You are full of compassion, strength, and grace. We wouldn’t be who we are today without you, and we love you for all that you are and all that you do. Thank you for everything you have done for us.

Are you looking for a great Mother’s Day gift idea? Why not make a gift basket?

A gift basket can be a lot of fun. This can be focused on a particular theme. It is lots of fun to open several gifts, or even lots of tiny gifts, and that’s a lot of the fun of a gift basket.

Another lovely thing about the gift basket is knowing that someone took the time and thought of all of these lovely things to give you.

Gift baskets can be very creative, full of someone’s favorite things. Or they can follow just one theme, like a chocolate lover’s basket. No matter the theme the focus is on the gift recipient and the fun they will have with the basket. Every day they can pick something out of the basket to enjoy. This is a gift that they will enjoy for awhile.

To make a gift basket the first thing to do is to select a theme. There is a list of themes below to inspire you, but you may come up with other themes that appeal to your Mom for this Mother’s Day. Select a theme that will appeal to your Mom the

most, whether this is a book lover’s basket, or maybe a tea lover’s basket. If you are having trouble thinking of a theme, consider the things that your Mom loves the most, and these will most likely lead you to great gift basket ideas.

Once you’ve found a theme then select a budget amount for your gift basket. Know that you can do a gift basket for just about every budget; probably a good amount to start a gift basket is at twenty dollars. But you can even do an indulgent gift basket for several hundred dollars. A lot of this will depend on where you shop for items, and exactly what you place in the gift basket. Some items are more expensive than others, like fine designer perfumes or fine or high-end costume jewelry.

But you can bring down the price on both of these items by purchasing them at a discount store, or by shopping at a great sale.

Chocolate lover’s basket. Try stocking this basket with various chocolate goodies, including cocoa, chocolate bars, cooking chocolate. All of the finest quality.

Book lover’s basket. This is a great basket. Do mysteries, romance novels, biographies; whatever type of books your Mom loves the most. Include bookmarks and a book light.

Tea lover’s basket. Perfect for a tea lover. Include favorite teas and some new ones to try. Remember to in-

clude a new tea mug to savor teas with and maybe a nice book to read and some cookies to eat with the tea.

Coffee lover’s basket. Great for a java lover. Include several different kinds of coffee and a coffee cup. You could also include chocolate covered espresso beans or another coffee related snack.

Spa indulgences basket. This is a great basket that any Mom will love. Include a facial mask and all the goodies needed to give yourself a facial at home, or some other beauty treatments. Manicure goodies basket. Give Mom all of the best products to give herself a manicure at home.

Gardener’s basket. This is a great basket if your Mom is always in the garden. Give Mom seeds, baby plants, a gift certificate to the plant store, a book about gardening and some new gardening gloves.

Sudoku puzzle lover’s basket. A Sudoku lover will adore their favorite puzzle and their favorite snack to enjoy while puzzling. Organic foods basket. This is a great basket for someone healthy. Include some new healthy treats for them to enjoy.

DVD basket. This is a great basket for so many Moms, who are often too busy to keep up with even their favorite shows. Give them a season of their favorite TV show or a movie or two. Don’t forget the popcorn!

Shopping spree basket. For the Mom who loves to shop, why not give her a gift card to her favorite store. You could also give her a new cell phone case, to give her cell phone a new look. R&R basket. To restore and relax, fill this basket with treats to make your Mom relax and unwind. Just whatever you feel she would enjoy while relaxing.

Give Your Mother A Letter!

Would you like to give your Mother a priceless gift for Mother’s Day? Why not write her a letter of gratitude, appreciation and blessing? She will certainly appreciate your thoughtfulness and will keep your letter for a long time to come, if not forever.

In this day and age, few people write letters. Letters are valuable. People have saved letters from loved ones for centuries. For many years letters were a primary way to communicate with someone who was at a distance. Letters have been treasured and are still considered a treasure.

Crossword puzzle lover’s basket. Any crossword lover will adore some new puzzle books and dictionary just for crosswords. Be sure to include their favorite snack!

Some people say, “I can’t write.” But you really don’t have to be a writer. You only need to express your feeling honestly. This pure expression makes you the very best

letters, giving her letters that are larger and easier to read is actually giving her a much better gift that she will be sure to appreciate.

tips to help every day feel like Mother’s Day: Schedule Some “Me” Time

• Whether it’s a weekly trip to the gym or a monthly book club session, set aside some time for an activity you truly enjoy.

kind of writer, a writer from the heart. Your mother will not be checking your grammar or your spelling. She will simply be absorbing what you have to share with her.

Some people say, “I don’t know what to say.” But you really do know what to say. Here are some questions to think about to get you started. Answering these questions will help prompt your letter, and will give you some good ideas to write your letter. What is the most important thing your Mother taught you? How does your Mother inspire you? What do you appreciate about your Mother? How has your Mother

shown you courage? What do you wish you had listened to your Mother about? What do you want to thank your Mother for? What is your favorite memory about your Mother?

Write a letter that shows your Mother how you appreciate her, how grateful you are to have her in your life and share some of your favorite memories with her. Once you have written your letter out on notebook paper then transfer it to nice stationary. Or you can print it out on your computer and then sign it if your handwriting is hard to read. While some people may think a letter from a computer is a bit impersonal, if your Mother has trouble reading smaller

This is a gift that your Mother will be sure to remember and enjoy for many years to come. She will save and treasure your letter. She will read and re-read your letter over the years, remembering what you have said to her. It is a lovely gift that is priceless in many ways because it truly comes from the heart.

Make Every Day Feel Like Mother’s Day

Moms are often so busy taking care of everyone else that they end up putting themselves at the bottom of the to-do list.

Moms everywhere can put themselves and their beauty back on the list with some

• Before everyone wakes up, eat your favorite breakfast in bed for some early a.m. relaxation.

Enjoy a Private Oasis

• Recruit your husband to watch the kids while you transform your bathroom into a private oasis. Light scented candles, play calming tunes and add a bit of indulgence to your shower with your favorite scented body wash.

Treat Yourself to a Sweet

• After dropping the kids off at school, treat yourself to a specialty coffee drink for a sweet pick-me-up to get the day started.

Dress Right For Date Night

• Schedule a much-deserved date night for you and your better half.

Go On a Mini-Chore Strike (even if just for a day)

• Take a break from household chores and hire a cleaning service, or leave the dishes soaking overnight, so you can have some guilt-free playtime with the kids.

When mom puts herself on the to-do list, every day can feel like Mother’s Day.

Happy Mother’s Day! Love you to the moon and back. Katie

consider the following unique gift ideas.

• Concert tickets: Many adults recall the days of their youth when Mom would relax while listening to some of her favorite music on a lazy summer afternoon. Why not take a stroll down Memory Lane and take

Mom to see one of her favorite acts in concert? Even if you have outgrown Mom’s musical tastes, she will still appreciate the chance to spend an evening out on the

show she has had her eyes on. If Broadway is a bit

too far for you to travel, do your homework and find a traveling production of a former Broadway show. Such productions often feature many of the same actors who made the play famous on Broadway so you’re still bound to see an unforgettable show Mom will love.

• Parts unknown: Moms who love to travel and experience other cultures would

certainly appreciate a trip abroad or a domestic getaway to a region of the country they have yet to explore. Before booking any such trips, speak to your Mom and ask if there’s anywhere in particular she’d like to go. Such trips can be expensive, so adults might want to speak to their siblings and finance such an excursion together.

• Spa treatment: If Mom is still as active as ever, then a day of pampering at a nearby spa is sure to please. Many luxury spas offer packages, especially around Mother’s Day, that make a full-on spa treatment a more affordable gift. Men and women can even accompany Mom on her trip and reap the rewards of being such a thoughtful son or daughter.

Tribute To Mother

On Mother’s Day, pay your most humble tribute to Mother!

Mothers are everything for us when we are small…our lives revolve around her. For everything that we need we call mother. To protect us from all perceivable dangers

we want her around us. To take us out, we hold her arms. To kiss away our wounds, we run to her. And for a warm hug and love, we look for her. She is the focal point of our lives, the greatest human being in the world. On the special occasion of Mother’s Day pay tribute to your mother, the greatest blessing of God on you.

On Mother’s Day Thank Your Mother

There is simply no way we can ever really thank mother for all she has done for us. She is the one who will be awake all night when we are sick. Praying to God to make us well and be ever ready to bear the pain that we may be experiencing. She is the one to wake up early in the morning to make the nicest meal and endure all our tantrums. Mothers are the ones who would forever complain that we are not eating enough or not eating right. They would cook all sorts of things so that we be strong and healthy. They would take pains to complete our school projects leaving all other works behind while we play around with friends or just while away time watching movies.

On Mother’s Day

Apologize To Your Mother

Mothers are the one on whom we put all the blame for our failures. We would not hesitate once to point her single faux pas though she would not miss even a slightest opportunity to praise us. Isn’t it tough to imagine how she must have borne our temper tantrums when we were teenagers? And how hard we must have made her life by behaving so rude and difficult? And yet she was so astonishingly cool. It is easy for the kids to be so demanding from parents, especially mothers, as we take her affection and care so much for granted. Most often to the extent of selfishness. Mother’s Day is the right time to apologize for all the troubles that we gave to our moms, without even realizing at most times how troublesome we must have been to her.

Celebrate Mother’s Day With Your Dear Mother Mother’s Day is the perfect day to celebrate the joys of having a mother if you are fortunate to have one still around. It is the time to make amends for not being able to spend quality time with her. So turn your wrongs right by making all efforts to give a perfect Mother’s Day to your mother. Strive to make Mother’s day absolutely hassle free for your mother and take the responsibilities on yourself for a day. Pamper her a little on this special day of hers just as she pampers you all the year round. Give her a hug and a kiss as you wish her a Happy Mother’s day!
