Seasons Greetings Whitetail Club Members,
December is packed all month long with events and excursions for the entire family to enjoy. To kick things off, Shore Lodge will host a Winemaker’s Dinner on December 7, featuring one of Walla Walla’s finest, Tranche Cellars. The weekends that follow bring two of Shore Lodge’s longest-standing holiday traditions, breakfast with Santa on December 14, and holiday cookie decorating on December 21. Rounding out the month Whitetail Club’s calendar has some holiday time favorites including an afternoon of gingerbread house decorating on December 23, a sledding party on December 27, our first Brundage tailgate of the season on December 29, snowmobiling to Burgdorf on December 30 and our annual year New Years Eve bash on December 31. This month is actionpacked, so be sure to access the Whitetail Club app or contact our Club Concierge today to RSVP. For those that own property in Whitetail Club, our annual Whitetail Club Property Owners Association meeting is scheduled for December 27 at 3:30pm at the Fish & Swim Club. Following the meeting is our end of season member mixer at 5:30pm and I hope to see you all there. If you have any questions regarding the POA, don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly.
In our continued effort to keep the membership up to date, we are excited to announce push notifications available through the new Whitetail Club app. If you’re not familiar with what a push notification is, it’s a pop-up message that will look similar to a text or a mobile alert received on your mobile device with realtime information on Whitetail Club happenings and announcements. We’ll begin using push notifications in 2020, if you’re interested in receiving these, make sure to confirm this while logged onto the app. With the golf season at Whitetail Club well into hibernation, we wanted to take a moment to say ‘Congratulations’ to Scot Ludwig on his recent holein-one. Scot knocked it in while playing in the Rio Secco Golf Club Pro-AM along with fellow Whitetail members, DH Moss, Scott Butterfield, Torry McAlvain, and Whitetail pro, Nathan Ferrell. How exciting!
2019 brought a great deal of success to Whitetail Club. I can see clearly that 2020 will bring even more success to our slice of Central Idaho. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year,
We are thrilled to see that our membership is actively using the Member Portal and Whitetail Club App. You have likely noticed that the current and past Trailblazers are now available digitally on both platforms. Starting in 2020, we’ll be asking you to confirm whether you’d like to continue to receive this monthly communication via standard mail service or prefer to receive the digital version only. Note that we are committed to providing the monthly Trailblazer in whichever method you prefer. An email will be sent later this month to choose your preferred delivery method, keep an eye out for that in your inbox.

A Letter From Tom Garcia President & General Manager
It is hard to believe that I have only been part of the Whitetail Club community for three months. Yet, the conversations and insights with both members and staff have expedited my knowledge and education. Coming here in August and seeing our offerings for the first time, I could imagine the seamless connections that our members would feel in navigating our neighborhoods and amenities.
We are excited to see the traction with our real estate development and the community within Whitetail Club taking form. The Fairways Townhomes are progressing along as planned. In addition to having new owner purchases, we are building some spec Fairways Townhomes to satisfy the demand for those families desiring to move in quickly to begin experiencing the wonderments of the Whitetail Club community.
The talent and team we have overseeing all functions of the club activity are incredible. My task is to work alongside our staff and make each and every member and guest experience gratifying and memorable. As my previous announcement noted, I plan to infuse and enhance the member experience through both product and service. My goal is to continue to create lifetime memories for you and those special to you.
Our Shore Lodge Cottage development is set for completion by Spring of 2021, with twenty of the twenty-three sold. We have finalized the infrastructure and will be adding a few of the owner cottages to our Shore Lodge room inventory, as vacation rentals. This program allows for usage during high demand days for potential future residences, when not owner-occupied. Lastly, we are planning an event on January 4, 2020, to inaugurate at our new Discovery Center. I look forward to meeting more of you at this event. Until then, I wish you all a festive and enjoyable holiday season.
We are planning a fantastic 2020 calendar of events that will have some new adventures, along with those favorites our members have come to enjoy. The popularity of our events pushed attendances this past year to new heights and excited the team in the planning and execution stages. Our new Cart Barn is well on its way to meet our spring opening. With our new golf cart selection, all-new teaching bays, a practice putting green and bunkers adjacent to the space, members will have countless new amenities to enjoy. Also, with this new building comes additional space for our members’ to host events or weddings. We will plan for an opening party in the coming year. More to come on this celebration.

Meet us on Whitetail Club’s Sledding Hill, where the Argo will tow you to the top, toward a warm hot cocoa bar (make that “spiked” for us older kids), a warm fire pit, and delicious hot treats. We’ll provide everything from the sleds to the refreshments so all you have to do is show up...and sled down, of course.

The holiday season is a kickoff for fun winter events ahead in McCall and at Whitetail Club. Be sure to make your plans to come to Whitetail Club the weekend of January 24 - 26 for the start of Winter Carnival ‘It’s a Kids World’ and our annual Winter Signature Event on Saturday, January 25. The weekend promises to be a magical weekend for the whole family with fun and surprises around every corner. Here are some recommended stops for the weekend. Friday, January 24 Starting at 9am | Snow Sculptures Snow Sculpture viewing starting at 9am and runs throughout the entire event. 7pm | Fireworks over Payette Lake Enjoy the great views from the clubhouse. Saturday, January 25 12noon | Mardi Gras Parade The annual march in downtown McCall showcases your favorite local business in a themed float. Wait until you see what Shore Lodge has dreamt up this year! 7:30 | 2020 Winter Signature Event. Show starts at 8pm. From the stage that brought you: comedians, magicians, an a cappella group, and a Broadway show, get ready for the boldest act of all. real estate A Year In Review
It’s hard to believe that we’re already facing not just another year, but another decade entirely. As we transition into this new year at Whitetail Club, we can’t help but look back at how far our real estate developments – and our community – have come. We’re thrilled to see new faces here in our premier private community. And while it seems like just yesterday when we launched our Shore Lodge Cottages at Whitetail Club, here we are with only two cottages remaining. Meanwhile, the roads to The Fairways neighborhood are all laid out, with another set of townhomes underway. But while it feels great to reflect on how far we’ve come we’re even more excited about what’s to come next. Our real estate team is working directly with some very talented architects to create new floorplans and home designs which will streamline the buy-and-build process for those purchasing homesites here at Whitetail Club. We’re looking forward to sharing these new plans with you once they’re finalized, seeing The Fairways neighborhood complete, and of course, meeting all of the new members which will be coming our way. Here’s to another fantastic year at Whitetail Club!
