Our program. For the past 50 years we have worked hard on delivering a product that is diverse, but still consistent enough to meet the needs of our buyers. We feel that our bloodlines we are using today are a true testament to the program we have created. Going all the way back to Saska Sunny Boy, Super Nice, Super Trader Bar, The CW Special, Johnny Joak, McArthurs Geno, and Tallymine to name a few, we feel that our sires are a major key to our continued success.

We continue to strive to meet our goal of providing you, our valued customers, with a reliable and predictable product. We take great pride in producing foals that meet our strict criteria of, excellent disposition, versatility, eye appeal, and proven bloodline. These have been our top priorities for the past 50 years, and will continue to be as long as we are breeding horses.

We would like to sincerely thank all our customers for having confidence in our breeding program, and helping us promote and prove our product year to year. Without your support we would not exist. Our horses have been very good to us and we have met a lot of AMAZING people that have become lifelong friends, and for that we are truly grateful.

Our DKR Family

With nothing more than a passion for horses, a dream and a little piece of land, Diamond K Ranch was created. Tom and Jean King are the true creators of this wonderful place we are lucky enough to call our home. From the very beginning, Tom had a passion for having a product that was versatile, bred well, and looked great doing it. His very first stallion was Saska Sunny Boy, and from that moment on, we have continued to grow.

Over the past few years, the DKR crew has changed just a little. We have added three son-in-laws, five grand-daughters, and one grandson.

To start off our Reference Sires, we would LOVE to introduce you to Pepincs Smokin Gun! (Gunner for short) He is a stout, strong, 1996 sorrel stallion. Gunner has the power, the cow sense, as well as the look that everyone wants! You can bet that he throws that into all of his offspring! Gator has been with me for the past 10 years, and together we’ve done it all. He was the first colt I ever selected and started from the ground up. He was my 4-H mount for a number of years, and my constant companion when I moved away to college. He was the horse I learned to rope off of (while learning to be a rope horse himself). He’s completed every aspect of ranch work I ask, and went to town to show the very next day, without missing a beat. This horse is more than just a horse to me; he’s my constant companion and my truest friend. Whenever I get asked if I’m interested in selling, I just shake my head and smile, because no money in the world would trade me out of this horse. We welcomed the newest member to our family this past December and we are overjoyed with all of the ups and downs of parenting,

Both Ryley and myself are full time Diamond K Ranch employees. We have our own little operation mixed in with Diamond K, and we can’t thank our families enough for giving us this opportunity. We like to believe that we have the best of both worlds, we are able to see first hand how a successful PMU operation is ran, as well as play with the clubby show calf side of things. ** Cattle- We were lucky enough to have both Grand and Reserve Champion Steers at CWA this past year, and we will be taking a few steers again this year. ** The horses** The mares that we have apart of our program are mostly from Diamond K Ranch! Our foals we have in the sale are from the same program and bloodlines you know and love! *We have decided to leap head first into the paint world, with the purchase of a 2018 stud colt More Then A Crush. He is a Grandson of Lazy Loper and Dirty Rocki, we look forward to his show career and eventually crossing him with our mares. ** We also have two very exciting paint foals on the ground this year! A Stud colt by The New Tallent, and a filly sired

by My Kind Of Lazy. We have big dreams for these two and can’t wait to watch them grow!

With an impressive background in showing, a love for reining and years of experience working daily with Tom King, the knowledge Kayla has is impressive.

With nothing more than a dream, a full heart and determination, Tom laid the foundation of Diamond K Ranch. As we stand here over 50 years later, I think we can say that Toms’ dream for Diamond K came true. Good quality horses, with easy trainable minds, and personalities that are one of a kind, just like Toms. We have him to thank for where we are today and we will never forget that. Everyday we are constantly reminded of him and the things that he would do and say to us to make us laugh. We could write a million things to say about Tom, but everyone has their own memories of him and we would like you to hold those memories near and dear to your hearts.

We feel that the foal crop we are offering this year would make Tom really proud. Tom was always the first to tell everyone how good the foals were coming along, and that every year they kept getting better and better. Even though Tom was unable to see any of the foals this year, I am sure he is in heaven selling them to who ever will listen!

Go rest high on that mountain, we will take it from here Grandpa.
