Fraternity and Sorority Life at Shepherd (FSL) provides opportunities for students to foster academic excellence, leadership development, philanthropic services, and community engagement. Our ten chapters aim for excellence in all aspects of fraternal life by promoting the core values of service, philanthropy, brotherhood/sisterhood, and leadership We are very pleased to showcase the accomplishments of these outstanding student leaders

Outstanding Panhellenic Association Member

Susan Harris, President

The Panhellenic Association is the governing body of Shepherd’s social sororities For two years Susan Harris has served as Shepherd’s Panhellenic President She is a senior Environmental Science student and a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority.

In addition to restructuring meetings and making sure Panhellenic is running properly, Susan has directed formal recruitment for social sororities and helps us get involved in really fun sisterhood events such as Galentines Day, Glow Run, and the Panhellenic Week of Fundraising.

Outstanding Shepherd Fraternity Council Member

Jake Routzhan, President

The Shepherd Fraternity Council governs Shepherd’s four social fraternities. Jake is a senior Music major and member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity who will continue to serve as SFC President next fall.

Jake’s willingness to build and improve Greek life on campus shows in the work he does One of the projects he helped start this year has been the creation of Fraternity Fridays. These are a once a month events that allow members from all SFC chapters to get together and build relationships with members from other chapters. He has also been a major part of defining what SFC stands for and the goals for the future of the organization

OUTSTANDING ALL-GREEK COUNCIL MEMBER

Olivia Gill

The All-Greek Council is the council of Presidents and representatives from all ten of Shepherd’s fraternity and sorority life chapters. This year’s outstanding member is Olivia Gill

Olivia has not only served as president of Delta Zeta but has been the programming director for the All-Greek Council and took the lead in planning Consent Week, a bystander intervention, and anti-hazing training. She also organized the first diversity, equity and inclusion workshop for Panhellenic chapters to help focus on creating welcoming sisterhoods She is a role model and universally respected

Scholarship is a cornerstone of Shepherd’s fraternity and sorority chapters This year we are proud to recognize the following students who have achieved the highest academic standard among their peers.

OUTSTANDING NEW MEMBER, PANHELLENIC ASSOCIATION

Camryn Downs, Sigma Sigma Sigma

Camryn joined Sigma Sigma Sigma in the fall. She has been an incredible asset to her chapter and a bright light As a newly initiated sister she was elected to an executive position as recruitment director which she executed incredibly well
