The Chamber along with 58 INC. hosted a “Career Corps” orientation on May 10. Educators across Shelby County were matched with a summer workplace experience in business and industry in an effort to create exposure to career pathways for students and make subject matter relevant in the classroom! Educators will join their companies on-site this summer to learn, grow and bring a little extra back to their classrooms this fall. This program is in partnership with: Therachem, Thompson Tractor, McLeod Software, Express Employment, PRADCO, Process Baron, Altec, Vulcan Steel Prod-
ucts, Brasfield & Gorrie. Funding for this project was supplied (in part) by the HOLLE Family Foundation.
