Season’s Greetings Whitetail Club Members,

The annual holiday events are on the calendar for later this month, a friendly reminder to get your RSVPs in now. Get ready for some festive fun! Breakfast with Santa is December 11th at Shore Lodge, our first-ever Ugly Sweater-themed mixer is December 18th, Gingerbread House decorating is on the 23rd, we’re sledding on the 27th, skating on the 29th, and on the 31st, we’re ringing in the New Year like it’s 1989. Plenty is going on for the whole family to enjoy. Refer to the On Deck section for details, and when in doubt, contact the Club Concierge for information. We welcomed three new families this past month. Thank you to the Bianchi, Thorsen & Hawthorne/ Whitaker families for choosing Whitetail Club. As you plan your time at Whitetail Club over these next few weeks, don’t forget to get your dining reservations made. Whitetail Burger Co. and clubhouse restaurant will be open 7 days a week from December 17th through January 2nd. A few reminders, the only F&B offering at Whitetail Burger Co. on Saturday, December 18th, will be the member mixer, and both restaurants are closed on December 25th. New this year, all winter equipment, including Nordic skis, skate skis, ice skates, and snowshoes, will now be stored in our new Trailhead building located at the far end of The Fish & Swim Club parking lot. The Trailhead building is also the location where you’ll check out mountain bikes in the spring, summer & fall. The process will still be the same. The use of the equipment is complimentary and available to you on a first-come, first-serve basis. We will still require that you sign out (and back in) the equipment with each daily use and a friendly

reminder that this equipment is for use on Whitetail Club property only. Stay tuned to the weekly eblasts for an update on when we’ll be opening our winter amenities. Come on, mother nature! Let it snow! A huge ‘thank you’ to all the families that participated in Whitetail Club’s food drive! Our community really came together with generous donations and it made all the difference! Please note, beginning this upcoming January, monthly Club & POA statements will be sent to you via email only. We will no longer be sending statements via USPS. We will include a letter in your December statements going out this week with more detail. Should you have any questions in the meantime, don’t hesitate to reach out. As November comes to a close, I’m thrilled to confirm that we have welcomed 50 new families to Whitetail Club so far this year. It is so special to see our community growing. Our annual traditions make holiday times feel extra special. On December 11, book your seat at the Breakfast with Santa event at Shore Lodge and enjoy a kid-friendly brunch and a meet and greet with Kris Kringle himself. The following week, on December 18, is our first Ugly Sweater Party at The Fish & Swim Club. This holiday version of our member mixer is sure to bring some laughs, and prizes will go to the Ugliest Sweaters! Then, the kids are in for a sweet treat on December 23 at the Gingerbread House Decorating event. Bring your confection creations home to eat on Christmas Day. And finally, we close the year with a rad New Year’s Eve Party, for adults only, on December 31st.

Savor the Season

When the holiday calls for something extra special, join us at the clubhouse to see what Chef has prepared for Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve Dinners. And don’t forget, over the holiday break Whitetail Burger Co. will be open for your burger and milkshake fix. For a quick seasonal favorite, try this homemade hot chocolate recipe by tasteofhome.com INGREDIENTS: 1/2 cup sugar 1/4 cup baking cocoa Dash salt 1/3 cup hot water 4 cups milk 3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract Miniature marshmallows, sweetened whipped cream or cinnamon sticks, optional

DIRECTIONS: In a saucepan, combine sugar, cocoa, and salt. Add water; bring to a boil— Cook and stir for 2 minutes. Stir in milk; heat to serving temperature (do not boil). Remove from the heat; stir in vanilla. Whisk until frothy. If desired, garnish with marshmallows, cream, or cinnamon sticks.

Best in Snow

After Christmas Day, snow is our favorite thing to celebrate! Whitetail Club’s Sledding Party & Rally at the Rink, kick the winter off with some serious fun! The sledding party on December 27 is a fun family event at our very own sledding hill. Bring your favorite sled or use one from our collection. We’ll be roasting hot dogs and s’mores over the fire and have a hot chocolate bar for kids and adults. Friends are welcome! Two days later, on December 29, is the first Rally at the Rink event of the season. Our new ice rink will be ready for freestyle skating and games. Our food truck will be serving hot food and drinks to be enjoyed rink side or in a warm tent. Live music will keep you moving on the ice all afternoon!

Out & About

Just outside the gates of our community is a winter wonderland waiting for you. McCall, and the surrounding areas, give you access to backcountry adventures and local traditions. One of the most popular annual events is the Winter Carnival from January 28 through February 6, 2022. The multi-day event includes a variety of events, including a world-class ice sculpture contest and parade. See visitmccall.org for more information and details unfold.

Whitetail Club’s 2022 Event Calendars will be in your mailbox soon, and we are excited for the year ahead. Flip to pages 12–13 of this issue for an overview of next year’s events. In 2021 our events saw huge turnouts, and we expect the same for 2022. In addition to contacting the Club Concierge, we encourage you to use the member portal and app to make dining reservations, book court reservations, and RSVP for events.
