Director’s Note
Dear Whitetail Club Members,
I am incredibly excited to announce that Whitetail Club was included on the 2021-22 Platinum Clubs of America list of Top 150 Private Clubs. If you’re not familiar with Platinum Clubs program, it’s one of few avenues for a formal endorsement in the private club industry and primarily voted on by Club managers from around the country. Whitetail Club was evaluated on seven criteria: • Universal Recognition • Excellence in Amenities and Facilities • Caliber of Staff and Professional Service Levels • Quality and Commitment of Membership • Governance and Prudent Fiscal Management • Adapting to Changing Times • Overall Experience And Whitetail Club placed a respectable 124th. To view the complete list or learn more about the Platinum Clubs of America program, head to https://www.platinumclubsofamerica.com/top150-country-clubs . A continual reminder that if you’re heading to the clubhouse or a Shore Lodge outlet to dine, please make your reservations in advance. All outlets are continuing to operate with fewer tables/seats. Making your reservations in advance will help ensure that you have an optimal dining experience. Speaking of an optimal dining experience, Chef Marcus and the team have recently launched a new fall menu at the clubhouse restaurant. Make sure to visit and share your feedback.
Please pay attention to your weekly eblasts and monthly communications for all the details you’ll need to make this holiday season as festive as ever. Which reminds me, have you made your plans for Thanksgiving? The menu looks nothing short of awesome, and we welcome you to either dine-in or take-out. Make sure to contact Danielle at the concierge desk with questions or to confirm your reservation. Our end of season Fall Classic golf tournament came with a day of unrelenting torrential downpour in true mountain living fashion. The sky opened up well in advance of the scheduled tee off and didn’t let up until late into the evening. To the members that participated it was an impressive way to end the summer season. Last but absolutely for sure, not least, please help me welcome our newest members, John & Sonja Wanebo, Jaret & Suzy Butler, Dan Little & Elena Batalla.
Enjoy the season and thank you,
The holidays are just around the corner. Though it has become evident that we won’t be hosting one or two of our favorite seasonal events, there will still be plenty of activities going on for the entire family to enjoy. 3.
Activities to make memories this holiday season. Whitetail Club Members are well aware of what the holidays usually entail – kids and grandkids in town, lots of traditional holiday food, and plenty of downtime to spend together. Though the holidays are a highly coveted time to enjoy quality time with those we love, planning, and scheduling the perfect holiday itinerary for everyone in town is not a task for the meek. And since the holidays may look a little different this year, you may want to skip some standard holiday activities, and we don’t blame you! To help ensure your holiday cheer doesn’t take a backseat this season Whitetail Club has gathered a list of four low-key activities, so you and yours celebrate what matters most without all the fuss! Enjoy the festive atmosphere of this wintery season! From hands-on activities to a day out on the town, these ideas will create memories to last a lifetime and make this the best holiday season yet.

COOK A FAMILY RECIPE - SALTED BANANA BREAD Whether you inherited a worn-down recipe card or memorized the secret formula to grandma’s delicious oatmeal cookies, now is the perfect time to share these distant, yet familiar pieces of history with those you love. Now is also the ideal time to create new traditions, if you don’t already have them in place! Here’s an easy favorite recipe for 5-ingredient Salted Banana Bread. INGREDIENTS 3 large ripe bananas, mashed 1 cup white sugar 1 egg ¼ cup softened butter
DIRECTIONS Preheat oven to 325 degrees and grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan. Combine bananas, sugar, egg, and butter and mix. Then stir flour and baking
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour 1 tsp baking soda 1 tbsp Maldon salt flakes
soda into the wet mixture until well incorporated. Pour batter into the pan and sprinkle Maldon salt on top. Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted in the center of the bread comes out clean, about 1 hour.
DECORATE WITH A DIY WREATH If you think holiday wreaths are a thing of the past, we’d like you to reconsider! A quick trip to the craft store will have your creative juices flowing, and a homemade wreath can be ready in as little as an hour! Ready to reinvent this Christmas tradition? Check out the tutorial below for a beautiful minimalist wreath that will bring a modern feel to this traditional decoration MATERIALS 12 in. gold ring Floral Wire Floral Tape Gold String Pinecones, Greens and Dried Flowers
DIRECTIONS Using floral tape, attach the florals to the gold ring by wrapping the tape around the stem of the flower, then push the floral wire through the taped stem and wrap it around the ring. Do the same with pinecones and green foliage until you achieve your desired look. 5.
#SHOPLOCAL: SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY - NOVEMBER 28 It’s hard for small businesses to compete with the big guys during the holidays, and now more than ever, it feels good to know where your money’s going. Small Business Saturday is the solution to both of these conundrums! Between Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Small Business Saturday encourages holiday shoppers to buy from local businesses rather than big box stores, stimulating the local economy and supporting the mom & pop shops that make our mountain-town so unique. Here are a few niche places in town where you can get some goodies for the loved ones on your gift list. FANCY BLING McCall Jewelry Company 207 E Lake St, McCall, ID 83638

GET CREATIVE WITH HOLIDAY CARDS! Whatever happened to good old holiday cards? Gone are the days of cheesy 80s glamour shots of the whole family in black turtle necks (though if you want to embrace this aesthetic, we’re sure your recipients would get a kick out of it). Out with the old and in with the new! Here is a step-by-step on how to create Christmas cards that embrace both tradition and modernity and spread joy to everyone on your mailing list.
STEP 1: CHOOSE A PHOTOGRAPHER Your chosen photographer will work closely with you to scout the perfect location. Keep in mind that Whitetail Club is filled with scenic nooks and crannies to serve as a backdrop for your photoshoot!
STEP 2: CHOOSE YOUR OUTFIT Have your family pick their look of the day! Everyone’s color palettes must work in unison. We encourage you to embrace fall colors as beiges, browns, and yellows pair well with white base colors.
STEP 3: CHOOSE YOUR POSE On the day of your photoshoot, test out all sorts of poses and faces. Seasoned photographers will direct you on where to stand and how to move and allocate time for both posed photos and candid shots!
STEP 4: CHOOSE YOUR FAVORITE PHOTO After the photoshoot, your photographer will take the time to select the best shots and color-correct them. Once they give you the green light to take a look at the final photos, sit with your family and choose the best one!
STEP 5: CHOOSE YOUR CARD Now that you have your best photo, visit Shutterfly.com, Minted.com or TinyPrints.com, and choose your favorite template for a holiday card! You can pick different fonts, colors, and styles, customize it to your liking, and they’ll print and ship it for you.

– LUXURY HOLIDAY GIFT GUIDE – The holidays are around the corner, and shopping for a picky giftee can be a challenge. You know the type… if you’re going to buy them a dress, it can’t just be any dress – it has to be an American made, organic cotton dress from an obscure online brand. A fancy watch simply won’t do, either – he’d prefer a vintage, limited edition Swiss made watch face with an ostrich leather band. If you’re harried trying to find the perfect present for that hard-to-please person in your life, look no further than Whitetail Club’s Luxury Holiday Gift Guide!
Ember Mug $130 A smart mug perfect for the coffee lover on your list.

Cuttingedge technology and artisan design meet to create a beautiful piano that features an analog instrument’s full sound with all the bells and whistles of a digital one.
