Director’s Note Dear Whitetail Club Members,
A sincere thank you to our entire membership for your patience and understanding as we continue to navigate through the pandemic. Many of you have been reaching out with questions regarding what summer will look like here at Whitetail Club. I have been, and continue to be, cautiously optimistic that we will begin to phase back in specific amenities over the coming weeks. In conjunction with the guidance Center for Disease Control and officials, we have been diligently defining what the ‘new normal’ will
provided by the other governing working towards be for all of us.
The safety of you and your family, as well as that of our employees, will always be our top priority in our decision-making. In turn, modifications to certain services may be necessary to ensure we’re doing our best to keep everyone healthy, happy, and having fun while you’re out enjoying our club facilities and amenities. We will know more in the coming days as we continue to define our strategies. I look forward to communicating with confidence what to expect as we welcome you back to McCall for the summer season. We look forward to the opening of the golf course later this month. Recent reports from Whitetail Superintendent, Adam Lott, have confirmed that due to the amount of snow and moisture still on the course, achieving our intended course opening date of May 16th isn’t feasible. The decision has been made to push the course opening by one week to May 23rd. Stay tuned to your weekly e-blasts and push notifications for further updates. There are a couple of housekeeping reminders to review. First, and per the motion passed during our 2017 Annual Property Owners Association, we will be implementing the annual reissuing of all access codes for members, employees, and vendors to continue our efforts in managing unsolicited visitors from trespassing on club property. In early May, you will receive your new gate code via mail with the confirmation that these new gate codes will be going into effect on June 1, 2020.
Keep an eye out for your codes, and please reach out if you don’t receive yours. A reminder to please communicate these to your family as your existing access code will be deactivated at midnight that same day. Secondly, thank you to those that provided any requested changes to your member directory listing. Along with making any necessary revisions to the membership plan, fee appendix, and rules & regulations, the full directory is in the process of being updated. These will be into production by the end of the month and in your mailboxes by early June. A reminder that only the inserts will be mailed; please keep your binders for reuse. Mother’s Day is just around the corner, and though we won’t see you at the clubhouse doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the culinary genius of Chef Marcus and his team. The menu looks out of this world. Celebrate the mothers in your life with a restaurant-style brunch. Plan to get your to-go orders by May 9. Our team will meet you curbside with your order, a smile, and a few mimosas if you’d like. Finally, I want to give a heartfelt pat on the back to the Whitetail Club & Shore Lodge culinary teams for working together to provide Easter Brunch for over 40 first responders based in McCall. What an incredible way to say ‘thank you’ to those that are working tirelessly to keep us all safe. And a sincere welcome to our newest members, Bud & Judy Kohring and Miles & Kayla Edmark. I look forward to seeing you all soon. Sincerely,

Springtime is a season of renewal. As flower buds begin to blossom and growth is all around us, setting new goals for the mind, body, and spirit is a great way to improve your sense of well-being. There’s no better approach to feeling reinvigorated than trying a new workout, and the exciting, complete overhaul of the gym at the Indoor Tennis & Fitness Center is the perfect solution. Including brand-new, state-of-the-art equipment, our fitness center will compliment your healthy lifestyle and take you from breaking a sweat on the cardio machines to building muscle on the strength equipment. We worked with a team of fitness pros to help us select the latest equipment and optimize the layout, making for better flow within our space. The new selection includes two Peloton bikes that simulate rides through worldwide locations, leading you every step of the way through a heartpounding workout. In addition to the Peloton bikes, the gym will have an extensive array of both strength and cardio equipment from Matrix Fitness. The cardio machines will come with an appbased console and touch screen that includes Bluetooth connectivity
for personal devices. The exercise programs will lead you through different training modules and add a virtual component to guide you through immersive journeys around the globe. Meanwhile, the new Rowers will place you gliding atop the water, with quick keys that provide access to sprinting, distance, and high-intensity interval rowing training. Ready to get stronger? A full line of Matrix strength machines and free weights will complement the cardio offering. The strength set includes a full range of sectorized machines that target the major muscle groups. At the same time, the versatile Smith Machine can be used for a wide variety of strength-based exercises. It can be tailored to anyone, with customizable spotting and safety features that make everyone’s workout that much more effective. This fitness center renovation ensures that you have all that you need to get in the best shape of your life, and none of the excuses! And as we head towards warmer weather, elevate your workout experience with Whitetail Club’s Summer Circuit Training Program, which will leave you with a fresh, fun approach to a fit mind and body.

I most certainly hope you and your families are doing well and are healthy. I assume you are thinking like me, and you are definitely ready for the summer in McCall. As restrictions loosen, Adam Lott, our superintendent, and I are bringing staff back to prepare for what will be a tremendous season at Whitetail Club. The snow is melting, and work has begun to get us ready and open for our target date of Saturday, May 23rd. I am excited to tell you that Diana Miller, Patty Gordon, Kevin Daugherty, Paul Currie, Anna Gard, Blake Sorenson & Leigh Coleman will be returning for the season. New to the golf shop will be Kevin White and Marcus Geer, both Class A PGA Professionals. Kevin is from Boise and attended Gonzaga University, where he played on the golf team. He has tremendous previous experience in Arizona, Oregon & Idaho. He has been a Class A Member of the PGA since 2008. Marcus is from Missoula, Montana. He attended Carrol College and was the captain of their golf team. He is a new Class A member of the PGA. Marcus previously worked at Desert Mountain in Scottsdale, The Quarry in La Quinta, Rock Creek Cattle Company, and Missoula CC in Montana. Both Kevin and Marcus have tremendous experience. I am looking
forward to working with both of them, and I am confident you will enjoy having them as part of the team. On our Outside Service Team, Darke Para, a Professional Golf Management student from U of Idaho, will be joining us, as well as my son Brody. Brody attends Western Washington University. Brody will be a senior this fall and is a member of the WWU Golf Team. The golf event schedule is set, and more information will follow for registration. All our weekly events and clinics will start in June. I certainly hope you plan on participating in as many tournaments and events as possible. If you have any questions about the team or our schedule, please do not hesitate to call or email me. I so look forward to seeing you all soon. Remain healthy,

IT’S NOT LIKE THE GAME… IT IS THE GAME TrackMan 4’s Dual Radar Technology is a significant milestone in the evolution of Launch Monitor, golf instruction, coaching, fitting, and entertainment. One radar system tracks everything the club does before, during, and after impact - from commonly known parameters like Club Path and Face Angle to Swing Direction and Spin Loft. The other radar system tracks the full ball flight - from launch to landing and everything in between; including Launch Angle, Spin Rate and curvature.
