Than!k you Barbara Hilton
Sewn with Care
L
ike so many from around the country, when Assisted Living staff and residents learned of the nation’s healthcare shortage of personal protective equipment (PPE), they knew that they wanted to help! Springs resident Barbara Hilton and King’s Crown Nurse Christine Thompson have always enjoyed sewing and quickly found themselves donating time and materials to be able to sew homemade
masks. As of mid-April, Barbara Hilton had already made over 350 homemade masks and isn’t stopping anytime soon! Christine has perfected the pattern even making children's masks for many of her co-workers children. “We want to express our sincere appreciation to these volunteers for their creativity in providing these additional masks to the current supply we have for our Shell Point employees,” said Christy Skinner, vice president of healthcare at Shell Point.
