WELCOME TO OUR NEWEST MEMBERS! Phillip & Aimee Monroe Resident Social Sport Del Mar, CA Brad & Annette Charles Resident Social Sport Meridian, ID Brian Baum & Moira Geraghty Resident Social Sport Burlingame, CA 2.

Director’s Note Season’s Greetings,

Thank you to all the members that provided their thoughts, constructive feedback, and praises in response to the Member Experience Survey. We have pulled all the data and will be going question by question and note by note, reviewing as a team, and determining what course of action will be implemented as a result. Our goal with the survey is to be as transparent as possible, and because of this, you can see some of the statistical data that we received on pages 4 and 5 of this issue of the Trailblazer. Though the survey link has expired, please don’t hesitate to reach out to either Tom or me at any time with questions, concerns, or ideas. We welcomed three Brian Baum & Moira Charles and Phillip & for choosing Whitetail

new families this month. Geraghty, Brad & Annette Aimee Monroe. Thank you Club.

The team is locked, loaded, and waiting patiently for winter to provide us with enough accumulation and consistently cool temps to begin prepping and maintaining all of our winter amenities, including our 20k of Nordic track, snowshoe loop, and sledding hill. Our ice rink will be back, but with a slightly different look and a fresh new location. You may have noted Rick and crew grating and leveling the far end of the Fish & Swim Club parking lot— this is where we’ll be constructing the rink moving forward. In doing so, we’ll be able to maintain the rink on a more consistent basis allowing more ice time for the membership to enjoy. Stay tuned to Whitetail Club’s weekly emails and notifications for updates on when these winter amenities will be available. And remember that The Fish & Swim Club is your hub for all the necessary equipment to get out there and utilize these great offerings. If the colder temps don’t get you warm and fuzzy, we can help you there as well. Remember that The Studio is open all winter for you to practice your swing or get a game on the simulator. Contact Eugene at 208.630.0211 to confirm your session. Or grab your racquet and head to the indoor pavilion for tennis or pickleball. Make sure to reserve the court 3.

in advance to avoid any unnecessary congestion. You can make your court reservations via the Whitetail Club app. If you need a tutorial on how to get this accomplished, reach out to the Club Concierge or Member Services team, they will look forward to walking you through it. Due to the constraints of COVID-19, and in line with our efforts to keep our members, their families, and our teams safe, we have modified a few of our holiday traditions and experiences. In saying that, there will still be plenty going on for the whole family to enjoy, no doubt making this holiday season as festive and fun as ever. Please pay special attention to the upcoming Whitetail Club weekly emails for event details and outlet offerings. I’d also like to remind you all to make your dining reservations in advance for Christmas Eve & New Year’s Eve. Tables are still available, but I don’t expect this to be the case for long. Use the Whitetail Club app or contact the Club Concierge today to make your reservations. December 18th through January 3rd, Whitetail Burger Co., Clubhouse restaurant, and C-Store (except for Christmas day) will be open daily for regular business hours. For a review of the required safety precautions we’re asking all members and guests to abide by, please refer to page 9 or the member portal. Merry Christmas, and here’s to a healthy and happy new year,

Winter Golf… It’s a Thing

Snow in McCall means nothing but fun at Whitetail Club. The hot tub is steaming, the sledding hill is primed for action, and the hot-toddy ingredients are at the ready… but even with all the balmy comforts and easy-going thrills the snow may bring, winter would be better with golf. Maybe you have some downtime before your mid-day ski trip to Brundage… Perhaps you have some time to kill between snowshoeing and ice-fishing… Or there’s the chance you’re just that dedicated to the game and want to train your drives in the off-season... Rethink your winter itineraries because wintertime golf is a possibility at Whitetail Club. The Studio is your year-round, all-weather golf training facility and appointments are just a phone call away. Our state-of-the-art golf simulator

allows you to play, train, or have tournaments with fellow members on over fifty courses around the globe — including Royal Portrush, Innisbrook, Muirfield Village, Albany, PGA National, and the four legendary St. Andrews Links courses — all without ever having to leave Whitetail Club. And though the fun maybe a virtual reality, The Trackman 4 provides real-time, key metrics to refine your technique and improve your game. Featuring hyper-realistic graphics, ultra-effective atmospheric effects, and second-to-none ball-flight, the virtual golf module at The Studio makes golf a winter thing.

But this year, you may have noticed some developments around The Fish & Swim Club, and this is all in preparation for an update in your annual skating experience. Introducing Whitetail Club’s all-new Ice Rink! Skate to your heart’s desires, and enjoy wintertime fun all season long.

Up to Snow Good

There are plenty of opportunities to raise a toast this holiday season, and we want to ensure that the glasses you’re raising are full and festive. We’ve crafted four wintertime drink recipes fit for every sipper — from cocktails to milkshakes, to spiked hot drinks; check out these recipes for seasonal drinks that will keep you and yours “up to snow good” while the flurries fly! MILK & HONEY: A silky and delicious beverage that can be served cold or warm. Ingredients • 1 ¾ oz Bénédictine Liqueur • ½ oz of Milk or Milk Alternative • Garnish: Orange Slice & Cinnamon Stick Instructions: • Add the Bénédictine to a mug. • Fill with ice and top with cold milk. • Garnish with orange slice & cinnamon stick. Note: This cocktail can also be served hot. Simply warm up the milk and leave out the ice. EGGNOG RUSSIAN: A festive classic with a caffeinated twist and a spicy kick. Ingredients • 1 ½ oz of Bacardi Spiced Rum • 1 ½ oz of Kahlua or Coffee Liqueur • ¾ cup of store-bought eggnog • 1 pinch ground nutmeg Instructions: • Pour spiced rum and coffee liqueur over ice • Top with a splash of eggnog • Stir and garnish with a sprinkle of nutmeg

11.

WHITE HOT CHOCOLATE: A smooth, warm drink to keep the whole family cozy. Ingredients • 4 cups of milk • 1 cup of white chocolate chips • 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract • pinch of salt, optional • Garnishes: marshmallows, whipped cream, candy canes Instructions: • Heat the milk, white chocolate, vanilla, and a bit of salt (if using) in a medium saucepan. • Whisk continuously over the lowest heat setting until chocolate chips melt and the mixture is smooth. Be sure not to boil. • Garnish with marshmallows, whipped cream, candy canes, and serve immediately. Note: Spike this drink with a splash of Peppermint Schnapps for a cocktail that will keep you warm in more ways than one. SALTED CARMEL MILKSHAKE: A salty and sweet milk shake to match the wintery outdoors. Ingredients • 4 cups of vanilla ice cream • ½ cup of milk • 1/8 cup of caramel sauce • Maldon salt flakes • Garnishes: whipped cream, salted caramel chews, pretzel sticks. Instructions: • Add ice cream, whole milk, and caramel sauce to a blender and blend until smooth. (this is where you add more caramel if desired) • Sprinkle some pinches of salt on the mixture and gently stir with a spoon, ensuring the flakes don’t dissolve. • Pour the mixture into a mug or milkshake glass, and garnish with whipped cream, salted caramels, pretzel sticks, caramel sauce, and more salt, if desired. Note: Spike this drink by substituting the milk with a 1/3 cup of your favorite stout for a boozy milkshake you’ll keep wanting more of.
