Country rockers Pure Prairie League (PPL) are known for their hit song “Amie” – perhaps the most beloved country rock song of all time – and “Two Lane Highway,” “Let Me Love You Tonight,” and “Falling In and Out of Love.” With nine straight albums that made the Billboard charts, PPL is considered one of the leading bands of the country rock movement. Small Island Big Song MARCH 25 | 7:00 PM $25 | $15 (17 and under) A moving live concert experience combining music, dance, spoken word, and stunning projections to showcase unique oceanic grooves and soulful island ballads, while shining a light on the devastating effects of global warming on islands in the Pacific and Indian oceans. Framed against panoramic visuals, indigenous artists highlight a shared seafaring ancestry with interconnected musical traditions. These unique lineages mixed with their diverse contemporary styles—roots-reggae, beats, folk, and spokenword—establish a contemporary musical dialogue between cultures as far afield as Madagascar, Taiwan, Mauritius, Papua New Guinea, Tahiti, and Rapa Nui. Billboard describes Small Island Big Song as “one coherent jaw-dropping piece that is likely the first time these traditional instruments have been mixed together. The result is breathtaking.”

It’s one hot night as Benise, “The Prince of Spanish Guitar,” and his Emmy Award winning production come to town as part of his global tour. Armed with his Spanish guitar, Benise will take the audience on an unprecedented and epic adventure through Spanish Flamenco, Cuban Salsa, Brazilian Samba, Parisian Waltz, exotic drumming, and more!

FIESTA! showcases songs from Benise’s seventh PBS special. Performing classic rock anthems from Led Zeppelin and AC/DC and fusing them with Spanish guitar and dance to bring a fierce intensity to these new interpretations. The Guess Who JUNE 1 | 7:30 PM $69 | $59 | $49 | $39 The Guess Who is a legendary Canadian band who enjoyed chart topping hits in the late 60s and early 70s with an impressive catalogue of songs including “American Woman,” “These Eyes,” and “No Time.” During the course of its career, the band has released 11 studio albums, and charted 14 Top 40 hit singles, two of which went to number one in the United States.

The Guess Who is best known internationally for its 1970 album, American Woman, which hit number one in Canada and number nine in the United States, with five other albums also hitting the top ten in Canada. Their fan base spans multiple generations. Very few bands have survived numerous member changes — let alone having smash hits with each lineup — but The Guess Who’s motto is “the music is the message.”

A $5 per ticket service charge is applied to each ticket purchased online or by phone, and is non-refundable whether the show is canceled or postponed. *A $35 service charge will be imposed on each returned check in addition to any charges that may be assessed by the financial institution. Luhrs Center also requires that the check writer pay the amount due with cash, certified check, or money order.

Ticket Policies CHILDREN All children are required to hold tickets for performances and must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or guardian in all areas of the Luhrs Center.

EXCHANGES AND REFUNDS All ticket sales are final. No refunds or exchanges will be given under any circumstance unless an event is canceled or rescheduled. Internet fees and mailing fees are not refundable under any circumstances. You can purchase tickets in person at the Luhrs Center box office to avoid service charges. Luhrs Center does not rate performer content unless the performer informs Luhrs Center that the performance may not be suitable for all age groups. Luhrs Center strongly urges ticket buyers to be informed about the performances for which they are purchasing tickets. Performer content is not a reason for a ticket exchange or refund.

CANCELED OR RESCHEDULED EVENTS If an event is canceled or rescheduled, the Luhrs Center box office will contact ticket purchasers via letter, e-mail, or phone as soon as the cancellation/postponement is announced with information about ticket refund/exchange options. If an event is canceled, ticket purchasers will be refunded the amount of the tickets; however, Luhrs Center does not refund the handling/mailing/service charges related to ticket purchases.

Inclement weather is not cause for a refund or exchange unless the performance is canceled or postponed. Cancellation or postponement notices will be posted on luhrscenter.com.
