The cause of much irritation in the summer months, flies can be effectively kept away from your horse using barrier methods, such as fly rugs and masks. Not only do they greatly reduce the aggravation by keeping the flies off your horse, and thereby reducing the risk of sweet-itch, they can also help your horse stay more comfortable in the sun and protect against sun bleaching.

9434C Performance Maxi-Flow Performance The Performance Maxi-Flow is an ideal rug for all round summer protection. The top section provides waterproof cover from light rain showers and shields the horse from harmful UV radiation and sun bleaching while the lower mesh section keeps the horse cool, dries quickly and blocks biting insects. The 600 denier ShireTex® upper is ripstop, waterproof and breathable and the lower section is made from fast drying maxi-flow mesh to protect against fly annoyance and encourage air flow. This highly functional fly rug benefits from a seamless neck cover which fastens with touch close straps, and a generous belly flap for maximum coverage, adjustable on both sides. Buckled twin chest straps, shoulder gussets, integrated leg strap loops, fillet strap and a large tail flap complete the rug.

9321 Sweet-Itch Combo Shires' complete protection against sweet-itch. Creating a barrier to biting insects is one of the first defences against sweet-itch. This lightweight, breathable rug features a grazing-friendly hood and super large tail flap to help keep the body, neck and poll covered at all times from biting insects.

The fabric also helps protect the horse from sun bleaching, dust and dirt making it an excellent all round summer rug. Ripstop polyester 600 denier fabric will resist field wear and tear whilst still being soft. Additional features include a stretch ear panel, anti-rub lining to the neck, chest and shoulders for comfort, deep shoulder gussets, belly flap with three surcingle straps adjustable on both sides, adjustable fillet strap and integrated leg strap loops.
