RALLY at THE RINK A COOL NEW EDITION
T
HIS PAST JANUARY, Whitetail Club unveiled our newest amenity, an expansive, outdoor ice-skating rink. Open seasonally, the skating rink proved to be a fantastic addition to the offering, providing perfect skating conditions for open skating, hockey
games, and member events. We celebrated all things winter with two “Rally at the Rink” events. Members, friends, and even professional skaters hit the rink to show off their skills. The Whitetail Club Food Truck parked close by, serving warm refreshments and culinary favorites.

GROOMED TRAIL REDESIGNATION – KICKED OFF IN JANUARY
H
ERE AT WHITETAIL CLUB, we are always looking to improve our member experience. Winter of ’21 called for expanding the groomed trail designation on our 20 km of custom trails.
Previously only used for Nordic Skiing, the groomed trails now welcome hikers, dogs, and fat-tire bikes. Members can access the best of the great outdoors without leaving the property, choosing which option (biking or hiking) in the snow. We continue to bring more opportunities for adventure.

T WAS AN EXCEPTIONAL EVENING OF CULINARY DELIGHTS paired with wines from Oregon’s renowned craft winery, Cristom Vineyards. This five-course, one-of-a-kind event highlighted Shore Lodge’s culinary prowess as well as the sommelier’s ability to
taste, analyze, and pair each course with Cristom’s beautifully defined vintages, creating a refined menu fit for the season. We learned about Cristom’s winemaking philosophy and blending practices while exploring their varietals and indulging in the fine offerings of Shore Lodge’s expert culinary team.

HEF MARCUS HAS TAKEN INSPIRATION from the most outstanding French cook of all—Julia Child, and on March 6, he showed us how it could inspire us as well. In this cooking demonstration, Chef Marcus taught step-by-step recipes
for three courses while we watched and indulged in the perfect wine pairings with fellow foodie members. The class concluded with tastings of the dishes, detailed wine recommendations,
and a “Julia Child” themed take-away.
