Director’s Note
Dear Whitetail Club,
Tickets are going fast for the Queen Tribute Summer Concert, scheduled for August 7th. If you haven’t reserved your tickets yet, now is the time to do this. New this year; the sponsoring member will need to be present when the party checks in at the concert. Please remember this as you plan your group’s arrival. This show will undoubtedly be the event of the year, and I look forward to seeing you there. We will be closing the tunnel gates that lead to and from the Shore Lodge Cottages community in the coming days. Moving forward, you will need your membership assigned FOBs or membershipspecific gate code when entering club facilities via these access points. Please be on the lookout for this. A reminder that no automobiles are allowed on the paved paths. The paths are reserved for bike, pedestrian, and golf cart use. On the topic of security, we have also installed the gate at our Migratory Ridge access point, which is now functional. Similar to all other access points leading into the Whitetail Club community, your FOBs or gate code will be necessary there as well.

It’s hard to believe that I’m already talking about fall hours of operation, but a reminder to pay attention to your weekly eblasts and monthly newsletters for up-to-date hours of operation for all Whitetail Club facilities. Beginning mid-August, modified hours of operation will go into effect in a few of our club outlets. Welcome to our newest Whitetail Club members Jennifer Duplisea, Jon Riche, and Bill & Tina McBride. Lots of summer fun is still to be had. Sincerely,
Club Director | 208.630.0216

Whether you’re going for a relaxing canoe ride on the lake, a vigorous kayak trip for the sake of fitness, or an early morning SUP ride to bring you back to your center —visit The Boathouse for all things Payette Lake!
4.
There’s nothing like watching sunbeams play on the surface of Payette Lake’s glacial waters or waking up on a perfect summer morning and going for a kayak or SUP ride around the lake. It’s no secret that Payette Lake is Idaho’s can’t-miss summer destination, and as a Whitetail Club Member, you have second to none access to all the nautical escapades you can think of. To ensure you get plenty of time out on the water this summer, we’ve developed a selection of on-the-lake activities to promote your lake daze!
5.
Ride in Style Whitetail Club members have exclusive access to our boat fleet. That means you can check the weather and call the concierge to schedule a boat rental for the sunniest upcoming day! Want to get out on the water this month? Learn more about Whitetail Club’s boat fleet below.
Malibu: This is the top-of-the-line wake surf, wakeboard, and water-ski boat. Accommodating up to 12 people, the Malibu is the best boat for a thrilling & fun day out on the water.
Pontoon: Our 25' high-performance, luxury pontoon boats for you to ride for a half or full day and explore the lake at your own pace and experience the thrills of the great outdoors! SkyDeck: A 32' double-decker with twin 300 horsepower outboards and a water slide. This luxurious boat also features an excellent sound system — the perfect boat for a party on the lake.
CALL 208.630.0245 FOR RENTAL INFORMATION AND RESERVATIONS.
Hook, Line, and Sinker Fishing is a relaxing & rewarding way to experience the wonders of Payette Lake! Whether you are an expert or just starting, Payette Lake has many fishing spots for everyone! The odds of not catching a fish are pretty slim, and you’ll mostly be hooking cutthroat and rainbow trout. In addition, the local Department of Fish & Game reports that old-growth lake trout planted in the 1950s can weigh more than 30 pounds! So bring some heavy-duty gear, just in case you hook one of these giants. Be sure to check the Fish and Game website for season dates, catch limits, and general rules and regulations before you strike out on your own.
6.
Break a Sweat with a View! Are you looking for a scenic workout? Find it on the water with Whitetail Club’s non-motorized lake vehicles — which can all be found at The Boathouse!
Canoe or Kayak
(Single or Tandem) :
Canoeing and kayaking are low-impact activities that can improve aerobic fitness, strength, and flexibility! Specific health benefits include improved cardiovascular fitness and muscle strength, particularly in the back, arms, shoulders, and chest! This will be the most picturesque upper body workout you’ll find anywhere!
Stand Up Paddleboard: Since your abdominal muscles will constantly work to help you keep your balance while you’re on the water, SUPs are a great way to work your core. Beyond the abs, SUP is also an excellent all-around body workout. It’s an exercise in strength and endurance that requires almost every element of the body to cooperate and pull its weight. From shoulders to the knees, Stand Up Paddle Boarding is a full-body workout!
Laze by the Lake Living next to breathtaking views and unparalleled access to nature allows you to treat it like your backyard… If you feel like you deserve a cat nap, why not take one on the beach by the clubhouse? Our staff will bring your order to you so you can experience a lazy lake day with the luxury service you deserve. Or, if you’d like to be lulled into a trance by the gentle movements of the lake’s waters, stop by the boathouse and purchase a larger-than-life floaty! From a huge flamingo tube to a pineapple-shaped inflatable bed, these summer-themed accessories will only make your lake day more relaxing and fun!

July, where did it go? And what a tremendous month it was! More rounds in the month than last year, as well as excellent participation in all our weekly clinics and crew games. The Ladies Member Guest was a huge success—thirty-three teams competed, and everyone had a good time! Congratulations to our Gross Champions, Miki Edwards & her partner Jane Jones with scores of 76 & 73. And congratulations to our Net Champions, as well, Heidi Tidd & her partner Vicki White with scores of 64 & 69. Thank you to all the players for a wonderful competition! STRIKING A BALANCE BETWEEN MOUNTAIN-MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY. The terms Modern and Contemporary may sound interchangeable for some, but each term refers to two very distinct styles for architects and interior designers. One Architect that is finding the critical balance between the two is LEED Accredited Professional Stephen Green. With projects throughout China, Belize, Costa Rica, Mexico, Indonesia, Fiji, and high-end residential designs in McCall, Idaho, Boise, Idaho, and Hawaii—his keen eye for innovation and sustainability is reflected in Whitetail Club’s ‘Highlands’ and ‘Pinecrest’ designs. Each model combines a sense of pragmatism and lifestyle while also delivering the highest degree of creativity. Common building materials for homes include concrete and wood, but not every buyer understand the nuances of their choice of exterior materials. Green had a vision for each selection, and each model was introduced to a contemporary yet fitting pattern of concrete dubbed as ‘board-formed concrete.’ This unique patterning process imprints a realistic wood grain image, visually leaving a soft and warmer accent to its cooler tones while keeping the concrete’s durability intact. Not to mention that during the colder seasons, board form concrete structures help keep warmth from sources like fireplaces and heaters. Read more by visiting WhitetailClub.com/Happenings
