2 cloves garlic, crushed
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
1⁄4 cup olive oil
Salt and pepper
2 cups shredded cooked chicken
2 cups cooked green beans, cut into 2-inch lengths
6 small new potatoes, cooked and sliced
1 small red bell pepper, cut into strips
1 small red onion, thinly sliced
2 cups sliced celery
3⁄4 cup black olives
Romaine lettuce, torn into bitesized pieces
3 hard-cooked eggs, quartered
4 tomatoes, cut into wedges
1. Garlic dressing: In a small bowl, whisk together garlic, mustard and lemon juice. Gradually whisk in oil. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Set aside.
2. In a large bowl, combine chicken, beans, potatoes, red pepper, onion, celery, and olives.
3. Pour dressing over chicken mixture and gently toss to coat.

Salt
2 to 3 cups fresh basil leaves of any type (2 to 3 ounces — a nice big bunch)
2 cups heavy (whipping) cream or half-and-half 4 tablespoons butter Black pepper
1. Place the potatoes in a saucepan and fill with water to cover. Add a big pinch of salt. Bring to a boil and cook, covered, for about 10 minutes, or until the potatoes are just tender. Drain, return to the heat and shake for a few minutes to dry them out; turn off the heat, cover the pan and keep warm.
2. Meanwhile, blanch the basil. Plunge it into a saucepan of boiling water, cook a moment or two until the leaves wilt and slightly change color and lift out of the pot using a slotted spoon, then plunge into a bowl of ice water. Leave for about five minutes or until it turns brightly colored, then lift from the ice water.
3. Heat the cream in a saucepan until bubbles form around the edge of the pan.
4. Squeeze the basil in your hands gently to rid it of excess water from cooking. Place in a food processor and whirl to purée. Slowly pour the hot cream into this puréed basil and whirl until it forms a fragrant, pale green cream.
5. Coarsely mash the potatoes with a masher, then add the basil cream and mash it in; work in the butter, and season to taste with salt and pepper. If you’re serving duck or lamb, serve the potatoes with a drizzle of the port reduction around the edge.

Exercise ideas for busy women
Physical activity is important for personal health. However, many women do not get the recommended levels of exercise. Health. gov says evidence shows physical activity has immediate health benefits, such as reducing anxiety and blood pressure.
That is just one reason why adults should aspire to get between 150 and 300 minutes of moderateintensity aerobic activity each week. Such activities should be paired with muscle-strengthening activities at least two days a week, according to the Move your Way® program.
Busy women may argue that they simply do not
have enough time to exercise. Parental responsibilities, work obligations, long commutes, and school can get in the way of exercise. However, if people study their days, there’s likely plenty of ways to incorporate exercise into the busiest of schedules without making large changes.
• Take the stairs. Skipping the escalator or elevator and taking the stairs doesn’t require much
time, but pays great dividends for your overall health. It guarantees a mini-workout each day, particularly if you work in an multistory office building or home. Take the stairs whenever possible.
• Walk more. Walking requires no specialized equipment and is good for the body. Instead of
sending that email to a coworker, get up and walk to his desk. Rather than hopping in the car to go to the store up the street, put on your sneakers and walk there. If you drive to a store or appointment, park the car far away from the entrance and walk further to get to and from the door.
• Change your perception of exercise. Physical activity need not be limited to the gym or running around the neighborhood.
Exercise can involve a half-hour dance session with the kids or walking around the park with the dog. When you make exercise about fun activities, you may be more inclined to do it regularly.
• Carry those shopping bags. Certain states around the country have banned single-use plastic shopping bags in certain stores. This means shoppers have to bring in their own reusable totes. Use this to your advantage by passing up the shopping cart and filling the totes with items, lifting and flexing your arms as you go. It’s a small strength workout every time you shop.
• Exercise while sitting. You can fit in a little exercise even if you’re chilling
out watching a movie or doing your remote work in your home office. Keep a lightweight dumbbell nearby and do a few bicep and triceps curls.
