What is SIAA ?

The Society of Industrial Technology for Antimicrobial Articles was founded in Japan in 1998 with the goal of popularizing safe and appropriate antimicrobial products.

SIAA mark which was made by the Society certifies the quality and Safety of the antimicrobial product, being an internationally recognized mark.

Products satisfied with following 3 standards can be marked SIAA mark. ( Except fabric products. For fabric products, SEK mark will be applied.)

3 Safety Standards of SIAA Mark To compare with the surface of non-antibacterial product, the bacterial growth ratio is under one hundredth, and it has to be maintain the anti-bacteria effect after the durability test.

SIAA followed by the publication of an international standard ISO 22169

SIAA is satisfied with the safety regulation which is determined by the Society.

Indicating clearly the type of anti-bacterial material and the part of the anti-bacterial coating.

The organization has been engaged in variety of activities worldwide to promote anti-microbial safety and awareness. With the support of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, the SIAA, of which Aegis is also a member, submitted an international proposal for an antimicrobial testing method. This proposal was recognized by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and approved as ISO 22196 in September 2007.
