Lititz Area Mennonite School 2023 Benefit Auction Planned

Adamstown Library Events

Adamstown Area Library hosts a variety of free programs and events for children and adults. These programs are open to everyone, with or without a library card. The library is located at 110 West Main Street in Adamstown, next to the post office. Regular library hours are Monday through Thursday 9:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Learn more and register for events at AdamstownAreaLibrary. org.

May Events at Adamstown Area Library

• Friends Book Sale

– Every Tuesday in the community room. Hours are from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. every Tuesday except on the second Tuesday of the month, when the sale will end at 5:30 p.m. due to a library program.

• “Budding Bookworms”

Preschool Storytime – Every Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Stories and an easy craft for ages 3-6 with adult. May 24 & 31.

• “Twinkling Stars” Baby Storytime – Every Thursday at 10:00 a.m. Simple stories, rhymes, puppets, songs, and fingerplays. Bring along your 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten packets to help achieve your goal! For babies with adult. Thursday, May 25.

• “The Young and the Restless” Toddler Time –Every Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Stories, songs and fingerplays, followed by an easy craft and free play. Bring along your 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten packets to help achieve your

Lititz Area Mennonite School at 1050 East Newport Road, Lititz, will be having their Benefit Auction on Friday, June 2 and Saturday, June 3.

Friday, June 2nd, starts off with a tasty Down Home Dinner, which is served from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (or sold out).

The meal includes savory roast beef or BBQ chicken thigh, cheesy potatoes, green beans, applesauce (take out only), fruit salad (eat-in only), dinner roll and butter, whoppie pie, iced tea or lemonade. The main auction starts off at 6:15 p.m., followed by theme baskets at 7:30 p.m. and gift certificates!

Come out the next day on

Saturday, June 3rd, with an all-you-can-eat breakfast served from 6:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. They then kick off at 8:30 a.m. with two auctions. The general auction will be held inside the school, and their landscaping auction will be outside. They will have many food items available throughout the day including, baked goods, pork BBQ sandwiches, cheeseburgers, walking tacos, salads, soft serve ice cream and more!

Some of their highlights include theme baskets at 10:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., men’s auction at 11:00 a.m. and special features at 12:00 p.m. This year their special features include Phillies baseball tickets, beach

house rentals, trips to the Ark & Creation Museum, Ohiopyle Treehouse, dinners, pool party, and a Montana Bear hunt to name a few.

Lighthouse Vocational Benefit Auction

The Lighthouse Vocational Services Auction is back!

It’s one day: Saturday, June 10. Bid on anything from beautiful baskets of flowers to power tools, hunting/ camping equipment, indoor furniture, or sheds. Be sure to bring the family for the candy-drop!

Taste savory foods like slow-smoked pork BBQ, fresh-cut fries, or homemade ice cream. The event is free, but the proceeds will benefit the individuals who receive services from Lighthouse.

They believe that God created each individual with value and a purpose for life. Founded upon Christ-centered values and principles, their mission is to provide vocational services, educational enrichment, and community integration experiences for persons with developmental disabilities to promote personal growth, opportunity, and hope for their future.

This year Lighthouse will be collecting non-perishable foods to support The Factory Ministries, a non-profit that helps families in need. Stop by Lighthouse on Saturday, June 10 from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Lighthouse is located on 144 Orlan Road, New Holland.
