A�er the background research, we went to some main a�rac�ons in Lychiwan Scenic Area.

To be�er understand the problems and find a solu�on, we spent one week on on-spot observa�ons.

Lychewan is Xiguan of guangzhou in the past, with typical architectural style, life style, Xiguan culture, and Cantonese Opera culture of old Guangzhou. There are now 13 scenic spots in the Area, they are representa�ve of old Guangzhou culture.

The Guangzhou government is commi�ed to developing cultural tourism in the Area, but the scenic area is visited by more local residents than tourists, and many people do not know about Xiguan culture.

The attraction of Lychewan Area is relatively low. And few tourists know about the related culture, even after visiting.

We spent a day walking around a lot of places in the scenic area. We were not clear about the distribution of scenic spots, which led to a lot of detours. We were very �red and forgot the places we had been to. And not sure where to go next a�er visi�ng a des�na�on.

Conclusion - Thematic AR with Character A�er interview, we find People have a high acceptance of AR, and there are three typical celebrities: Li Xiaolong, Zhan Tianyou, Hong Xiannv. Three typical route themes: Xiguan Architectural culture, Xiguan lifestyle culture, Cantonese opera culture.

Zhan had many achievements in engineering. He was interested in xiguan architecture. The se�ng here is Zhan’s one day, a�er class at Renwei Temple, he walked home and admired the surrounding buildings.

Li went to the US when he was young. The se�ng here is: he comes back to visit his father, understands and feels Xiguan culture as well.

Hong grew up here, a�er making achievements, she came back to promote Cantonese opera culture. The se�ng is Hong's one day - she's Miss Xiguan. She gets up in xiguan house, then goes to Bahe Hall by water to rehearse.

In 2019, I went to Jiangmen city, Guangdong Province to support teaching. During this process, I met a special group, left-behind children. Their parents are absent in their daily lives.

To know more details about the le�-behind children from the four perspec�ves men�oned before, I interviewed three teachers.
