Unveiling the New Uniform We have a wonderful warm and vibrant culture, and a dynamic learning environment here at the College.

It remains central that as we mature, we still maintain that vital aspect of every student being known, cared for, challenged in their learning and offered rich opportunities to explore their world.

The new College brand reinforces our values and Christian foundation, providing a more accurate reflection of our dynamic vision for the future.

The new College uniform, to be worn from Term 1 2024, represents a journey that commenced in 2019 as a topic that was heavily cited in the Parent Survey. In 2021 we commenced the review process and surveyed staff, parents, and students with 50% of College families responding to the survey, it was clear that our families are passionate about the uniform.

The survey conveyed that our students and families wanted a uniform that: • provided improved flexibility and functionality – including styling, fabrics, durability, practicality, sunsafe/warmth, inclusivity and comfort • is cost effective and value for money, hence the uniform pieces being cut from over 70 to over 30.

• is reflective of a forward-thinking independent school for while also responding to the culture and heritage of the School.

As communicated through the uniform refresh process, and in response to parent feedback, we have diligently strived to incorporate greater inclusivity, enhanced adaptability, and reduced uniform components.

The revised uniform policy will eliminate the distinction between 'summer' and 'winter' attire. Instead, the formal uniform is suitable for year-round wear, promoting student comfort. This adjustment not only grants increased flexibility but also enhances affordability, enabling families to invest in only the essential uniform items.

The Journey Pursue Tomorrow In 2024, the following year groups will be required to purchase the new uniform, this includes families who might already have siblings at the College. The reason for this is due to the limited availability of stock as we prepare for the transition.

Prep 2024 Kindergarten 2024 Year 7 2024 All new students to the College in 2024

Year 11 and 12 2024 - Students have the option of wearing the current 'senior uniform' for their final years of schooling, or they might decide to wear the new uniform.

Year 10, 2025 - it will be compulsory for these students to transition to the new senior uniform for their final three years of schooling.

The College Uniform was heavily cited in the 2019 Parent Survey as an area to be addressed. The Head of College at the time, along with the College Council agreed that the uniform would be reviewed and refreshed.

In 2021 we commenced the review process and surveyed staff, parents, and students.

It was clear that our families are passionate about the uniform. Common themes that were raised included the need for unisex options, more flexibility, and less uniform pieces.

January 2022 - Official announcement of uniform review in response to 2019 parent survey.

May 2022 – Whole College survey (parents, staff, students) to consult key stakeholders. 50% of families responded to this survey and feedback was as expected, split.

September 2022 – A College Conversation – Strategic Planning sessions, open to all College families and staff.

November 2022 – Uniform Sessions with parents, staff, students. The parents that attended represented all key areas of the College, different genders, year groups, parents with students with additional needs, P&F etc. At these sessions parents were shown different fabrics, colours, designs – we then received feedback, listened and took it on board as we finalised key uniform pieces.

2023 March 2023 – Update on key pieces and year group roll out to families.

May 2023 - The College Community was surveyed again, in relation to key uniform pieces as the College Executive continued to finalise the new Uniform policy.

August 2023 - A College Conversation Sessions - Strategic Plan and Uniform Update.

A letter was sent to all College families updating them on key items discussed during these sessions. The letter also communicated the decisions made regarding new Uniform Policies.

The following year groups will be required to purchase the new uniform to wear in 2024, this includes families who might already have siblings at the College. The reason for this is due to the limited availability of stock as we prepare for the transition.

2027 marks the end of the three-year transition period and all students will be required to wear the new uniform at the beginning of this year.

Bags Medium School Bag

Large School Bag

It is recommended that the younger Prep to Year 2 students wear the medium size bag.

The large school bag provides premium support and is recommended for students from Year 3 to Year 12.

Library Bag A library bag is required for Prep to Year 6 students to be brought to school on their library day.

Excursion Bag A smaller excursion bag is available for all students.
