My family and I fled Austria for Colombia. I liked Colombia. It was a beautiful country and very hot. That many years ago, it was a little more primitive. (It’s more modern now.) My brother had a hotel there, and I helped in it. We were lucky we were out of the war zone.

We didn’t know anything about the war.”
