ALUMNI 2022 GOLF REPORT Dear SVA Alumni and Friends, The 25th annual golf event to benefit Shenandoah Valley Academy (SVA) was held on Friday, April 15, 2022 at Bryce Resort. More than $61,000 was raised toward new SVA ballfield lights. Relationships were enjoyed and celebrated. Refreshments were shared. The weather was superb and a little fine golf was played. Each year we enjoy a great day with SVA friends and make a difference for our alma mater, and it’s because of you. This year’s proceeds are a great start toward raising the funds needed to light the SVA ballfields (fields have been dark for 14+ years--time to fix that). Many thanks to all!

As you may have noticed, a few pandemic-related adjustments were still in play this year: • Second year “Mulligans-for-the-Field” sponsorship • Pre-registration and-payment negated the need for a registration table and line. We’re not going back—it was great! • 22 teams gathered at Bryce in Basye, VA on April 15; one remote team in Tennessee on April 10. • Last year we had our first Tournament level sponsor. This year six others joined Reggie Sherrill ‘66 at the Tournament level to lift Alumni Golf fundraising results to an all-time high. We’re already looking forward to seeing you next year.
