There is a large team of staff in Wingfield to help support you:

Mrs Scott - Housemistress Mrs Scott lives in a house attached to Wingfield with her husband Tom - a teacher of Modern Languages at Sherborne School, her daughters Alma (11) and Edith (6), and her dog Pickle (3). Mrs Scott teaches Drama, has been living in girls’ Boarding Houses for more than 17 years and was a Housemistress for five years at a different school before arriving in Sherborne in 2019.

Mrs Spivey - Assistant Housemistress Mrs Spivey is Assistant Housemistress. She lives in the flat at the Mulliner end of the House with her husband, her three children, and her dog, Wombat. Mrs Spivey is in charge of the House when Mrs Scott is off duty. She teaches PE, and her main sport is lacrosse. Mrs Beeny and Mrs Copping - Matrons The matrons manage the dayto-day running of the House. For example, they will help you if you are unwell and make you appointments at the Health Centre if necessary. They organise train tickets and taxis when you need them, and will liaise with your parents about your travel arrangements for exeats and the end of term.

Matron also checks that your rooms are tidy every day and will help you with laundry if you need it.

Mr Clarke Non-resident Tutor (PE) Mrs Rowland Non-resident Tutor (Learning Support) Emma Warwood-Smith Non-resident Tutor (Art) Our NRTs do not live in Wingfield but help run prep and put you to bed one night each week. You will get to know them well.

Mrs Spivey, Mrs Scott, Mrs Beeny, Mr Boa Tutors Everyone is allocated a Tutor. Your Tutor will see you once a week and can come into the Boarding House and have lunch with you. They also will help you organise your school work and will answer any academic queries. They also meet regularly with Mrs Scott to discuss your progress.
