Learning STEM these days are critical for our children to be prepared for the future. Chasewood Learning has developed a fully online STEM remote learning course that will allow your child to have scheduled online classes with an instructor using materials found around the home. We schedule classes that are convenient for you and we will have up to 5 children per cohort. This is a proven curriculum used today at many private school and homeschool environments. Prepare your children for the future! In this exciting class, children learn programming essentials using today’s leading edge teaching software. Chasewood's multilevel curriculum starts with children learning the basics of programming, leading them to building their own interactive stories and games. The class encourages systematic reasoning, creativity and helps them to work collaboratively. Since this class is a multilevel program where children are placed based on skill and experience, students can repeat this class as they start where they left off from the last class. Restoration Days Ages 6+ Saturday, October 10 9:00-11:00A The Warrenville Park District needs your help! Come join us as we continue our restoration of the Ferry Creek Wetland at Summerlakes Park. Participants will learn how to identify, and remove invasive species, plant and collect seed. Help us turn this wetland into a premier outdoor classroom! Tools will be provided, but please dress for weather. Please register ahead. Location: Summerlakes Park

Boredom Buster Bags Each bag will include 5 crafts, 3 activities, 2 learning activities, a link to a pre-recorded story time, coloring pages and a snack. Bags are designed for ages 3-8, but all are welcome to register. Please enter your preferred curbside pick-up time at registration: 9:30-10:30A or 4:30-5:30P. Youth Athletic Leagues Youth Floor Hockey League Grades 1-6 Floor Hockey Intra-Squad scrimmages will consist of three, twelve minute periods in a 4v4 format (including goalie). Requests for teams, players, coaches, are not guaranteed. Volunteer coaches are always welcomed and needed. Anyone interested in coaching should contact the park district at 630.393.7279. Teams will have the option to practice up to once a week if they desire. A park district team t-shirt is included in the registration fee.

Each player will be required to bring and wear his or her own shinguards and provide their own googles. Park District hockey sticks will be provided and used by all players. Girls Inter-District Basketball League Grades 7-8 Play games against teams from a number of area park districts on Saturdays and/or Sundays, with weekly evening practices. Actual game and practice times are scheduled once the teams are formed. Practices will begin the week of November 9th. Volunteer coaches are always welcomed! Anyone interested in coaching should contact the park district at 630.393.7279. All volunteer head and assistant coaches must attend a mandatory coaches meeting at the Warrenville Park District Recreation Center conference room (date and time TBD). Player assessment to divide teams will be set-up prior to first practice if necessary. Youth Athletic Classes SNAG Golf Ages 5-10 The Warrenville Park District has partnered with the Kids Golf Foundation to offer beginner golf clinics utilizing SNAG equipment. SNAG stands for Starting New At Golf and is great for teaching the basic fundamentals of the game. The equipment consists of oversized clubs, Velcro targets, and tennis-like golf balls. During this clinic, participants will learn the basic fundamentals along with the life skills that accompany the sport.

Participants must complete the Beginner class prior to enrolling into the Intermediate/Advanced class. Basketball To The Next Level Grades K-4 TTNL will take your child’s game To The Next Level by focusing on and learning the basic fundamentals of the sport. TTNL and their staff will work with your child on their ball handling, passing, shooting, and defensive skills to elevate their individual game while still teaching how to play and work together as part of a team. Cyclones Youth Volleyball Grades 3-6 With its unique combination of drills, competition and instruction, this program focuses on breaking volleyball down into different skill stations. These stations offer the most effective way to capitalize on skills, knowledge, drills and techniques. This program helps your child learn to follow instructions while developing their overall fitness and motor skills with challenging activities on gymnastics equipment. Our instructors follow a weekly curriculum to ensure each child is learning at his/her pace. Children who have participated in movement education activities have longer attention spans, increases communication skills, general problem solving skills and improves self-esteem.

Early Childhood NEW! Zoom Spanish Class for Kids

NEW! Mary's Boo Party Ages 2 1/2 - 5

Zoom Spanish Classes for Kids – Live NEW!!! Join us right from your living room as we explore new cultures and learn the Spanish language via the interactive Zoom platform! Younger children will learn conversational Spanish through fun and interactive activities and music while older children will also learn some Spanish phonetics to begin reading and writing in Spanish. Taught live by a Language in Action, Inc. instructor. Zoom login information will be emailed to participants before the first class.

Parent Child Fun Express Ages 2 1/2 - 5 Explore the joy of music with your little one together in a unique, creative hands on class. The class will start with a story, then move into an activity from the themed book including music, creative crafts, exploring nature, but most of all enjoying the morning together on the Fun Express! • Registrations are processed at the Park District Recreation Center at 3 S 260 Warren Avenue.

• Registration is required 7 days prior to start of class to avoid cancellation of program unless otherwise noted.

• Your check is your receipt. If you wish a class confirmation, please include a self addressed stamped envelope.

• There is a $25 service fee for checks returned for insufficient funds or credit card declines.

• When registering in person by credit card, the card holder must be present for signature.

• Registrations are not accepted by an instructor.

• Registration accepted for accounts in good standing.

• Payment is required and will be retained if you wish to be kept on a waiting list. If space does not open up in the program, your payment will be automatically refunded.
