Father figures are so strategic in the life of a child. Michael’s journey makes this obvious. At three years old he was adopted by Beth through the ministry of 4Kids. Michael came to Sheridan House when he was twelve years old because of defiant behavior and the inability to accept Beth’s love. But that didn’t stop Beth from pulling out all stops to help her son get the help he needed.

After years of help from two different programs, God used all the training, love and discipline invested in Michael’s life. On Easter of 2016 Michael gave his life to Christ at Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale and was later baptized.

As you look at Michael’s journey you see how God used many Christian men who invested in him. The tools God used were the love of His adoptive Mom and the input of men pouring into Michael’s life. It was Steve, the housefather at Sheridan House, the youth workers at church and the pastor at Calvary. Together they were used by God to help Michael see what Christ can do in a man’s life. They were role models of Christian men. It took time and the prayers of a praying mom, but today Michael gets it!
