Sound Engineering Video Production

This course is designed to help develop practical and creative sound engineering and production skillsenabling students to use computer based Digital Audio Workstations to record live music and mix audio.

Students will use a variety of equipment and techniques to create multi-track recordings and stereo mixes to a professional standard. An element of live performance is included, although the ability to play an instrument or sing is not a requirement.

This course is designed to help you develop the knowledge required to plan, produce and evaluate a video production (e.g. music videos, short dramatic films and/or documentaries).

The course introduces students to a wide range of technical and creative skills in video development and production.

Students will also be building on transferrable skills such as research techniques, creative problem solving, group work, critical thinking and project evaluation.
