Pursue Tomorrow Shellharbour Anglican College is a young school situated in the beautiful Illawarra on NSW South Coast. Close to the sea and Illawarra escarpment in an area rich in cultural heritage, stretching back thousands of years with the Wadi Wadi people living in the region. Our families come from a diverse range of backgrounds, and as the Illawarra region grows, we are excited to grow and change with our community.

As we seek to encourage students to use and develop their God-given gifts, we are pleased to offer a range of activities that cater for different interests and passions as well as develop a student’s character through participation.

Co-curricular activities are an important part of a holistic education at Shellharbour Anglican College. They provide students with the opportunity to increase their sense of connectedness with the school, build self-confidence and develop personal character. This is important for adolescents at this stage of their life as we prepare them for their future beyond school.

Message from the Principal I am thrilled that we have a broad range of Scholarship offerings for students entering into Year 7, Year 9 and Year 11 in 2026. Scholarship recipients at the College pursue opportunity; discovering their strengths, expressing their creativity and achieving their full potential.

Our students continue to benefit from our growing College as we provide greater opportunities, whether this is expanded elective choices or co-curricular programs; while maintaining the vital aspect of every student being known, cared for, challenged in their learning and offered rich opportunities to explore their world.

The thing that gets me out of bed and bouncing into school each morning is a passion to help our students thrive in the often-confusing world in which we live. Giving them a sense of hope, a capacity to be curious, creative and actively learn, be resilient, compassionate and to have a strong sense of justice are core aspects of what I value.

Building an engaging learning community and providing real life opportunities to care for our world, serve others, find solutions to the complex problems we face and celebrate beauty through the joy of creativity is what I strive for in a school. We are also part of a dynamic broader community and I am keen to see our school continue to strengthen their involvement – working with industry, the tertiary sector, the arts and building strong connections with our local indigenous community.

Our Master Planning process continues as we work to develop dynamic long-term concepts that will guide future growth and development, foster the love of learning and build stronger connectivity and community across the College. It is our desire to build flexible learning spaces with beautiful surrounds so that our students can discover the adventure of learning while at the College.

2023 HSC Top Achievers Congratulations to Year 12, 2023 for their commitment to their studies that is reflected in outstanding results.

We are proud of all students who showed resilience, hope and perseverance. We give thanks to the Lord for the blessing that the 2023 Year 12 has been to our College Community.

Demonstrating remarkable dedication, the cohort secured 26 Band 6s or E4s (or notional Band 6s) across 17 courses.

A notable 62% achieved at least one Band 5, Band 6, or E4, with numerous students reaching personal bests.

Remarkably, every student is set to embark on tertiary studies, a trade, or employment in 2023 — a testament to the school’s commitment to diverse academic interests.

Our 2023 College Dux is Kieran Harris.

2026 Scholarship Eligibility Shellharbour Anglican College is committed to providing strong academic and pastoral care foundations necessary to encourage all students to achieve personal excellence. As we seek to encourage students to use and develop their God-given gifts. In the classroom, on the stage or on the field, we provide students with exciting, interesting and challenging learning opportunities as they strive towards their personal best.

Eligibility •

Students entering Year 7 in 2026, including current Shellharbour Anglican College students.

•

Students entering Years 9 or 11 in 2026, including current Shellharbour Anglican College students.

•

All new students must have completed a Shellharbour Anglican College enrolment form and paid the application fee prior to sitting the ACER Scholarship Testing.

•

All students need to submit their Resume and a hand written letter to the Principal that outlines how they will contribute to the life of the College through Service, Leadership and Co-Curricular opportunities. Applicants may be required to be interviewed by the Principal.

•

Successful applicants for ALL Scholarships will be expected to be involved in at least TWO Co‑Curricular activities, contributing to the life of the College.

•

Scholarships will be offered on Tuition fees (excluding service charges) up to and including 80%.

The Scholarship is tenable until Year 12, subject to continuing adherance of the Scholarship Conditions.

Applications are now open for a variety of Scholarships for Years 7, 9 and 11 in the Senior School in 2026 subject to meeting the below criteria. Shellharbour Anglican College engages ACER Scholarship testing.

Scholarship applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of an Australian Permanent Resident Visa.

All Scholarship applicants must attend the testing day on Saturday 22 February 2025.

Shellharbour Anglican College Scholarships 2026

Academic Scholarships

Academic Scholarships at Shellharbour Anglican College are awarded to students who demonstrates creativity, excellence in problem solving and critical thinking, a track record of outstanding academic results and a desire to serve their community.

Written Expression (extended response, 25 minutes each) Two topics for writing will be set to allow students to use different styles of writing. They are presented as two separate tests (one in Test 1 and one in Test 4). This test is concerned with the student’s ability to express thoughts and ideas in writing.

Humanities – Comprehension and Interpretation (multiple choice, 40 minutes) This test asks students to answer questions related to written and visual material. The material may be drawn from subject areas such as English, Art, History, Geography and Social Studies. No specialist knowledge in these areas is assumed, all the information needed will be provided. Students are required to think critically and make judgements about different types of texts, including fiction, non-fiction, poetry, cartoons, diagrams and maps.

Mathematics (multiple choice, 40 minutes) This test attempts to measure mathematical and scientific abilities rather than school achievement in these areas.

The material used for the questions is selected from a wide variety of sources, and may differ from standard school‑based curriculum materials.

Music Scholarships The College Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA) program continues to grow and foster in all students an appreciation of music and performing arts.

Opportunities exist for students to realise their full potential through participation in both curricular and cocurricular music programs.

We have a vibrant music culture in both the classroom and in our co-curricular opportunities. Our offerings include, String Ensemble, Stage Band, Pop Band, Vocal Ensemble, Live DJ Performances and Showcase Music Nights.

Our cutting edge facilities include professional music studios available for student use. Specialist instrumental tutors also operate in the College through the peripatetic program and offer tuition in a variety of instruments.

Music Scholarships are available for students of Music who have been learning an instrument from a qualified music teacher and who may have been studying for music examinations. Scholarships are awarded on merit.

Shellharbour Anglican College Scholarships 2026

Students who receive a Scholarship are required to select elective Music and be involved in at least two co-curricular Music programs during their time at the College.

Auditions for Music Scholarships will be held following the ACER Scholarship Test on Saturday 22 February 2025.

The Music Audition will consist of Performance, Sight Reading Test and General Knowledge.

Please complete the Music Scholarship Application on the website AND follow the Academic Scholarship process. Applicants must sit the ACER exam and showcase evidence of current involvement in and contribution to their school and community. Applicants may be required to be interviewed by the Principal and must include their Resume and a handwritten letter to the Principal. This documentation must be submitted with the Enrolment Application.

Shellharbour Anglican College Scholarships 2026

All Rounder Scholarship This Scholarship will be offered in 2026 at Shellharbour Anglican College.

The All Rounder Scholarship will be offered to a student who can demonstrate dedication and commitment to learning and outstanding contribution in either Community Service and Citizenship, Leadership, Cultural/Performing/ Creative Arts, Sporting Involvement and Achievement, and Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). It is open to students in Years 7, 9 and 11.

A successful candidate for the All Rounder Scholarship will have proven success in a range of areas within the school (for example PE, Creative Arts, Writing). The student must have a desire to grow and learn across a number of areas.

Applicants must sit the ACER exam and showcase evidence of current involvement in and contribution to their school and community. Applicants will be interviewed by the Principal and must include their Resume and a handwritten letter to the Principal. This documentation must be submitted with the Enrolment Application.

Indigenous Scholarships This Scholarship will be offered in 2026 to support Indigenous education at Shellharbour Anglican College.

It is open to students of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background in Years 7, 9 and 11. The selection process includes sitting the ACER exam and an interview with the Principal. Applicants are expected to support the values of the school and to show evidence of how the student will benefit from an education at the College.

Applicants must sit the ACER exam and showcase evidence of current involvement in and contribution to their school and community.

Shellharbour Anglican College takes pride in engaging young Indigenous students in their own education.

By offering scholarships to the College, we hope to further develop strong relationships and collaboration with local Indigenous communities.

How to Apply 1. Have you completed an ACER Scholarship Test Application?

It is important that you enrol for the Scholarship program with ACER. Applications Close: Sunday 2 February 2025.

A Scholarship Application fee of $160 applies. An update on fees has not yet been published on the ACER website.

2. Have you completed an Enrolment Application form for the College?

Scholarship candidatexs will not be considered for a place at the College unless they have completed a Shellharbour Anglican College Enrolment Application. No offer of a Scholarship can be made to a student who has not applied for enrolment. Our Online Enrolment Form can be found on the College website. A non-refundable enrolment application fee of $50 applies to all applications.

3. Have you completed a Music Scholarship Application form for the College?

For candidates applying for Music Scholarships an additional application form is available on the College Website for completion and must be returned to the College by Sunday 2 February 2025. A non‑refundable fee of $80 applies to all Music Scholarship Applications and must accompany the Music Scholarship Application form.

Candidates should include with their Music Scholarship Application the following documentation: Presentation of any Australian Music Examinations Board (AMEB) Practical, Musicianship or Theory Certificates OR Trinity College of London Music Practical or Theoretical Certificates or any other recognisable musical instituitions awards and certificates. Proof of current dedication and commitment to school music and extra‑curricular music activities.

Shellharbour Anglican College Scholarships 2026

ACER Scholarship Test The ACER Scholarship Test will be conducted at the College on Saturday 22 February 2025 commencing at 8:45am and finishing at 12:00pm. The ACER Scholarship Test consists of a series of academic ability tests used by independent schools to select students for the award of a Scholarship.

All application forms and instructions can be found on the College website.

Interview with Principal All applicants, including current students, must submit a handwritten letter to the Principal. Candidates, including current students, may be called for an interview with the Principal. This documentation by be submitted with the Enrolment application.

Offer of a Scholarship An offer of a place at the College is generally made at an enrolment interview. Although this is not always the case, the expectation is that once we have resolved any questions and concerns it will be possible to make an offer of a place for the following year.
