Our program. For the past 50 years we have worked hard on delivering a product that is diverse, but still consistent enough to meet the needs of our buyers. We feel that our bloodlines we are using today are a true testament to the program we have created. Going all the way back to Saska Sunny Boy, Super Nice, Super Trader Bar, The CW Special, Johnny Joak, McArthurs Geno, and Tallymine to name a few, we feel that our sires are a major key to our continued success. We continue to strive to meet our goal of providing you, our valued customers, with a reliable and predictable product. We take great pride in producing foals that meet our strict criteria of, excellent disposition, versatility, eye appeal, and proven bloodline. These have been our top priorities for the past 50 years, and will continue to be as long as we are breeding horses. With nothing more than a passion for horses, a dream and a little piece of land, Diamond K Ranch was created. Tom and Jean King are the true creators of this wonderful place we are lucky enough to call our home. From the very beginning, Tom had a passion for having a product that was versatile, bred well, and looked great doing it. His very first stallion was Saska Sunny Boy, and from that moment on, we have continued to grow. Over the past few years, the DKR crew has changed just a little. We have added three son-in-laws, three grand-daughters, one grandson and we look forward to seeing our crew grow in the future.

Well Diamond K Ranch, first off, I will admit that I’m going to sound a bit biased, but I truly believe that JT Go Special Pet, affectionately known as “Gator” is the best horse you folks have ever raised. Gator has been with me for the past 10 years, and together we’ve done it all. He was the first colt I ever selected and started from the ground up. He was my 4-H mount for a number of years, and my constant companion when I moved away to college. He was the horse I learned to rope off of (while learning to be a rope horse himself). He’s completed every aspect of ranch work I ask, and went to town to show the very next day, without missing a beat. This horse is more than just a horse to me; he’s my constant companion and my truest friend. Whenever I get asked if I’m interested in selling, I just shake my head and smile, because no money in the world would trade me out of this horse. Both Ryley and myself are full time Diamond K Ranch employees. We have our little operation mixed in with Diamond K, and we cant thank our families enough for giving us this oppurtunity. We like to believe that we have the best of both worlds, we are able to see first hand how a successful PMU operation is ran, as well as play with the clubby show calf side of things. **A look at the cattle side of things** We recently took a leap of faith and purchased a clubby bull named Dubstep, we look forward to watching his calves grow and seeing how they fit into our program. We will be taking a selcet few clubby prospects to Agribitoin. Tom King‌
With very heavy hearts we are sadden to announce the passing of our very own legend, Tom King. As many of you may know Tom had been battling cancer for the last few years, and April 2016 it took him away from us. As we say goodbye to this wonderful husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, horseman and friend. We would like if you would please join us in remembering all of the great times you had with him. For most, those memories would include a horse, a round pen, a phone call, or a time at the foal sale. Tom had a love for horses and teaching that was really incomparable, and we will forever remember him for that. With nothing more than a dream, a full heart and determination, Tom laid the foundation of Diamond K Ranch. As we stand here over 50 years later, I think we can say that Toms’ dream for Diamond K came true. Good quality horses, with easy trainable minds, and personalities that are one of a kind, just like Toms. We have him to thank for where we are today and we will never forget that. Everyday we are constantly reminded of him and the things that he would do and say to us to make us laugh. We could write a million things to say about Tom, but everyone has their own memories of him and we would like you to hold those memories near and dear to your hearts. We feel that the foal crop we are offering this year would make Tom really proud. Tom was always the first to tell everyone how good the foals were coming along, and that every year they kept getting better and better. Even though Tom was unable to see any of the foals this year, I am sure he is in heaven selling them to who ever will listen! Go rest high on that mountain, we will take it from here Grandpa.
