STEVENSONS
The main Sherfield School uniform is available from Stevensons in Reading, items marked with an asterisk (*) may only be purchased from Stevensons. Items not marked with an asterisk may be purchased anywhere or from Stevensons.

ON-SITE SECOND-HAND UNIFORM SHOP
The school has a uniform shop onsite that sells second-hand uniform and is run by parent volunteers from 'Friends of Sherfield'
This uniform shop will be open on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 8.15am until 8.45am and from 4.00pm to 4.30pm. They are also opening by appointment. Please drop us an email to uniform@sherfieldschool.co.uk to arrange a suitable time.
PLEASE NOTE
Summer uniform is worn from the beginning of the summer term until the end of the first half of the autumn term. It is optional and weatherdependent in the first half of the summer and autumn terms.
All items of school uniform and school equipment must be clearly & securely named.
Shoes must be black, polishable leather. Patent shoes, trainers, ballet styles shoes, shoes with wedge heels or exceptionally thick soles are not acceptable. Shoes that contain hidden toys or have flashing lights are not permitted Velcro shoes are essential if they are unable to tie laces
Sherfield School provides art and science overalls for the children to wear during the relevant lessons.
The photos in this document are of the uniform that must be purchased from Stevensons. Uniform that can be bought anywhere is listed but photos are not shown.

Sixth Form - Year 12 and 13
All Sixth Form students are expected to present themselves as professional, smart role models who represent the school with pride at all times.
FORMAL DRESS
Occasionally, specific days or events such as Speech Day; the Remembrance Service and Open Days will be designated as formal days when students should wear:
A matching two- or three-piece suit (skirt or trousers) in plain, dark/muted colours.
Male students must wear a Sixth Form tie (optional for female students)
-Sixth Form ties are purchasable from the Friends of Sherfield Uniform Shop on the school site for a fee of £7.50
WORKING SCHOOL DAY
A dark, muted suit jacket with a dress, matching skirt or matching suit trousers, as appropriate
Suit jackets must be worn at all times when moving around the school.
Formal collared and buttoned shirt or blouse (no polo shirts).
Optional: Plain and dark (no visible branding) v-neck jumper, that should fit smartly under a suit jacket.
Optional: Sherfield Sixth Form Tie or School Reward Tie
Coats may be worn over the jacket, but may not replace it.
Shoes - Formal, smart shoes, which must be kept clean
Make-up and jewellery should be discreet and not cause comment
Sports clothing may only be worn for sporting occasions and may not be worn during the regular working day.
‘DRESS-DOWN’ FRIDAYS
On Fridays, students are welcome to wear their own clothes. All clothes should be respectful, tasteful and appropriate for a school environment.
Gender-neutral and non-binary pupils should feel comfortable making a thoughtful, considered choice about the clothes they wear to school, within the parameters outlined above.
All pupils will have the freedom and security to dress appropriately according to their religious convictions, following an explanation and approval from the Head of Year 12 & 13.
Footwear that is not acceptable includes trainers (including dark leather trainers), sandals, sliders and open-toed shoes. Overall appearance should always be generally professional and should not cause comment.
