Construction has begun on our first Single mom Tri-Plex!
The Sheridan House Single MOMS Ministry started back in 1992 with the distribution of a few dented cans to a handful of single moms in need. It has definitely grown over the years. Those few dented cans have miraculously turned into the opportunity for Sheridan House to serve a total of 3,603 single moms and their children in 2016! Whether the need is physical, spiritual, emotional or financial, we are committed to helping today’s widows and orphans. In an effort to better meet the needs of single moms in today’s very busy world, our single moms ministry offers individualized and intensive training in finances, parenting, resume preparation and interviewing skills, meal planning on a budget, dress for success and more. Our goal is to equip single moms with the training and knowledge necessary to succeed in life. Rather than simply supplying a “hand out,” we offer our single moms a “hand up.”
Currently there are 2,278 Sheridan House Family Values license plates on the road. Our goal is 10,000 cars! When we get to 10,000 cars, the proceeds from the Family Values tag will completely fund one of our children’s homes! The annual use fee for the Family Values tag is $25.00.

If the moms are actively participating in our program and have been attending our training classes, they are invited to attend numerous special events held throughout the year. The special events include our Back-to-School event, Thanksgiving Blessings and the Christmas Toy Shoppe.

No waiting in line at a government tag agency!Bring your valid driver’s and vehicle registration along with a check for $103 made out to: FCI Insurance Agency. Or... If you do not live close to Sheridan House, go to SHFM.org/tag and follow the instructions. You will be able to complete the form and pay online.

At these special events, the moms are blessed with school supplies for their children, a full turkey dinner for Thanksgiving and brand new wrapped presents for Christmas.
