Meet Lisa Perry: Chamber Ambassador

Lisa Perry has long demonstrated a deep commitment to the mission of the Chamber. After concluding her term on the Chamber’s Board of Directors, she sought a meaningful way to remain engaged. The Ambassadors Committee offered just that—an opportunity to continue supporting the business community while fostering connections among members.

“I was looking for a way to stay involved with the Chamber when my board term ended,” Lisa shared. “The Ambassadors seemed like a fun and welcoming group.”

Since stepping into the role, Lisa has distinguished herself as a dedicated and approachable Ambassador. She is particularly enthusiastic about welcoming new members and learning more about the businesses that comprise the local economy. For Lisa, one of the most rewarding aspects of ambassadorship is the opportunity to connect people and ensure that all members—especially those new to the Chamber—feel seen, supported, and introduced to others within the network.

“Most people find it difficult to walk up to someone they don’t know and start a conversation,” she explained. “I enjoy making those introductions and helping members build relationships that can benefit their business.”

In addition to serving as an Ambassador, Lisa also chairs the Chamber’s Government Affairs Committee. In this role, she helps guide the Chamber’s advocacy efforts and ensures that the voice of local business is represented in key policy matters. Her leadership has been instrumental in fostering thoughtful dialogue between the public & private sectors.

Beyond her formal committee work, Lisa actively engages with the broader business community. She encourages professionals to show up, participate, and be present at events—even when the direct connection to their business may not be immediately obvious.

“We’re all busy, and it can be hard to attend every event or meeting,” she noted. “But I’ve made countless valuable connections through conversations that had nothing to do with my day job. And I’ve built lasting friendships as well.”

Lisa embodies the Chamber’s Three Cs: Catalyst, Convenor, and Champion. Her enthusiasm, professionalism, and unwavering support for local business make her an invaluable asset to the Chamber and the community it serves. If you are a new member looking to get involved, or simply hoping to make a few more connections, Lisa is always happy to make an introduction and help you find your place.
