Shopping News Photo by Donald Reese Historic Poole Forge will celebrate a day in the life of Pennsylvania’s first people with a Native American Family Day on Saturday, May 9, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This free event will feature White Buffalo Drum, Lenape dancing and Pow Wow dancing. Families can sit in a dugout canoe, see cooking, beading and basket making demonstrations and much, much more. Historic Poole Forge is located at 1940 Main Street in Narvon, in the town of Churchtown. For more information, call 484-797-5302. Bring the entire family for a great day. SunDAy, MAy 10 The 26th Annual Mother’s Day Truck Convoy will be held to benefit Make-A-Wish foundation. A fun-filled day will be held at Burle Business Center starting at 8:30 a.m. and the truck convoy leaves at 1:30 p.m. For more information, call Paulette Battenfelder at 717283-4872.

Shopping News Photo by Donald Reese The Schoeneck Fire Company is busy preparing for its annual Consignment Auction on Saturday, May 16 beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the Fire Hall grounds. A wide variety of items from quilts to lawn care items and everything in between will be offered. Quilts will be sold at 12:00 noon and shown with several items is Fern Mertz (committee member) holding a twinkling star quilt, along with a star in the cabin quilt. Proceeds will benefit the General Fund and they are not accepting tires, AC units, windows or doors. The Fire Company has the right to refuse any items, and items may be dropped off on Thursday, May 14 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Friday, May 15 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. For more information, you may call 717-336-6767.
