With four unique locations at Sherborne Boys, Sherborne Girls, Hanford Prep and Sherborne International to choose from, our venues range from classic elegance to contemporary charm, ensuring a space to suit every occasion.

We cater for 30 to 400 guests, with flexible conference and event spaces supported by on-site hospitality outlets serving excellent coffee and hot and cold refreshments.

Our two fully equipped concert venues host audiences of 100 to 300, complete with piano, staging, lighting and AV.

For a truly special occasion, our two beautiful school chapels set in unique locations and are available to alumni for wedding ceremonies, offering a meaningful and memorable setting.

1 BIG SCHOOL ROOM

SHERBORNE BOYS

The space is highly adaptable, making it ideal for drinks receptions, exhibitions, trade fairs, performances, memorials, and ceremonies. It also features a large screen, AV facilities, high ceilings, a mezzanine floor, historic features, and an elegant charm.

Up to 582 guests seated including the balcony (429 excluding), 134 for dining, and up to 436 standing (excluding balcony and risers)

2 THE MERRITT CENTRE

SHERBORNE GIRLS

The Gransden Hall forms the central focus of the building and serves as its main concert hall. It boasts superb acoustics, making it well suited to both vocal and instrumental performances. Acoustic banners provide subtle control over reverberation, while flexible seating arrangements allow the space to accommodate a variety of audience sizes and performance setups.

Up to 258 retractable seats with an extra 100 seats if needed

GREENFIELD HALL SHERBORNE INTERNATIONAL

A bright, spacious, and highly adaptable standalone venue at Sherborne International, with ample parking, onsite catering facilities, and a large screen with AV equipment. It is perfect for a wide range of events, including drinks receptions, exhibitions, discos, lunches and dinners, wedding receptions, and elegant dinner dances.

5 DINNING ROOM

At the heart of the Boys School, the Dining Room is a bright, spacious, and highly adaptable venue. It is ideal for a wide range of events, including drinks receptions, exhibitions, discos, wedding receptions, and elegant dinner dances.

POWELL THEATRE

The Powell Theatre is a well-equipped and welcoming performance space with strong ties to both the School and the wider community. It provides a versatile setting for performances, presentations, and larger gatherings.

6 STUART CENTRE

SHERBORNE GIRLS

The Stuart Centre features a versatile black box drama studio equipped with full lighting and sound, including Bluetooth speakers and TV projection. Designed for dance, the space includes adjustable black curtains and a balcony. Additional facilities include tables, stage blocks, a smaller rehearsal studio, practice rooms, a classroom, kitchenette, and staff and student toilets.

7 THE BIG BARN

SHERBORNE INTERNATIONAL

The Dining Hall, affectionately known as The Big Barn, features a fully equipped kitchen and offers a charming, characterful setting with its original beamed ceiling. It is ideal for private dinners, celebrations, workshops, and community events.

TINDALL RECITAL HALL

The Music School is a striking contemporary building designed with sustainability, comfort, and functionality in mind, featuring natural ventilation and abundant daylight. At its heart, the Tindall Recital Hall is a dramatic threestorey performance space with adaptable acoustics, movable bleacher seating, and professional lighting, making it an impressive setting for musical performances and concerts.

The Old School Room is a striking and characterful space that blends historic charm with modern comfort. Featuring beautiful panelling, large windows, original architectural details, underfloor heating, and contemporary lighting, it provides a warm and impressive setting for a range of occasions, including small wedding receptions, private lunches and dinners, pre-party drinks, meetings, and conferences.

10 THE GREAT HALL HANFORD PREP

The Great Hall is an impressive and characterful space, featuring a grand fireplace and elegant panelled walls. It provides a striking backdrop for private parties, special occasions, and themed evenings such as murder mystery events, and is well suited to both formal dining and relaxed receptions.

11 THE STABLES AND INDOOR RIDING ARENA

HANFORD SCHOOL

The traditional and much-loved stables are located adjacent to the recently refurbished indoor riding arena. With its new floor covering and upgraded surrounds, the arena offers a flexible, open space suitable for a wide range of uses during the holidays — from larger gatherings and activity sessions to exhibitions, workshops or training events.

12 THE BARN

SHERBORNE INTERNATIONAL

This small but perfectly formed barn, complete with mezzanine floor and fully fitted kitchen, lends itself to a multitude of occasions. Ideal for teambuilding sessions, a cosy relaxation room, bridal party preparation space, or small private gatherings.

13 THE FRANCIS BUILDING

SHERBORNE INTERNATIONAL

A self-contained building with ample parking, comprising two classrooms, two bathrooms, and a large open-plan room with kitchenette facilities. This versatile space is well suited to training days, meetings, and mini conferences.

14 THE WESTON BUILDING

SHERBORNE INTERNATIONAL

The main school building at Sherborne International, equipped with multiple classrooms, science laboratories, staff facilities and bathrooms. It offers everything you would expect from a well-appointed small school campus, making it suitable for larger educational programmes and structured events.

WITH ACCOMMODATION

15 KINGS HOUSE

SHERBORNE INTERNATIONAL

Originally a boarding house, Kings House now offers comfortable accommodation with 46 en-suite rooms and 4 rooms with Jack and Jill bathrooms. It provides an excellent alternative to traditional boarding houses on the main school sites and is particularly well suited to adult groups and short stays.
