Me Poem
By Hayley Orth I am a mustang running wild and free Free as the wind and rain Biting and kicking if anyone dares to challenge me Lead mare strong and proud But also a follower with my nose to the ground I am a lily swaying gently in the breeze Bending during a spring storm but never breaking My variety of colors catches everyone’s eye But I always manage to stay grounded I am a lone timber wolf Running silently through the trees Mysterious and clever, never turning my back Calling to the moon with my sorrowful howl Always listening, Always watching

The Feeling By Savannah Baldwin Have you ever Ever just sat in the wind Just sat there And let the wind dance across your face Have you ever listened Listened to the wind move through the trees Listened to laughs and screams of playing kids Listened to the music of the world Have you ever watched Watched hair move through the breeze Watched the birds fly high through the sky Watched as the world moves around you Have you ever felt Felt the wind as it blows past you Felt the coolness of the breeze Felt the love of a place where you belong Have you ever wanted Wanted the laughter to never disappear Wanted the happiness to never end Have you ever just Listened, watched, felt, wanted Have you ever wanted Wanted to just spread your wings And fly Fly as high as the sky and back down again Have you ever Ever just sat in the wind?
Bacon Nick Green The smell of grease and meat cooking on the pan
My stomach growl as it waits for its crispy tender taste I feel if there is not enough There is only enough for me and only me As I watch it cook the more devastatingly hungry I get Watching the bacon squeal as it becomes more red Hearing it sizzle as it becomes tender For it is the best taste in the universe All I can do is wait and watch It will be ready soon to quench my hunger
Not wanting to get out of bed And less than exciting Other days I’m red Upset and in a rage And just plain angry But on good days I’m teal Bright and bubbly Excited and happy Generous and kind Those are my colors
Ode to Battlefield By: Ethan Wing Best online game of all time, Lots of fun alone, Even more so with friends, You can do crazy stunts, And also fail epically, It can be very, very frustrating at times, Other players can be as annoying as younger siblings, Battlefield can also be your enemy, Glitching and bugging out on you all the time, You are always abandoning some kind of vehicle, And it seems like I’m always baffled at what just happened, But I always chuckle when it happens to someone else, You can dazzle other players with your skills, And sometimes you’re left teetering on the brink of death

My Life in Color By-Ellie McCraw I am magenta, Strong and free, I stand my ground, And stay independent, I know my Savior, And I know that I’m safe, When I believe that Christ, Will always save the day, As he once saved us. I am also emerald sometimes, I grow mad, But as I calm down, I realize I did something wrong, And it was really my fault, When I blamed others for my mistakes, Because I didn’t like to say that I overreacted, When I really did, And so I glow bright, When I know I’m okay. I can also be aqua, Depending on the events, That happens in my day,
I grow big and strong, Like the aqua waves, But then I lay down, As I grow close to shore, I keep everyone happy, When I’m in a good mood, And I take care of those little ones, Like the fish who keep on swimming in the reef, In their families, or schools, As they trust me to protect them from harm, As I keep them in different layers of water, Away from the bullies, as they play the part of sharks, This is My Life in Color, And I’m proud that it is. Spring 2014
So powerful and unique And lastly I am a sapphire Bright and bold And so very beautiful in its own way Considerate yet confident While it is powerful and independent I am a color all my own

Found poem By Karisa Seaman A normal fifteen year old, Traveling, visiting, different, It was the camp, With your own eyes seeing the Holocaust. The ceiling and walls like poison, Majdanek. The gray cement room, Crushed people. Cold and clammy, Sat the air. Crying hysterically, Were the kids. People going to camp for miles. Were feared shocked, Ready to cry. Death Was Dailey Horror Like a dark alley My living shoes Piles and piles of them
Burned People babies and kids Houses going down I would never forget that feeling.

Panem: Pluck them into heaven
I wake up early excited to go Outside where the ice and snow blows I clip into my skis And go down the slope Where fresh snow has just fallen just moments ago I go off a jump and get the feeling of soaring And I think to myself this will never get boring As I pick up speed The wind whistles and screams As the end of winter is near I mourn with my piers But I do not fear For winter will come again next year

Metaphor Poem By Natasha Lakeman I am the wind, here when you need me, when days get difficult with the intense heat, beating down on your back. I am the wind, bringing rain to calm your nerves, but managing to create unneeded puddles. I am the wind, rustling the leaves and relaxing you, lulling you to sleep under the soft sunlight to end a perfect day. I am a highway, helping you move from one point to the next. I am a highway, ranging from lonely to too busy to carry its weight on my shoulders. I am a highway, helping you converse with a loved one by giving ideas and thoughts in the relaxing atmosphere. I am the activist, going to every rally, protest and meet. I am the activist, standing strongly for my opinions and ideas.
I am the activist, fighting tooth and nail for the rights, freedom and ideas that belong to myself and others. I am the activist, called crazy for standing against social norms, but surrounded by others like me. I am the activist, fighting to be heard in the chatter of a large crowd buzzing with bigotry and hate. I am emotions, unpredictable and wild. I am fire, helping warm up when you feel cold and alone. I am ice, difficult to step on without getting hurt. I am a book, keeping you company during your most lonely of nights. I am a book, a whole world of ideas, just waiting to be unleashed. I am a book, sparking thoughts and questions, with my view of the world. I am me, and nothing can change that.
Metaphor Poem By Jason Schmitz I am an ice tea Refreshing on a warm day I am grapes Used for more than one thing Made into raisins Or yummy grape juice I am snow Light and fun to watch Or a blizzard heavy and destructive I am a morning waking everybody up I am coffee Warm taste good I can be sweet Iced or hot

BASEBALL!!! By: Darrien Stutz Baseball isn’t just a game it’s more than that; it’s a game of life. It’s a game where you have to do your best Baseball is a game of passion and heart It’s a game of concentration Baseball is a game of team work Baseball is getting up early and going to practice twice a day It’s a game of patience It’s where you have to put up with bugs and wet grass Where you have to deal with the dirt in your cuts Baseball is the ump yelling strike three It’s a game of frustration When all you can taste is salt from the sunflower seeds Baseball is much more than that; baseball is life.
Yet calm and peace
Colors of Me
School
Parker Fackrell
By Devin Hansen
Sometimes I am red Full of ambition and desire Like a lion coming in for its kill
It’s just about time Five more minutes I think the clock is moving slower It feels like ten minutes but it’s only been a couple of minutes I need out I need the fresh air This place is boring What is it good for anyways I’m here just sitting and waiting For them to let me go The outer world is calling me But no I’m trapped right here in my seat When I could be hanging out with my friends Three more minutes I think I’m starting to get ants in my pants I guess a couple of minutes won’t hurt I can do it It’s not that long I’m getting more excited I can do it Who am I kidding I can’t wait this long I feel as if I was trapped in prison And the teachers are the guards keeping me back Ding! I’m free like a bird in the sky Its over I’m out of here until tomorrow Bye school
Sometimes I am black A dark and stormy night Like a raging typhoon coming through and destroying everything in my path Sometimes I am gold Helping others and trying to stand out Like a proud eagle soaring above the clouds Sometimes I am green A calm and steady color Like a dog after a long walk sleepy with his head lying on the floor Most of all I am a mixture of these colors An ambitious, dark, proud, and calm color all mixed into one This is who I am
Color poem
By Hanah Hoffman I am a soft blue Calm, sad, and still Fluent yet clumsy Closed but sometimes too open I am an ash grey Bored at times Not wanting to wake up Playing too much skyrim Boxing ‘till 11p.m. Coming home gross and tired
Help By Danielle Konechne
I am gold Bright and fierce Glowing proud Ready to try anything Dare to be dared
Help us they shout Victims of the storm Tired of running from whom they are Afraid of being judged Many days of sadness Feelings too sad to explain
Pain so bad they, They want to end it Nobody seems to understand They want to run away, Help them I shout Victims of the storm no more Don’t be afraid of who you are No judging anymore Many days of happiness instead Too many happy feelings to explain No more hiding the pain Don’t let life eat you We do understand Stop bullying we shout Pain no more
My Colorful Personality By Eva Sturis I can best be described as a raspberry red. Subtle and calm, but powerful when needed. I am dull some day, but bold the next. I can give headaches but I can still influence your moods. Other days I am a pure sunny orange. Vibrant and alive, but a little spunky here and there. I can be bright and in your face, But I can also brighten up your day after the rain. I am charged, but tolerant most of the time. Rarely I am snowy white. I can hurt like frostbite, but I am still insecure. I cover people way too often, But that is just my compassion. I can fall lightly and melt away, Or I can fall hard and forever stay.
Acceptance Letter Evelyn Huntington I look down at the envelope in my hand How much weight it has I can feel it pulling me I can feel the power Coming off of it I’m itching to open it I’m itching to throw it I slide my finger through the Opening I inch my finger slowly Breaking the seal I see the letter Peaking out at me Challenging me Taunting me I gently pull the letter out But don’t dare to open it I feel the sting of tears Undecided Tears that don’t know whether To dance down my face Joyful Of to slide Slowly and mournfully The letter falls Open and the tears come Dancing down my face
Ode to Sleep By Jonathan Miklos As I soundly sleep I am rudely awakened There just isn’t enough to go around I just want to lie back down And be out like a rock When I’m unconscious Sleep is heaven And my pillow comforts me The sweet relief That is sleep
I yearn for it With every waking moment
I need to appreciate what they have given me Because they are my family.
Color poem Isaak Iverson Some of the time I am a royal blue I am calm and forgotten, not caring what is going on around me Carefree and thoughtful, not worrying about what is happening in life and enjoying life as it happens I am distant and optimistic, like everything in the world around me doesn’t even exist At other times I am more of a tangerine orange Thoughtful and powerful, like I can do anything that I want in a moments notice I am content and peaceful, being very quiet and not making a sound At other times I can be more fired up and wild, not caring what other people think and enjoying what I am doing no matter what or why I am doing something This is me
My Family By Kenneth Ryback All I want to do is impress my family But it seems they want so much of me All they want is the best But it is hard when I can’t get dressed I sit around and play games all day They told me for that I’ll have to pay I was too stuck up to listen But no one liked me not even the talking kitten I wish they could be proud But I am way too loud A son should act I should know how to act Like a brotherly pact

Found Poem By Shali Schaeffer Waves were seeping into my skin, Thorns that stabbed my frightened eyes, Enough to separate a universe. Never strong enough, Silently screaming, Murdered dreams. And to all their deaths. Thousands of thousands. Eight hundred and fifty thousand But now I understand, They weren’t numbers, They were people. Majdanek.
WrestlIng By: Brandon Sharkey Shoulder straps up, head gear on Check in at front table, Put my foot on the line Ref blows the whistle and we are off like a rocket I knew he would be tough and maybe a bit rough But I knew I could do it, and no one could stop me I hit my fireman carry 2! Takedown I threw the whip And there I found him on his back I was so into the match that I couldn’t hear the crowd at all
I heard the whistle blow and the ref slap the mat Stood up, and threw my fists into the air yelling with excitement I look into the parent section and found my grandparents Smiled the biggest and shared the moment with my teamates Everything I trained for all year long My dream came true I won a match under the lights in my home gym Winning one of the biggest duels at home Home sweet home.
Beneath the Surface By Reagan Larson Swimming in water, the temperature’s fine It’s cool, it’s fresh, your life is in line You don’t pay attention, why would you need? “Nothing terrible could happen to me” But you’ve got to be careful, life’s not all just fun You slip, you fall, one mistake, you’re done And there are things that prowl the deep Things the lifeguard can’t always see When all of a sudden something grabs your leg And pulls you very deep, enough said? You struggle and struggle, you can’t win this fight You’ve got to breathe, you try with all might Your throat is like fire, your lungs scream for air You pray, “Lord, let my life be spared” When suddenly you’re released, you float in the water Something takes your arm and pulls you up, you need to struggle no longer Get into my boat, I’ll keep you safe Be careful, the water’s a dangerous place

Color Poem BY: Zane Salley
A lot of the time I am steel
Emerald green is a color that describes me Not sad but not really happy Hopeful, inspired to keep trying Protective, I hate losing things I like. Another color would be lemon yellow Carefree, having fun with my friends Alive, just living life to the fullest Charged, ready to take on what comes at me. Last but not least crimson red Annoyed, anything and everything is annoying Explosive, don’t push me to hard or I burst Heavy hearted, not caring about other people at that moment.

Gymnastics! By: Grace Wick It’s like flying without wings, But we do our own thing, We eat, Breathe, And sleep in chalk, We fly, Not walk, The balance beam is the devil, But we don’t care, We defeat gravity, By flying through air, Leotards are our fashion, Gymnastics is our passion.

The trees brushing off the wind like a broom sweeping up the dirt, The ever increasing or decreasing balance of the forest, Of what the elements of it cannot understand, But when instinct takes over, The natural essence of life.
Forests
By Benjamin Titus The gentle swaths of moss, The tediousness of the trees swaying, The filtered light upon which the herbs absorb, The humming of the bees and their honeysucking nods, The bewildering sounds of a forest. Deer wandering throughout the elegantly balanced set, Birds chirping and fluttering beyond, And ever echoing before you and above and behind. The quiet splashes onto a soft sandy shore, To which the lake compliments itself again and again and again, Never ceasing. The lake is enveloped by the countless trees, The very little shrubs that are at the base of the towering trees, If the bushes are pets and the trees are people. Colors of Me By Chris Bradshaw The color of me would be Emerald I’m so bright not many things can bring me down I’m like a gem you won’t see many of me I can be many shapes it’s just how I’m made People seem to love me for what I am Another side of me would be a Peacock blue I’m like the color of a storm I can be angry I can be sad But in the end it always ends well I don’t normally hurt anybody I never mean to That’s when I’m white Like a piece of glass I hope people see right through me I’m not even here just another blank spot Then that’s when I shine when people don’t expect me I am circle of color that never ends
Metaphor poem By Jayden Smith I am a saxophone who could not stop playing just like I can’t stop talking, I can play soft and graceful just like I’m kind, I can play loud and fierce because I can be mean, I love to play Christian songs because I believe in god, Sometimes I can’t play because I am stubborn, I love to play just like I love my family, I play fast just like I am active, But sometimes I play slow because I am tired, I play good because my parents say I’m a good kid, I am shiny like my brass cause I stand out, Sometimes I sit in my case cause I am asleep, But I look good because I am handsome.
BaseBall By: Dawson Penticoff The intensity of waiting to see if the ball will be hit to you in the infield And when its hit, you hop and it turns out it didn’t come to you But you still have to back up the base it’s going to be thrown to So you sprint over to second base and back up the throw There trying to turn a double play but, it’s an over throw So you leap as high as you can to catch it so it’s not an over throw You get as high as you can then come shooting straight back down You feel your soft glove to see if the ball is in there It is so you get it out of your glove
You throw it to first base because there’s not enough time to turn the double play The ball goes flying out of your hand as fast as a cheetah The first base man catches the mean ball The entire team looks at the first base umpire OUT!!
Found By Kelson Wray Majdaneck, A place where crematoriums and gas chambers, People die by poison and mal nutrition, Majdaneck a concentration camp in Poland, Ash from the prisoners is the only ruminants of Jews, Barracks are filled with shoes from the Jews, who were there, When they died they there bodies went to be cremated, Death is all around, Dirty water and disgusting food on the ground, As I leave I think about how the inhabitants of Majdaneck wish they could do what I do, leave.
I AM DISNEY Maddie Quinn Sometimes I’m Nemo, defiant but lost Sometimes I’m Simba, adventurous and proud I’m also Woody, knowing friends are the best But sometimes I am Eeyore, quiet and gloomy Sometimes I am Tigger, happy and loud I’m almost always Dory, not knowing up from down Rarely I’m Pinocchio, wanting to be someone I’m not I can also be Snow White, tender and caring I can be Ariel, wanting to find a world that’s not my own
I’m also Cinderella, getting stuck with all the chores I like to be Hercules, strong and brave Usually though I’m the beautiful rose from Beauty and the Beast Pretty on the outside, but you pick on me and you’re going to get the thorns.

I Am Animals
By: Jennah Weber I am a koala, Climbing slower than ever, Taking my time to get to my destination.
And some days I am a cheetah, Running fast in the wild, Unstoppable. I am a butterfly, Flying free in the world, Letting nothing get in my way. I am a wolf, Vicious and untamable, Sprinting through the woods going nowhere. I am a cat, Laying in the sun, Unable to move for hours. I am a panda bear, Eating bamboo all day, Not caring about anything else. I am a fish, In the water relaxing, As the sun shines down on me. I am a dog, Playful and caring, I’m always around, But come when I’m needed.

Color Poem By: Jennifer Estenson In my head I know I’m white. Just an illusion to everyone who looks. I’m an empty page to the mind. The truth, I’m a reflection of all. I also see myself as ebony. Guilt gives a darkness alone. A hostile darkness that takes everything. It chews up my courage and spits it back at me. It’s not always bad. Somedays I take in the violet purple I radiate. My smile and competent attitude to move forward.
My serene mood when I’m rested and happy. My family sees me as a sparkling topaz. A crazed balance of color. Wild, irrational, and rebellious. I stay withdrawn and thoughtful. A fired up attitude ready to pop. At times I burn a crimson red. A temper that’s hard to hold back. It gets the best of me at times. My brain goes on over drive, fueling my anger. I also see my rosey pink. My inablity to even walk straight. The embarassing flush of color in my cheeks. I even see the very special way I trip over nothing.
I am the pack By Kolbie Wagner I am a wolf, Forever strong, but has a pack for support. I am the alpha A leader Always making decisions. I am the omega Un-liked And underestimated. I am a rogue All alone And independent.
I am the beta Always 2nd But still important. I am the Luna Taking care of the pack. I am the pack.
Sunsets
By Tyler Jade Sitzes On the top of the hill, I see the sun. Shining bright like a star. I lie underneath the warm sun. Watch as it slowly rises. I sit next to him. My arms laced in his. I close my eyes, I feel the warmth on my face. I feel the grass on my neck and arms. The smell of red roses floating in the warm summer air. When I wake, It is not warm. There is not one person. Just me, In my bed, With the sun light in my window, Licking at my face.
I am Colorful By Nevaeh Walks One moment my life is snowy white Innocent, shy, never talking to anyone Too scared to say what I feel Thinking someone might judge me Not knowing there are nice people out there But you can’t judge a book if you don’t know its story Then pitch black the next Barging through people in the hallways like no one is there Calling people really bad names
Not knowing that I did Hitting people for no reason Trapped in a bubble of people yelling at me When I finally sit down I’m grey Regretting everything I did Trying not to cry my head off Then a sudden wave of depression and stress hit hard Lying there wishing it never happened Realizing that it did Pink is my favorite time of day It’s my fun time It’s when I love to make jokes and laugh It’s amazing what laughter can do to me And for a minute I forget what all happened Then I think about it, it wasn’t over That’s when I turn yellow Determined to find all the people I hurt Hoping I can find the guts to apologize I wonder if they know how sorry I am Or what I’m going through Blue is the last color of my day Calm and relaxed Forgetting about everything that happened Then I close my eyes and dream It might get better after that But it doesn’t
Physics By Hunter Hahn Physics Physics It is a world within a world A universe about a universe Light flowing like waves But also shooting like a bullet Red, blue, green
The spectrum of light With sound Somehow being such a mystery Yet we hear it everyday And the theory of relativity Stopping us from going to fast But is it really that Or is there something else For us to discover Right around the corner But back to light With such a wonder Do we really know what it is With someone Every so often Comes along Makes a theory And changes our lives For better For worse We don't know But maybe we will Is there an end Or are we just beginning With branches and branches One from another Going on and on Until we might find some break.
Wrestling By Spencer Stockman Head gear snaps Foot on the line Whistle tweating Pound of the double leg slam The sweat tickling me as it runs down my face The sweaty mat smell creaps up my nose Flashing cameras Cheering crowds His shoulder getting pulled down flat by the mat And the slap is like music singing to my ears My hand getting raised Hugs and congrats from everyone

Metaphor poem Tennis By Tatum Olson My heart is Where you can’t play in the rain Six hour days Teaching kids how to play Annoying spandex Holding back to not run and jump in the pool Short shorts and tank tops Everything blue Big heavy bags Loud music The best times Waiting on thunderstorms Tennis shoes To the tennis balls jumping back and forth My heart is where the tennis court lays
By: Trevaun Myers I am like a football I get tossed around sometimes. But in the end I get to go in for the touch down! Or in the field goal then that’s another point on the scorebaord but when I’m in the hands of a safe quarterback then that’s when the rush starts to kick in. Then I do good getting caught. But I’m what I’m trying to say is when life knocks you down try to get back up

Camping Trevor Mason Fresh killed squirrel on the grill Campfire smoke rising Sleeping under the stars Feel the breeze coming through the trees Howling of coyotes Fish splashing in the creek Look up stars winking at me Moon providing perfect light The soft hoot of an owl
Crowd roaring I drive down the lane Breaking ankles all day Jump towards the net As the net laughs at me Time feels as if it stopped The crowd gets louder My heart beats harder I hear that swoosh of the net Running down the court The smell of sweat And hard work

December Weather By Zach Milawski It is bright like a light bulb Swirling snow is a gritty sandstorm Frost clinging to anything Ice dangling from roofing Just like glass Sun here and there But not for long Icy water crawling along the road Icicles freezing like stalactites to over hangs Trees get coated with snow Snow slowing the birds down Snow melts and forms again People falling on the ground Some people just stay home Others enjoy frolicking in the snow All and all people enjoy the weather

Jasmyne Harris
Color poem Mato Abourezk Most of the time I am apple green Soft light hearted but sometimes sour Always cheering people up Filling people with joy and laughter Always confident in myself and others Loving everything about the world Some days I am brown Alive but drained Frustrated and sorry Bringing friends down Cheerful again and there go the frowns Other days I am orange Zoned in and zoned out Relaxed and carefree From everything Quiet and silent Not listening to anything Kicked backed Relaxed from everything
Color poem Cody Bevier Orange describes one side of me Fired up, I jolt with my head always up Impatient, like a tiger getting ready to kill its prey Proud, to live and inspire Powerful and respected, nothing will bring me down Generous and thoughtful, always full of hope The other side of me is blue Relaxed and peaceful, like hearing the birds chirp Gentle like a blue jay Worried and nervous, for how much I care Tired and exhausted, from every step I take Heavy hearted, don’t listen to jerks
The crowd cheering I’m standing on the court for the next serve The server hits the ball over It shouts to me for a hit I jump up for a spike It’s going down for a point The spike turns to an attack The crowd jumps up and cheers We won the game For volleyball is my life

April By: Kierra Horan She lights up the world like a sun No she is not a month She is an angel, one from above She was put on earth for only one reason To show people what life is about, She had the deadliest cancer, But she never showed it hurt Ten years through suffering, but she never cared That’s all she was here for, To bring out the good of people April touched everyone’s heart She would never allow you to whine Because you had no reason to do such a thing The day he took her was the worst Everyone got together, all in that tiny church All 695 people, plus another 200 to 300 outside Maybe even more who couldn’t make it that day Even though we were all sad We had to be strong, She taught us to be like that She changed my forever, I fight with anxiety, every day of my life, Anything close to death, I would have severe panic attacks But that day she was with me I got up and talked about her Like if she were never gone All the good, there was never bad For the first time ever I saw my dad cry I touched everyone’s heart, like April did It was recorded and put on the web, I hope everyone saw it, and touched their hearts to I hope they saw, April was right there Right next me, telling everyone She will watch over us forever

Summer Time By Sam Tidemann Early mornings, Wake up with excitement, Warm weather greeting me as I walk outside, Another great day with no school, With all friends, Going to the lake, Jumping off cliffs, Riding the jet ski, Crazy tube rides while the waves try and throw me off, Hanging out on the beach, that has sand that is cooking my feet, The hot sun drying you in minutes, Going back to the cabin, A long night under the bright stars, Lots of laughter and fun, And finally falling asleep after a great summer day.
Found Poem
By: Renee Freeman Stepped out of a gas chamber I became a different person I saw the blue stains of zyklon B streaking the ceilings and walls Kids were crying hysterically The people in the city would have to be dead not to notice the death Which struck daily The sky a leaden weight blocking the colors that grace free life I could not feel But in that room filled with shoes Each shoe is different A different size and shape Each pair walked a path all its own Thousands and thousands of shoes Each pair different Each pair silently screaming someone’s murdered dreams It seemed as if every shoe there was my shoe My feet clomped on the wooden platform as I left Corpses were burned Ovens shaped to fit a person

Colors of Me By: McKenzie Medley In the winter I am a creamy white I start the day smooth and sort of float along If I am mixed with any other color of mood I immediately become what I was mixed with Spring turns me coral pink Full of care and spirit Loving life in every way possible I rarely think of myself Summer brings me to the color of lavender Filled with love and cravings for adventure I can also stay quiet when I feel content I am usually lighthearted and misunderstood Fall I turn a smoky rose Rebellious and explosive Alone and helpless Unsafe and restless No matter my color though I will always be completely me

Color Poem By-Mariah Vanderlaan You can describe part of me yellow Bright and outgoing Cheering up others Always having a smile on my face Other times you can call me a black Feeling tired and depressed Where everyone can make me mad Messing up everything and feeling like crap When I’m lost and distant Then there are days when I’m aqua Carefree and delighted I feel confident and capable Thoughtful and caring to others The best of me is lavender When I am calm and relaxed Hopeful and cheerful Being myself and not letting others get to me I will never lose hope
