop. We look forward to your participation. Our weekly golf events have also started. Saturday’s Men’s Crew will tee off at 9am, and the Ladies’ Sandy Beached tees off at 10am. Sunday Couples Golf tees off at 11am. I hope to see you and look forward to you playing. Let me know if you have any questions. The July 4th weekend will be a busy one for us. Please make tee times in advance to secure the time of day you prefer to play. We also use this information to have members’ golf bags up from storage, so you do not have to wait once you arrive. Knowing who is playing in advance helps the staff prepare for the day.

We tee off at 2pm. After golf, we take the Juniors to The Fish & Swim Club for a burger and awards presentation. Also, that same day, from 11am to 3pm is our annual Demo Day. Vendors expect to be here with all their newest equipment: Callaway, Ping, PXG, Taylor Made, and Titleist. Test your old clubs against the latest equipment these fantastic companies offer. Remember, it is the arrow, not the Indian. New clubs always work better. The always-popular Whitetail Cup Member/Member tournament will be played on Saturday & Sunday, July 23rd 24th. Please contact The Golf Shop if you have a team and are not currently signed up to play. We do have some players signed up and looking for a partner. The Golf Shop will pair you if you need a partner. Let me know if you need any further information. Also, this same weekend Pedigo E-Bikes will be here for you to demo their bikes. We have had them out the last two years and the weekend has been very popular. Come out and try a new bike!! Our last golf event of the month is a favorite of the ladies’ events, Caddies & Cocktails on July 28th. We will tee off at 2pm, play twelve holes using three different formats, and have drinks & snacks after golf on the patio at The Cart Barn. Someone from the golf staff is in each group to help the team. Make your team or have The Golf Shop pair you.
