[2021 - 2023]

Not satisfied unless I’m creating and problem-solving. Lover of Adobe Illustrator, canned green beans, public benches, and hiking in old growth forests. Ready to collaborate and meet my new team.

SKATEWEAR

These abstract shapes and colorway are inspired by early 2000s skatewear. Bold shapes and shading combined with soft browns create a worn in aesthetic.

SED CLUB

My goals were to encompass the major and the animals found on UC Davis campus. This project taught me the importance of communication with clients, creating design deliverables, and graphics sizing for merchandise.

IGNITE

The main goal for this design was a graphic tee that would feel hectic, but clean. Focusing on the word “ignite” pro duced clear and cohesive visuals. The designs are hand drawn and hand-inked to add a personal touch.

POSTERS

Born out of a love for both metal band tees and motivational posters, I look to incorporate morbid aesthetics with stereotypically feminine motifs. The pink color palette is utilized throughout all the designs.

STICKERS

Originally designed to be prints, these stickers work as a trio of “mottos” to incorporate feelings of death with positivity and femininity.

BUSINESS CARDS

Reminiscent of a tarot card, incorporated imagery fom a best selling print within my business card creates a sense of unity and branding.

CEMETERY PRINTS

Much of my inspiration for being a designer comes from the way we design death. Morbid to some, the designation of design during tragedy and heartbreak makes cemeteries an art gallery of love and appreciation.

ZINE STRATEGIES

As I walked through the sites I was patient to notice the aspects of each park, open space, or front yard that made it welcome or unwel- come. These aspects included territoriality, boundaries, seating, signage/wayfinding, shade, buildings, and accessibility.

ZINE GOALS

Inspired by “Be Seated” by Laurie Olin, zines were made to promote park usage and the importance of accesibility in public seating. Zines were sold at the local farmers market and prompted a “scaven- ger hunt” of sorts between customers. Copies of these zines now live in the Landscape Architecture & Environmental Design library on campus.

SCULPTURE SITE ANALYSIS

PARTI MODELS

SRATEGIES

Themes and motifs are extrapolated from the sculpture “Bird in Space” by Constantin Brâncuși. Partis are derived from shape and material of sculpture, flight, unity, freedom, wingspan, nests, and migration. Plan view concept sketch (top right) was constructed as a bird in a tree from partis and its form is referenced from the Cedar Waxwing illustration (left).

SITE PLAN

GOALS

Redesign a campus courtyard as a space for students to congregate for outdoor lectures, community events, and for relaxation.

Utilize fruiting trees to support local birds, give shade, and provide free produce to students.

SEATING STUDIES

SRATEGIES

The negative spaces in the concrete divider were based on shapes within a sketch. This parti reflects the energy and user traffic of community events. Over time, these negative spaces could be a host to the vines of a California Grape.

Adaptable and interactive seating gives ownership over the space and allows users autonomy.

GOALS

Craft purposeful social areas with adequate seating arrangements suited for everyone including children and elderly users.

New seating should mimic the curves found in the plan view.

Create an art piece from the divider. Redesign should not utilize too many new resources or GHGs.

ROLL 17

PATIENCE

Learning the patience and focus to complete a traditional handpoked tattoo without a machine is grounding and humbling. Additionally, being able to give others a way to empower themselves through design is something I look forward to as I continue in my career.

FOCUS

Being a novice tattoo artist has given me so much appreciation for artforms that transcend paper. Similar to landscape design, tattooing is a process that requires analysis, skill, and results in very permanent consequences.
