A Note From Bob -
Taking the Lead This is a classic example of Who the Leader of Sheridan House is. People are beginning to ask “When you’re no longer at Sheridan House, who is going to be the one to go out and find the things Sheridan House needs to operate?” My first response is “I’m not leaving anytime soon.” However, this month’s spotlight is the classic Sheridan House story and the real answer to this question. I had nothing to do with finding the grocery store to supply awesome groceries on a daily basis to our single moms. Like all the amazing Sheridan House stories “God brought the store to us.”
For over four decades I’ve had the privilege of watching God provide everything we need time after time. He has done it one of two ways. Either we knew we needed to help more and He provided what we needed just in time, or we didn’t know what we were supposed to be doing (like giving moms more food) and God provided in order to nudge us in His new direction. In the future, when there is a need, it will be the same “One” providing as He has done for almost fifty years. Thank you Father! Thank you for coming up with the plan to bless single moms with groceries on a daily basis; and thank you for nudging a grocery store to become the catalyst to supply the food and other items.
Hi Terri and Steve, Just wanted to say thank you again for thinking about us. My daughter was so surprised when she saw all of the produce she was able to receive from the grocery store. She also loved all of the fine cheeses; she rarely can afford to buy that sort of food for the family. The grandkids loved the hummus and crackers and I especially love the kale salad. It seems like God provided something yummy for everyone! As a proud mom of a Sheridan House graduate, I rejoice together with you in God’s wonderful provision. Have a great weekend!

Hi Pierina, Many blessings to you and your family, peace and love from our savior may be with you today and always. Of all the blessings we have this Christmas, the food donations have been the biggest one! My Christmas dinner was 95% from the donated foods from Sheridan House. I invited two single moms over and together we had a feast. Thank you so much for letting God use you to bless others.
