Director’s Note Happy New Year!

2020 is over, and new adventures are on the horizon! Though we can all agree that 2020 was a whirlwind, the Whitetail Club community has persevered, and here we are! We’ve got an eventful year ahead. Check your mailbox for the Whitetail Club 2021 Calendar of Events, where you can find all of the club’s hours of operation, program schedules, RSVP by dates, and information about our signature events. Though we will still be implementing all the necessary precautions of our We Care program, there are plenty of new things on the docket this year for you to enjoy. For one, our brand-new ice rink is complete! It will be located by The Fish & Swim Club, and it’ll be the hub for all skating activities all winter long. With that said, we’re kicking the year off with our Rally at the Rink event on January 16. Mark your calendars because this will be the perfect family event to welcome you to the club for the season. The Whitetail Club food truck will be serving a delicious winter menu. A hot chocolate station will be available to keep everyone warm and energized. The rink will be prepped and primed for everyone to enjoy. I look forward to seeing you all there.

An enthusiastic welcome to our newest members Paul & Lyn Attaway, Charles & Jessie Cale and Chris & Betsy Martin. I look forward to introducing you to the Whitetail Club family. As I type, we are busy updating the Whitetail Club Member Portal and app to reflect the 2021 hours of operation, calendar of events, and details about the coming year. Stay tuned to future communications for updates. Until then, please refer to this Trailblazer or the printed 2021 Calendar for the latest hours of operation. A reminder that The Fish & Swim Club is your hub for all outdoor activities during the winter season. Our team is busy maintaining the Nordic trails, skating rink, sledding hill, and snowshoe loops for your enjoyment. And complimentary equipment of all sizes is available for you and your family on a first-come-first-serve basis. Contact our concierge team with any questions. We look forward to having you and your family enjoy all the winter to-dos this season! Here’s to a great year! Warmly,

There is now a grooming report to the Whitetail Club Member Portal app. This will give all members a daily update of how much snow is on the ground, when the trails were last groomed, and a daily weather forecast, as well as notes about the trails. If you need assistance downloading the Whitetail Club app, please contact our concierge department.

A New Fr ntier

THE ADVENTURE CONTINUES AT WHITETAIL CLUB The unforeseen limitations of 2020 provided you with plenty of time to focus on what matters —your mental and physical well-being—and Whitetail Club is up for that challenge in 2021! With this as our ultimate resolve, we’ve devised an outline of seasonal activities for you to enjoy every month of the year. Get at it!

January - Nordic Ski Trails You don’t have to go far for a new-year adventure this January. More than 20 kilometers of groomed trails for every skill level can be found at Whitetail Club. What’s more, access to Nordic equipment, both classic and skate, can be found at The Fish & Swim Club. It’s easy to see why National Geographic named McCall one of the Best Secret Ski Towns of North America.

February - Skate Rink New to Whitetail Club this year, The Fish & Swim Club’s skating rink is the most sought after patch of ice in McCall. This cool new amenity will be home to spirited games of hockey and elegant twirls and spins alike. Be sure to sharpen your skate blades and get out on the ice this February. Skates for the whole family can be found in The Fish & Swim Club. Carry them over to the rink and tie them on before hitting the ice.

March - Snowshoes & Sleds From gentle slopes to downhill thrills to walking on pure powder, March is the time of the year to enjoy the last of the deep snow. What better way to do that than to meet at Whitetail Club’s private sledding hill for some old-school winter fun? Or exploring backcountry trails on a snowshoeing escapade? Snowshoes & sleds are available for you and your family at The Fish & Swim Club.

April - The Hot Tubs at The Fish & Swim Club A hot soak on an April day is one of the best pleasures of spring. After the winter activities melt away and the new season begins to bloom, the lingering cool weather calls for a 104º F degree soak at The Fish & Swim’s hot tub. Towels are provided, so all you have to do is show up and soak it all in.

May - Tennis & Pickleball Courts With the Courts Reservations module on the Whitetail Club Member Portal & App, reserving court time is easier than ever before. Meet friends for an exciting match on the indoor tennis court or join a pick-up pickleball game with family—No matter how you plan to enjoy the courts this year, be sure to make reservations, grab your racket and get out there!

June - The Golf Course Designed by Roger Packard and two-time U.S. Open winner Andy North, this scenic 18-hole, par-72 course comprises 7,200 yards. Including a driving range, putting greens, and chipping greens, the golf course at Whitetail Club has various practice environments for you to refine your game!

4.

July - Kayaks & Paddleboards & Boat Fleet Take on every thrill Payette Lake has to offer with the help of our extensive list of lake gear! From canoes, kayaks, paddleboards, and life-vests—you can find it all at The Boathouse. And if you’re looking to up your lake experience, check out Whitetail Club’s boat fleet and make arrangements for a motorized day on the water.

August - Whitetail Park Whitetail Club Park is the ideal spot for kids to climb, swing, and slide. Located next to The Fish & Swim Club, the smallest members can play and roam freely. Other amenities include horseshoes, lawn games, basketball, sand volleyball, pickleball, bocce ball, gazebos with picnic tables, frisbees, balls, equipment, and more.

September - The Yurt Sitting atop of Whitetail Club’s tallest ridge is The Yurt. Overlooking the valley below, this is where members can meet with friends and family at the end of summer, or any time of the year. Relax outside by the fire pit as you take in the sights or retreat indoors to the fireplace and spacious lounge area.

October - Mountain Bike Trails Whitetail Club has 10 miles of single-track mountain biking trails as part of its long list of incredible amenities. The lower traverse trail is ideal for beginners and those who adore rolling hills featuring open glades and forested patches. The Whitetail Chute, a downhill-only trail with rock rollovers, berms, and stellar drops, offers heart-racing excitement for the more thrill-inclined riders. And the other seven trails provide plenty of fun for everyone.

November - The Studio Located adjacent to the 9th green, our brand-new training facility takes your golf experience at Whitetail Club from a seasonal sport to a year-round craft. Courtesy of the TrackMan 4, you can play, train, or have simulated tournaments with fellow members on over fifty courses worldwide without ever having to leave Whitetail Club.

December - The Fitness Center Indoor and outdoor fitness fanatics alike will appreciate Whitetail Club’s dedicated workout space. On the upper floor, you can enjoy the top-of-the-line equipment needed to forge the best version of you—from state-of-the-art cardiovascular equipment to selectorized strength and free weights; this is the place to end 2021 on a powerful note.

Life is better on the edge of skates! Whitetail Club will also be hosting its first-ever Rally at the Rink! On Saturday, January 16th, you’re invited to sip, eat, and experience all the frozen fun on the ice with fellow winter-loving members. Enjoy a warm beverage from our hot chocolate station or a drink from our no-host bar, order some wintertime classics from the food truck’s winter menu, and carve your day away at the Ice Rink!

Whether you’re bringing your skates or borrowing some from The Fish & Swim Club, you’re going to want to tie them tight because our first-ever Rally at the Rink will be the perfect wintertime thrill!

The Apres Ski Experience

A day out on the slopes can take a lot out of you. And after all those downhill thrills, you’re deserving of an après ski experience that fits the Whitetail Club Member lifestyle and fits your skiing style as well. The lakefront clubhouse provides you and your guests with an exclusive ambiance and elevated dining & drink offerings that take your Apres Ski Experience to a higher elevation, no matter what kind of skier you are.

>> Powder Hounds Perpetually on the hunt for first tracks and deep snow, Powder Hounds are easily identifiable by their snow-encrusted smiles. This skier is usually an early riser and is determined to find the most low-key slopes. If you seek perfection on the slopes, head to the clubhouse and indulge in the decidedly tender and immaculately precise combination of the Duck Confit Carbonara paired with your favorite Pinot Noir. A proper meal for a proper skier is best followed by a Hot Toddie, curled up by the fire.

>> Old Schoolers Sporting straight skis and taking on the mountain with unbridled gusto, the Old Schoolers are as stoked today as they were when they first attempted the sport. This skier knows the runs like the back of their hand and believes gear doesn’t translate to skill or enjoyment. If this sounds like you then your Apres Ski Experience would fall in line with an unpretentious pairing: the 16 Oz. New York Steak Strip and your favorite whiskey or bourbon. This will be the second-best thing you do all day!

>> Snow Bunnies Looking good and skiing well are not mutually exclusive—this is the Snow Bunnies’ assertion. With a coordinated color palette and a knowledge of the best views with the best lighting, Snow Bunnies dominate the mountain! Although it’s hard to live up to the combination of an adrenaline rush paired with cute snow gear, the food and drink menus at the bar does the trick. Our bar menu is easy to pair with any cocktail and make a great starter before a moonlight night dip in the lakefront hot tubs.

The Clubhouse Restaurant Until 01.03 Open Daily | 8am –10pm From 01.04 – 05.27 Open Thur– Sun | 9am –9pm Please note: The clubhouse will extend hours of operation for long holiday weekends including: January 15–18, MLK Day Brunch 9am–2pm Bar Menu 2–5pm (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) Dinner 5–9pm (Friday, Saturday and Sunday)

T

HE NEW YEAR IS A GREAT TIME TO PLAN OUT ALL OF YOUR FUTURE ADVENTURES. And when you’re looking for possible travel destinations, we wouldn’t want you to overlook all of the “local” sites and sights right here in the gem state. Idaho is home to more natural attractions, outdoor recreation opportunities, and scenic landscapes than most states have combined. So, why not visit all the greatest neighboring spots you never even heard of? From breathtaking natural structures to secret scenic byways, here’s a list of four must-visit destinations for you to check off your travel-list this year. Hells Canyon Northwest Idaho | 80 miles away | 2 hr. drive > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > The deepest river gorge in North America at 7,993 feet. Here you can find scenic vistas that rival any on the continent, world-class whitewater rafting, spectacular mountain peaks, vast reaches of remote wilderness for hiking or horseback riding, diverse and abundant wildlife, artifacts from prehistoric tribes, and rustic remains of early miners and settlers.

Bruneau Dunes State Park > > > > > > > > > > > > Southwest Idaho | 180 miles away | 4 hr. drive The tallest single-structured sand dune in North America rises to 470 feet high above small lakes in the high desert south of Mountain Home. The state park includes a desert, dune, prairie, lake and marsh habitat with opportunities to observe nocturnal species.

City of Rocks National Reserve > > > > > > > > > Idaho/Utah Border | 320 miles away | 6 hr. drive Here you’ll find inspirational scenery, exceptional opportunities for geologic study, and remnants of the Old West awaiting your discovery. City of Rocks is widely known for its excellent rock climbing and rock formations. The breathtaking variety of textures, colors, and shapes in this natural landscape contributes to the reserve’s scenic quality and its must-visit appeal.

Craters of the Moon National Preserve > > > > > > Southcentral Idaho | 290 miles away | 6 hr. drive This monument preserves around 53,500 acres of volcanic formations and lava flows on the northern rim of the Snake River Plain in southcentral Idaho. Real Estate

While 2020 presented many challenges to all of us, one area that saw exceptional growth was Real Estate. Our incredible lifestyle offering, paired with our new residential products and naturally secluded surroundings, drew record-setting interest for our community. To fulfill the ongoing demand, we have been hard at work perfecting The Fairways homes, the Design-Build Collection, and the homesites at Whitetail Club. 2020 marked the year that the Shore Lodge Cottages sold out, and with that, the attention and demand for turn-key properties has shifted to The Fairways. With golf’s resurgence in 2020, the interest in these golf course homes could not be hotter. If you know

someone who has always dreamt of living on a championship course, be sure to refer them our way. The Design-Build Collection has elevated our custom home building offerings, and the promise of a more painless building process has resonated with many prospective buyers. To account for the consistent market demand in 2021, we will be preparing several homesites for ideal showing and building considerations. We’re happy to see the continued growth and interest in Whitetail Club. The world is discovering the secret that we already know. Thanks for being a part of it.
